Pizzaiolo's Pizza and Pasta

I wish I had more time to go into details about this place. I will at a later date. I'll just say this. Don't miss out. They also have a full bar and frozen margaritas. The girl at the bar, Cat, is awesome and very attentive. The food is very, very good. The owner is Mario and is a chef of 30 years. Be careful ordering an appetizer and a main course. The appetizers are huge. The red pizza sauce is homemade and unbelievably good. I can't say enough about the wonderful flavors here. As simple as it may seem, my favorite is the Italian sub. It is very technically correct as an Italian sub should be. They also have pizza by the slice, but I haven't tried it yet because the slices are twice the size as your face!!!! Okay, I'm done now and hungry. I forgot to mention the fish tacos. And there is so much more. I forgot to mention the Stromboli. Best I've ever had.

Mario's the man, also Kat his main bartender is a force of a bartender, always smiling and fast. The beer is super cold, a real local neighborhood bar and excellent LARGE pizza's.. Tell them jerry sent you

for $7-8 these large slices are sensational I got bbq chicken, base is pretty thin maybe a little too much but crust is great, youll need to cut it to eat it. awesome deal and pretty good pizza

Just moved to the area and wanted to find pizza that isn't franchise, but a real mom and pop establishment. Was extremely impressed and so was the family. Ordered a large pepperoni and as soon as we started eating I immediately wished I would have grabbed 2 large pizza!!!! My family and I will definitely be regulars and we can't wait to try all the other food options!!!! Definitely a hidden gem!!!!!

Delicious pizza! Is more Italian style than New York style because it is really fresh and genuine, beside this, they have very competitive prices without sacrificing quality. The crust never got soggy even after 10 minutes in the box. If you are in Gran Prairie area don't miss it!

Great food! Pizza slices on steroids. The owner is as genuine as can be and goes out of his way to say hi and make you feel welcome... can't say enough nice things about this place. Awesome neighborhood restaurant. A must.

I had heard of this place, family owned ( I dated Jonathan Garza in middle school-dated means we held hands)always kept in touch with his younger bro Frank but about this place the pizza is DELICIOUS and the positions are totally worth your buck. Just one slice is the size of a personal pizza! But dang good I also tried the chicken Cesar salad WORTH IT! Soon I heard from the owner, they are going to own a bar! I think I found my New pizza watering hole joint! Totally recommend!!

I think most people that live near the restaurant in GP know this is probably the best pizza in town, maybe even the metroplex...it is definitely known for their delicious, exceptional, gourmet pizza---recently my husband and I were looking for a place to get pasta and some of the token places came to mind like Olive Garden, but when we were looking at OG's menu we could not justify how outrageous their prices have become. My husband pulled up Pizzaiolo's menu and we saw we could order pasta from there and their prices were so reasonable. As delicious as their pizza is we thought we had nothing to lose. Happy to say their pasta is just as scrumptious as their pizza. It definitely hit the spot. Then we also noticed they have subs. Once again prices so reasonable and with only a few sandwich places around here within a short driving distance we thought we gotta try them. Today we had the Italian subs and yup delicious. We also ordered the Pizzaiolo's salad with our pasta and it did not disappoint. The owner and the staff are also super nice. We are also excited to visit the bar and maybe do some karaoke when we have a babysitter haha. Don't sleep on this place for all the things. Also they do have lunch specials—-pic posted:)

Today 3/18 went back and had their pizza by the slice combo. Combo comes with choice of salad or soup. Had their margherita pizza and house salad. It also comes with a drink all for under $8! Pizza slice is enormous! And salad seems full sized. See photo for reference of pizza.

Great food. Great prices. Awesome customer service. My entire family loved our first visit.

Unlike so many other pizza places we tried, the pizza was delicious and not dripping with grease or oil.

Definitely give this place a try. It is a cozy corner spot with booths and tables. Exceeded our expectations on all fronts. My family can't wait to go back again.

The pizza was very good. The sauce had a great fresh taste, the cheese was great, and toppings perfect. The customer service was some of the best I have encountered in a while. The young man working the counter was very sweet and checked in with us. The owner came out and chatted with us. All in all a great experience.

I am extremely pleased with their pie. We brought the pie home & toasted the crust in a skillet to add extra crunch. We also added a little bit of fennel to add some flavor. The new bar is EXCELLENT. Very happy & we recommend. We had a giant for the eclipse & it fed 14 people & was very good. Thanks!

Cute little place with delicious food. The salad was fresh and cold the way I like it. The lobster ravioli was stuffed with quite a bit of lobster. The pizza slices are HUGE and it was cooked perfectly. Will return!

It gets busy so you better get your orders in early. They just opened the bar on the other side of the pizzeria. They got tvs to watch anything you want and the food is delicious! They have a huge 30" godfather pizza that is as good as it is advertised

First time. I liked the pizza. I didn't dine in but cashier was nice and offered to open the door for my giant 30" meat lovers pizza. It barely fit out the door. I'm planning to go a 2nd time.

Random thing but I like that their ham is sliced like pepperoni.

I lived in the northeast and this is the closest to New York style Pizza I've ever tasted here in the south.
The Chef is from N.Y. so obviously makes sense.
A must try.

My Novia and I are going to bring the kids next time to get the 'Godfather Pizza' of 30' inches.
Can't wait!!

Update.
Whole family loved the Godfather pizza. You can get a slice at a very reasonable price. I forget exactly, maybe 6 or 7 dollars but the slice is huge and about the size of a regular small pizza.

Get a load of the ravioli I got the other day. A true Gem. This is my very picky Gurl's favorite Italian place.

She is not a fan of how they make the shrimp as it's always dry but there is not one other thing on the menu that we both don't like.
Make the shrimp more juicy and it a heaven on earth.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this small restaurant. The food was delicious! I can't eat lettuce, so instead of salad the owner gave me a small bowl of pesto pasta. The order of spinach artichoke dip was much larger than they usually are lately from other places. I was also impressed with the size of the calzone! Everything was delicious!

Excellent place for gatherings and lunch or dinner in groups. Fast service and fresh ingredients. Super affordable and giant pizzas. Accesible parking. Recently extended their space and added a comfortable bar.

I've been coming here for some time now. Slices are huge. You might think you may be paying a pretty penny, until you see that one slice is like half a medium pizza. Owner Mario, has a background in culinary arts. You can tell. From the crust, the sauce, to the cheese and toppings. Mario has also added a full service bar that is adjacent to the main restaurant. Great, engaging, and extremely accommodating bartenders. I live close, but I work at night often, so I don't get to come here as often as I'd like to. Very cool, casual spot. Pizza is exceptional, I need to branch out, and try more of the selections on the menu than just the pie.

Pizza was so delicious, loved the music at the bar. The staff were very pleasant and very helpful and fast. I will recommend this place 100%

1st time here to watch the Cowboys game in the bar area. Pizza was really good, crust was soft. Also got some desert.. friendly staff.. definitely coming back again.
