The Gourd Place - By Appointment Only

My friends and I visited The Gourd Place yesterday. Priscilla was so kind and accomodating. She responding quickly to our reservation request and when we arrived, shared the story of how The Gourd Place came about. We were so impressed with the level of artistry that we all purchased a piece to take home. Thank you for taking your time to share your passion, Priscilla, and for displaying your collection of gourds from around the world. We plan on bringing friends and family back.

The gourd place was an absolutely amazing and surprising outing. I really didn't know what to expect
I found myself interested in every single room in the building. The pottery that was done, the history of gourds, gourds for sale to make your own crafts, and the gourds for sale that were made into certain little items were outstanding. You will not be disappointed if you stop in and you might be surprised how much time you spend there!

I have been coming here for over 30 years and always find something new and innovative. Definitely a MUST see museum and shop. Chat up the owner and learn all the methods used to create these unique pieces of art.

Patricia is a a wonderful lady, super knowledgeable and friendly. We loved her shop, bought lots of gourds and loved the pottery.

Very unique place and full of interesting art using gourds! Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area! One of the more interesting places to stop in and around Helen, GA.

Priscilla was so wonderful showing me different pieces and answering my questions. The whole place is pack with history, creativity, and puns! I ended up buying the book she wrote and a stunning spoon rest that I can't wait to put in my home! It is worth making an appointment.

Loved being able to pick some Christmas gifts (previously ordered). Priscilla was lovely and patient while I puttered around and touched the beautiful pieces of pottery!

We had a wonderful time at The Gourd Place. Meeting Priscilla was the highlight of our trip to North Georgia, and I can say with 100% certainty that we will be taking another trip to see her (and hopefully Janice as well) soon. If a gourd museum doesn't seem like your cup of tea, GO SEE IT ANYWAY! The entire experience of speaking with Priscilla and learning the history of her artistic endeavors is well worth your time, and you'll come away from the visit feeling inspired, refreshed, and at peace. I cannot recommend The Gourd Place enough!

Such a hidden jewel outside Cleveland, Georgia. The owner was very accommodating to open the store by appointment. I was looking for raw gourds and there were plenty to choose from. But there was so much more to see. Ceramics, books, puzzles and even musical instruments.

A friend & I made an appointment to shop. There are many beautiful & unusual items to buy. There are also photos & displays of gourds from other countries. The store is like a shop plus a museum. The lady who helped us was very kind. Lovely place to visit.

Make an appointment to see Priscilla and the amazing pottery she creates from tree, boulder, mushroom and gourd castings. Really unique dishes and accent pieces you won't find anywhere else.

An amazing artist. My husband and I stopped there and fell in love with the pottery. Bought a berry bowl and a smaller bowl. I am wanting to get some dinner plates. Absolutely beautiful

I love and use my gourd dishes all the time! On the bottom of the dishes and bowls they have the date! My oldest is 06..... I only get the green, don't know why....they are always washed in the dishwasher and come out perfect and I microwave them all the time!... They are funky wonderful...last night I broke my first piece! Very sad..... Never have broke one before , a soup bowl, but I will for sure drive up to the gourd place and get a replace one or two or three!

Great place. Many unique things made from gourds. All hand made and many other unique crafts. Brought several unique items. Would definitely recommend visiting.

They have a wonderful selection of good homemade things. I love all their Pottery because their Pottery is made from the mold of gourds and it's very touchy-feely.
