Steak 'n Shake

I love Steak & Shake. When we come to the area on vacation, we try to make it here for at least one meal while here. I love the flavor. It's so different from the typical fast food restaurants, and that is a HUGE reason for us coming. Their shakes are SECOND TO NONE, thick and creamy! I love the vintage style inside, too. Service is quick, too, as you're not waiting around to be served, their fast.
The only 2 things I didn't like this last time we were there 8.2.24, was they no longer have people at the entrance to take orders, everything is done via touch screen and I don't like that. I can't imagine how hard that could be for elderly customers. I also didn't like that you had to scan a receipt to obtain your drinks. That was odd. Idk.
This wasn't like this the last time we came, and although I didn't like these changes, it wouldn't deter me from coming again. Their food is great here, and worth the visit.

The burgers are made fresh and the fries are the perfect size. The shakes are amazing. Everything taste so good and it doesn't make you feel bloated! The place could get a better cleaning as the floors feel sticky. The staff are okay and good thing you order using a computer. Plenty of parking. The bathroom is relatively clean. You can get water for free. Soft drinks are operated using scanned barcode.

Ok, this was my first time at a Steak 'n Shake. I've wanted to try it for a while but just got around to it today. I got the #1, which is a steak burger with cheese, pickles, onions, and ketchup. It was delicious. It also came with fries, and I got a shake instead of a soda. The fries were really super thin, and they had very little salt, unlike that place with the big yellow M that puts way too much salt. They tasted great and were just the right amount of crispy. I imagine since they are so thin, they cook faster than other places, and you actually get more volume in the sleeve they come in. The shake I chose, and it was a tough decision because they had a lot of choices, the Reeses Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake, and it was great. Full of chunks of the peanut butter cups. I'm happy to have finally tried this place, I'll be back. It cost just over $10 also.

This is by far the best Steak and Shake! Service is good, the food is always hot, and it's not just thrown together like a lot of the competition.

We stopped at the Daytona Beach location on are way home. The manager was super helpful and very friendly to are party of 10 and all of the other customers while we where there. Food was amazing. Fast and friendly service. And milkshakes are delicious. If your in the area stop in and try it out and see for yourself...you won't be disappointed.

Love this place! Easy digital ordering with so many options to customize. …. And the shakes! LOVE the shakes! On vacation for 1 week and ate here 2x!! Super friendly staff, too!

Still so good! Love the shoe strings and the burgers are the bomb. I miss all of the old flavors, but the shakes still make you glad you got one. Try the banana. Yum.

We got 2 shakes and I couldn't tell on the flavor when I realized the milk or something was expired then I tried the other one and yes definitely was spoiled 🤢🤮I called to complain and no answer they didn't give me my receipt so definitely not coming back to this store location!

Steak and Shake has been a Daytona staple for as long as I can remember (early 1970s). The restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. The manager was walking around the lobby actually asking guests if everything was good! Well, it absolutely was!

We went here for a quick dinner. The burger and fries were really good, but the most amazing thing was the Red Velvet Shake. It's great! It has oreo crumbles in it. Delicious! The staff were all friendly, professional, and hard-working. This was our first visit to this location. It was a refreshing change from some other chains where the employees don't care about the customer and are put out to serve you. Thanks, Steak n Shake! We'll be back.

Steak and shake used to be a lot better when they had the table service now you got to sit there and wait and listen for them to call your name it was a little nicer being you know having a waitress or waiter wait on you to me it took a little out of the experience but the drive-thru is very good and of course the food is always great so that's my opinion pinion

I had the waitress pick something out because I literally like everything on the menu. She selected the butter burger with American cheese and grilled onions, and parmesan cheese coated fries.

The burger is a bit thicker than their standard steak burgers and was REALLY good. I did not add any condiments, it was that perfect.

Steak and Shake fries are not my favorite. Not bad, just not the best, but better than what I usually get at Krystals. The parmesan was a good addition, but about half way thru my tastebuds got used to it. So I added some of their fry and burger seasoning. If you haven't tried it yet, you should give it a try. You can even buy it and take it home.

This was the 5th place my Fiancé and I ate at as a couple when we first got together. He and I got burgers and fries, we had laughed so hard the whole time we were there. Both of us got milkshakes and honestly every time we go near there we HAVE to stop and get a milkshake. They have such a variety of options, it is hard to decide on just one so what we do is get 2 different kinds of shakes together, they accommodate you on your order every time. They hands down have the best shakes in Daytona.

Just had dinner here. Food is always great!! Always bring our Steak and Shake coupons for good deals. This month's coupons had too many good deals to choose from!

It's truly been a long time since I visited back in September. However I would like to take this time to recommend the servers in front and behind the counter. As I was waiting for my order there was quite a few unruly customers that were blinded to the fact that before they ordered it would be a bit longer wait. The employees handled themselves well and didn't let the negative customers affect their service. This was my first time at this restaurant chain. I loved the layout of how you can see in the the kitchen in how the operation is being done. I also loved the Chef jackets the employees wear. I wish the company would sell them in a like a souvenir area. I know a good chef jacket when I see one.😉

I enjoyed my burger at Steak 'n Shake in Daytona Beach; it was juicy and flavorful, the fries were crispy and the milkshakes were thick and delicious.

Edit: I got exactly what I asked for this time. The food was delectable, and the service was very quick. I had a great time eating here. Great service. This is definitely an improvement from my previous experience. I highly recommend this location for lunch.

Previously: I asked for no American cheese multiple times on multiple days and they still gave me American cheese. I’m lactose intolerant and would like to not have trouble with good food. The rest of the service is fine. But even as small as this problem is, my digestive disorder makes it a big deal.

We had a great experience here. When we walked in the place was packed, there were only 2 open booths. We were greeted and seated within 1 minute. We ordered mushroom burgers and a milk shake. The food was at our table within 5 minutes and the milkshake not long after that, despite them having a full house. Friendly waitress and our bill came out to $16 for two adult lunches with drinks and milkshake. Great value for the money!
