While on a trip to visit relatives our 2018 GMC 2500 HD broke down in Mcgee, MS. This is a small town and I was afraid I wasn't going to find a company to repair the truck, much less find someone to tow it to a repair shop. AAA located a tow company and when he arrived I asked about where a repair facility was in the area.

Oh, it was early Friday afternoon. He recommended Dua-Kat Diesel. He knew the owner and called to ask if she had someone available to diagnose the issue and possibly repair it. She told the driver to bring our truck to the shop in Mendenhall, MS, about 6 miles from our location. Once there, Trace went to work diagnosing the problem. It turned out to be trash had clogged the fuel pump inlet and it subsequently burned it up.

It's now late Friday afternoon and a replacement pump was an 80 mile round trip away. Early Saturday morning Trace drove and picked up the new fuel pump, installed it, and they drove to Mcgee where Katie had taken us Friday evening, to spend the night at the Holiday Inn Express.

Needless to say, we were able to visit relatives in Arkansas, and all because two fantastic young professions stepped up and helped us out. If these folks are our future, our world will always be somewhere I want to live.

My wife and I have found some great young friends in of all places in Mendenhall, Ms, at DUA-KAT DIESEL.

I manage a Propane plane, we were in need of diesel services. I walked in and was immediately serviced. Great service so I decided to let the take care of the whole fleet. Best decision I made in a while. Great people great service

1000$ to drop a oil pan is unheard of. Never again. * EDITED review. I had no problems with communicating with the lady. She was nice. The diagnostic fee was only 75 to hook up the computer. Which was not done I know this because there is a eld connection on my truck that was never unhooked while it was there. As stated 1000 dollars to drop a oil pan( no gasket change are anything is straight up robbery and you lose what could've been a good return customer seeing as I have multiple trucks and friends with trucks) had I know that it was gone to be that price I would've declined and came to pick it up. In not doubting your abilities to fix something I just know good people when I meet them.... first impressions stick in this business.

I would not recommend. They changed their name from L&S Diesel to "Dua-Kat Diesel" They are the type of people to accept work knowing that they wont get to you in a timely manner. With that being said if you do drop your truck off here be prepared to wait weeks at a time for the smallest repair. They only care about their money, not your ability to make yours. They will get to your truck whenever they want even if your bring your own parts with you. Someone mentioned a oil pan in the reviews and when i asked them to do mine, they had my bottom end of my motor exposed, oil pump rusting in the rain on the cat walk of the truck all while the truck was sitting in the grass. That i had been waiting around 2 weeks to get back at that point. I needed a wheel seal one time and they only replaced the seal. They put those greasy brakes right back on my truck! I didnt know until i popped the hood once i was home with the truck. They could see something about to go wrong on your truck and they will still have you leave right out of there with it when it could have been nipped in the bud right then. Again, if it where me, which it was, i would stay away (edit). Since the "new owners" have time to reply i would like to note that as of 04/24/24 that even in there google pics of the business with their "new name" it still has Lanes old phone number there 🤷🏻‍♂ try again
