Full review:
Mendenhall is one of the most charming small towns in central Mississippi. At the top of its Main Street sits a grand, neo-classical courthouse. At its bottom is a lumbering old hotel. In-between is Nostalgia Creamery, adding no small amount of charm of its own, and dishing up delicious ice cream.

The space is decorated by a mastermind. Glowing lightbulbs read "Nostalgia Creamery." Painted ice cream cones adorn the walls. There is pink everywhere, alongside neon green. Some vinyl records and an old cash register (covered in candy) add to the ambiance. The whole package is one of a vague sense of fondness for old things: there's a touch of the 1950s, a touch of the 1980s, and a whole lot of cuteness.

The space isn't just about the atmosphere. Customers are here for ice cream --- and ice cream they receive. There are about two dozen flavors to choose from, along with the expected options for cones, toppings, and so forth. The staff can make any flavor into a milkshake, which is what I went for: a peach milkshake on a 100-degree day absolutely hit the spot. For those who like candy, it's for sale by the pound. If you want to linger inside the darling space (and who wouldn't), there's free wi-fi and ample seating. Every time that I have been here, the staff behind the counter (mostly teens and young people) have been unfailingly polite and welcoming to everybody who has come in.

This is a highly recommended business for those who enjoy sweet treats, and a wonderful addition to Mendenhall's downtown.

I went in to get a scoop of ice cream earlier this week. Walker was behind the counter. I had no idea what flavor I wanted, so he gave some recommendations and told me his favorite flavor. I opted for “Graham Central Station”, Walker’s favorite. It was SO good. Now it’s my favorite flavor, too! Walker was so helpful, polite, and welcomed me with a smile. Wonderful young man and wonderful atmosphere!

My new favorite place in Mendenhall. Been here twice in one day. Kids loved it! Decor is super cute, and staff is very sweet. Thanks for keeping my card safe guys! Wish I could give more than five stars :)

It's such a cute place! Ice cream was so good we loved everything! As it was our first visit, we had questions, the staff were knowledgeable, very kind and such fun people. It was a wonderful stop. We will be back!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!! My son and I went for our first Nostalgia trip for my son's pet shark's (Sharky) birthday! :) *It's his stuffed animal*
The staff were so friendly and even wished the shark a happy birthday! The ice cream was phenomenal. Def going to be a regular stop for us going forward!

The ice cream is delicious! The staff was very friendly, helpful and patient while our group decided what they wanted. The shop itself is really cute. I cant wait to go back and try the pretzels.

The staff was very nice! They are still trying to find their groove so we had to wait several minutes, but did not mind one bit! The decor is absolutely stunning, and the ice cream was amazing! Can not wait to go back and get that banana split!!! 10/10 will be back!

Such a fun and cool place to go to! Not to mention the yummy treats! The banana spilt is my favorite! Each time we’ve been we were greeted happily by the young man at the register. The menu was full of a variety of ice cream flavors, milk shakes, and several other sweet treats. I was impressed that they even had dairy free and vegan options! So glad that Mendenhall now offers a great family experience with this sweet little ice cream shop!

The place is very cute and colorful, a children's dream! I got a chocolate malt that tasted like a milkshake, but it was ok. I wish it had been an actual malt, but I will go again.
