Uncle Joe's Diner

Retro style diner with great food and good service! Place is super clean, the wait staff were on it. We all had different fish dinners and lived them! Portions are very large and had to leave some even though they tasted so good. I had the beer battered haddock and it came with fries, a scoop of coleslaw, macaroni and potato salad, roll and butter. We’ll be making this a regular stop😎🥰

My first time in NY has been soooo good. Other than breakfast at Denny’s the first day we arrived, everything we ate has been incredible.

We saw this diner the first day and after looking for authentic Mexican food and failing, we decided to come here, we just knew it wouldn’t disappoint and it sure didn’t.

Parking was easy as they have a huge parking lot. My ma got the weck sandwich, which kept getting recommended and that was pretty dang simple yet supremely delicious. I got breakfast bc I’m a sucker for good breakfast and it really hit the spot. The sauce for the jalapeños cheese sticks was weird but good. My eggs were cooked to perfection and the server, Rich, was amazing!

One thing that stood out were the fries! Seriously, some of the best fries I’ve ever had. I stole most of my ma’s fries 😂😂 100/10 would come back !

Food was hot and great. Served quickly. I had the Corned Beef Brisket dinner. I am a big eater and it fit the bill. JW had the turkey and stuffing dinner and loved it. Looking forward to dessert.

I got the turkey dinner. It was fantastic. The stuffing was just the right amount of crispy and soft (reminded me of my mom's). The veggies were cooked just enough and seasoned well (told my friends that the cook deserved a compliment for seasoning the veggies so well.) there was a pile of turkey, and the mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious. I wound up taking leftovers home (and they were delish the second day!) We also ordered dessert to go, I got coconut cream pie (not meringue) but still yummy with thick whipped cream topping. When in Hamburg, stop here!

My wife had the cranberry/walnut chicken salad sandwich and I had the Texas Hot Platter. Great comfort food at a fair price. The deserts are awesome.

We went to uncle Joe's diner on Thursday June 20,2024, around lunch time. The hostess who is by the door and seats you was rude and very slow. I did not like her attitude at all. When you're a hostess, you should have a happy pleasant personality. She was not happy nor pleasant. We waited with my baby grandson while she did stuff at the register, when we asked her if we should seat ourselves, she cut my husband off as he was asking and said I'll seat you when I give this man his receipt. (the man already went to sit Down) then she proceeded to walk very slowly to him. She eventually came back and very slowly got the menus and silverware and finally took us to our table. My husband and I both agreed she had a bad attitude and was rude.
The waitress was a doll and very sweet and helpful. Really nice person. She made our dining experience very enjoyable!
Would definitely recommend Joe's diner. The food is excellent and delicious! The portion sizes are very large and literally enough for 2 people! We love uncle Joe's Diner!! Except the hostess.

I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. My omelette was absolutely delicious. I would recommend visiting here.

Great diner with plenty of items on the menu. I highly recommend the hot turkey sandwich. Fresh and delicious. The gravy is mmmmm!

It's our 3rd visit to Uncle Joe's Diner while on vacation. This time, we drove 13 hours just to get to the diner, specifically for the basket of fries and the best Ruben sandwich. The French Onion soup is excellent too (could be hotter). You can tell it's a favorite place for locals and travelers as well. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. Service is excellent & everyone is friendly!

Very underrated place. Menu has just about anything you can think of from a diner standpoint, and then some. There are tons of desserts to choose from. We always go back there for their French Onion Soup. Top 3 in the WNY region if you ask me. Staff as very attentive. Food always comes out fast. Been going here for years and intend to continue to do so.

Stopped with 3 cousins, We enjoyed stopping , we all had Omelet, club wrap, club sand, taco salad. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the salad. It was just what I wanted. Server was very nice. We were even able to sit awhile after just catching up.

Yummy - a must go.
After last year my sensitivity food list got insane! They handled them with ease and even went off the menu to create Gluten Free French Toast.
Holy cow they were so delicious. I finally left a place full. My husband got one of their breakfast specials pancakes, 3 eggs 3 sausage and toast. He loved it. The staff is friendly, helpful and quick. We will be going back.

One of the best spots to get food in Hamburg. Staff is friendly, portion sizes are great and food comes with freshness and quality every time. Order their fish fry on Fridays you won't regret it.

We had a great dinner. Fish fry was pretty good. Not my absolute favorite but a solid 4 Star. My husband got the western wrap and loved it! The French onion soup was fantastic!

Has the diner vibe, the old Hollywood pictures on the walls are very nice. Staffed EXTREMELY well! Service was wonderful! Glasses never empty, checked several times to make sure that we didn't need or want anything more, brought packaging for leftovers and a bag without bringing the check until she knew whether we were ordering dessert (wonderful list of pies, cakes, ice cream and seasonally inspired sweets) and when she brought the bill, she didn't hover or ask "do you need change" which for me is a HUGE no-no. Never assume everything left there is yours!

Food:
Fish fry was huge! Wonderfully light and crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked inside too!

*I would order the Captain's platter next time to try the shrimp and scallops if they are in the same batter.

The 3 side salads, potato, macaroni and coleslaw were fresh and flavorful! I didn't notice if it had a slice of rye, but that's traditionally served in our area.

2nd plate was a chicken salad croissant with cranberries and walnuts, and a fruit cup. The sandwich was fabulous, a LARGE portion of chicken salad. It was missing something. It needed seasoning of some kind, so I salted and peppered it, that was what was on the table.

Both if us has soup; Manhattan clam chowder and Buffalo chicken wing soup. Both came out HOT! That is not a complaint, soup should not be tepid. The crackers were fresh and crispy, and we were both really happy with our choices.

➡The chicken wing soup was among some of the best that I have ever had! It was THICK with chicken! The flavor was spot on! (at home we serve it with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of crumbley blue cheese, which takes it up a notch, just saying)

Dessert, a hot fudge sundae and peanut butter chocolate cake. The sundae was ample! The chocolate cake with a thick peanut butter frosting was insanely rich, it needed the vanilla ice cream added for .99 cents.

If you want a meal, like you would make at home, and you are tired of fast food, Uncle Joe's is an excellent choice! Save room for dessert!

Great diner experience! The staff was very friendly and attentive. Great food. Very clean. Good prices, too! You get the bang for your buck!

A true diner experience. We were there on a weekday during the lunch hour. The place was busy, the service prompt, and the food was delish. I had a reuben & fries...couldn't finish it. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.

The food was delicious, the service was great (I so wish I remembered her name but she was a young blonde with her hair in a bun) and it was a local friendly atmosphere. I will come and find it again!! Ty
