Hit Point Hobbies is an amazing gaming center. They sell everything someone could need for a variety of video, card, and other games. They also have many free groups and competitions to enter for the games. The staff are very friendly, and helpful. If anyone wants to get started, purchase materials, or find help with a video game or game such as Dungeons and Dragons, Magic The Gathering, Warhammer, and much more! They also sell gaming controllers, dice, figurines, truly anything one would need! I wouldn't recommend anywhere else!

Wonderful store! I go here almost every weekend, and the staff has been so patient and kind with me.
They also have the cutest cat named Jake there.

I honestly don’t have a clue what this place is but my son says it’s awesome! It was neat to walk around and look but I didn’t know what I was looking at. The really nice employee tried to help me understand but it wasn’t much of a priority for me so I just listened and thanked him.

Really love the place. John is a cool dude and does the best job getting what you want and need. Great service and good prices. You can’t go wrong shopping here.

We found Hitpoint Hobbies a little less than a year ago and I’m really thankful for them. The store staff is always very friendly and helpful. We have bought several things from the store. The staff and owner always make us feel welcome, even we don’t buy something. It’s been a staple of our Wednesday nights to drive up to the store. My son has gotten to learn watching people play Warhammer in the back area and I’ve never been given any problems relaxing in one of the chairs in the front and reading.

I saw a few comments about the staff and I think a lot of this is just a personality clash. You have to have a good sense of humor and in my experience all the regulars I’ve seen get it. I think some customers misinterpret a snarky sense of humor for rudeness.

Oh and don’t pick up Jake. He likes to do his own thing and he is not a cuddle bug.

Good selection of games. They have a lot packed into a fairly small space, so it's a little hard to find things but they are happy to help you find whatever you're looking for. Reasonable prices. Friendly helpful staff. Looked like they had a shelf of games for play testing. Everything you would want in a game store.

I've been going to Hit Point since they were off of Morganton road next to Flowland. It's great to have a hobby store in the area that caters to a wide variety of hobbies. I'll break down my review into the categories of the things they offer.

Tabletop Wargaming:
HPH caters heavily to 40k which is somewhat rare among other hobby stores. I don't personally play any wargames but I appreciate the selection they have. 40k, Warhammer Fantasy, Star Wars Legion, Star Wars X-Wing, and Star Wars Armada, just to name a few.

They run 40k tournaments all the time, look on their Facebook page to see photos from them.

They have a good selection of Citadel paints and a few other paints from Vallejo game color (I think) as well as some painting supplies.

They have other wargaming models but I'm not familiar with that side of the store as much.

MTG:
I used to come to HPH about 10 years ago when I was in a Magic the Gathering phase. I enjoyed looking over the many boxes of old common cards they had, as well as the current sets. I know they host Friday Night Magic every week as well as events for new set launches.

Dungeons & Dragons/Fantasy TTRPGs:
My current hobby; HPH is the first place I ever bought a D&D product. In 2011 I bought the 4e red box starter set here. I didn't end up using it much but it's what started me on my path to buying tons of D&D stuff since.

HPH has a good selection of fantasy minis, from most of the Reaper Bones lines, as well as minis from Wiz Kids. I've bought lots of minis here.

They have most everything you would need to play a 5e game, as well as Pathfinder 2e. I think they may have some PF 1e stuff as well. In addition to this, they have accessories like paizo flip mats, chessex dry erase mats, and more. Also, a large selection of dice for a fairly reasonable price

The one thing I wish they had more of was OSR products, as that is where my current interests are in the TTRPG scene. However, I realize I am in the minority in this, and might be the only one that would buy any of the products (Old School Essentials, Dungeon Crawl Classics, Mork Borg.

Final thoughts:
Hit point Hobbies is my favorite hobby store, even though I wish it catered more to my specific genre of nerd-ness. They have large play spaces and host events all the time. If you're in the area, it's worth checking out. Remember to support your FLGS.

This place is great! If you like any kind of board game, retro video game or you r a big table top RPG point battle player you r in the right place. The owner is friendly and allows community players to feel at home in his shop. There are big tables with hand crafted play areas for anything from HeroClix to Warhammer and a big magic the gathering following. Family friendly and a collectors Haven for all thinks board game geek & more.

I have taken my nephew and my son here. It's just what a teenager dreams of. Not gonna lie, the employees seem a bit nervous/awkward, but...then...so are my son and nephew (and I am probably a bit too energetic for the laid back vibe the store has). Still, they seem to have at least one of whatever game you are looking for.

The person working the videogame section was very nice and helpful. I didn't have much time to look around because I had to go, but I'll definitely be back! (P.S. Jake the cat is a very handsome man)

Very helpful employees. I am just getting into warhammer 40k. I was given a set by a friend that was left overs from a box set. One of the employees helped me with seeing how many complete models I had and what types of paints needed.

I was in town for the weekend for work and wanted to see if there was a local FNM. I discovered Hit Points and went to play modern at their store. When you first walk in, there is a lounge area to sit and play cards and table top games, with a retro game center through a doorway to the right. As you walk through towards the back, you could see lots of product on the shelves and plenty of things to look at. In the back there were warhammer 40k tables with plenty of terrain.

It has a laid back home feel to the store, which was a nice change up from the standard LGS. The staff was very helpful, I found some Hero Clix i want to get, but I specifically wanted a batman figure. The staff help me dig through the 3 bargain bin tubs of hero clix to find one.

The MTG community there was welcoming and pleasant. I felt right at home and thoroughly enjoyed a nite of FNM. I wish I had a store like this in my town. If I am ever back in Raeford, I will make sure to stop in here again!
