Dar's Double Scoop

Dar’s Double Scoop has a rich history in St. Paul and the quality has remained consistent. I usually stop in for some quarts of ice cream to take home. Cake and Ice Cream is one of my favorites with chunks of yellow birthday cake making it delicious. I also go for cookie dough, cotton candy, cookies and cream, pecan, and monster cookie. All delicious flavors regardless of taking it in a to go quart, on a waffle cone, or in a shake. Cheese curds, wings, and mini donuts are also amazing! The customer service is solid and the decor inside is fun. Dar’s is one of the best local ice cream shops in the Twin Cities!

Dar’s is such a hidden gem. Their ice cream is delicious and their snacks are just as good. Love getting the cheese curds and corn dogs when the fair is gone. Love supporting a small business when we can and this is a great place

It's our first time here, the staff on the phone was really nice n courteous when we placed oir order. We got a pizza and funnel cake( sorry 4got 2take picture of pizza)Their store was really clean n cozy. I really like their decor. They have a lot of ice cream flavors, which we didn't get[as we had some at home 2finish] but will be going back for sure! There's alot of choices from food to ice-cream so go support n tip!

Great ice cream and a fun place. Awesome prices as well. I didn't try any of the hot food, but the ice cream they serve is Browns and Cedar Crest. Good, high end stuff. Had the Spumoni, butter pecan, rum cherry, strawberry cheesecake and peanut butter cup. All were very good. I would definitely recommend swinging I'm and having some ice cream. Plus they are open later than other places.

-Super cute decorations and Insta worthy spot.
-A bit outdated but I'm sure it's nostalgic for some.
-Tons and tons of great flavors, some I've never seen anywhere else.
-Food selections, mostly fried but good for a summer hang out.
-Amazing and I mean GREAT, like Tony the Tiger grrrreat value for the prices!
My friends love this place as well and it's a regular stop after a beach day.

Cute, old-fashioned looking ice cream parlor. We didn't eat but we all had ice cream and it was delicious. There are TONS of flavors so check the tags on the glass, the list on the far right, and the large sign hanging near the register as they have different flavors listed. You get an extra scoop but luckily their signs show how many scoops you actually get (a small is 2 scoops for $4.75, medium is 3 scoops for $6, large is 4 scoops, etc.). I use the term "scoop" loosely as it was a huge amount and not traditional scoop. I saw a couple kids with tiny cones and a tiny scoop of ice cream that is perfect for kids (and I wish a had known about it before ordering a "small" for our child because it was more like a pint! Fun, nostalgic atmosphere. Very large servings. Great value. Pleasant, friendly staff. They had a steady stream off customers getting ice cream, hot dogs, pizzas, etc. the entire time we were there (which was over an hour while we were eating all that ice cream) and it wasn't even a hot summer day. Dar's Double Scoop shares restrooms with Hunter's Boys restaurant next door, which was closed or out of business but you could still access the bathrooms. Free on-street parking I front and next to building. May have a small lot in back.So glad we found it on a Google search after the place we planned to go to was closed on Sundays. We will definitely go back.

I would highly recommend visiting Dar’s Double Scoop. The owner Kevin is so kind and the brownie hot fudge delight was so delicious, even on a cold winter’s night. Kevin told us he tries to purchase as many local ingredients as he can. I can’t wait to go back and try the food. Kevin said he makes the dough and sauce from scratch for his pizzas. It’s a very family friendly place. He named the shop after his mom and created it because he noticed there weren’t many family friendly venues in the area.

There was not enough help last night, but I came back tonight, and the employee apologized for being short-staffed on a Sunday. I was just glad to get a chance to have some amazing ice cream, and she gave me an extra scoop because I mentioned the long wait around 7 pm on Sunday. Great ice cream, good selection of grill items. Always a treat and cheerfully staffed. Thank you.

Dar's Double Scoop is FANTASTIC!! Friendly, happy, helpful and efficient employees, delicious and high quality treats, a really cute place and AMAZING (low) prices!! We will definitely be returning there in the future!! 😀

Food was good. Manager left 2 new staff with no training so we didn't get the ice cream we went for.

Great little local shop that supports the community and employs kids from the area. I always love the little stores that do so much for the community kids. This is the reason why I love this place, support your small business owner that actually gives back to the community. A must stop if you're in the area... Weather you're in the mood for malts, shakes, ice cream, sherbet, italian ice, hot dogs, Yes! Hot dogs stop in this beauty on rice and enjoy the good things that make this neighborhood.

I love eating here! I had such a great experience with the customer service. I come here on occasion on Fridays and the staff there see that I’m thirsty and offered me a water bottle! They even see that I have rough days there and come talk to me. This place is a 100/10, would recommend anyone this place!

Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. The ice cream all shmacks, they have lots of flavors and pizzas/other food. Definitely recommend the banana ice cream

This place is to enjoy often! From the owners amazing personality and charm . To the Black Walnut Ice cream . (a must try!!! Southern delight) The game in the back round for sports fans. To the art visuals inside and out for kids and adults alike! A must for passer thoughs to locals .

I decided to take my son to Dar's Double Scoop on Easter Sunday. The service was great and the dinning area was clean. We had pizza, cheese curbs and onion rings that were absolutely delicious. To top it off we had to have our favorite ice cream... Highly recommend. Thanks 😊

My kids and I love this little ice cream shop. They have several flavors to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. They also have other food items available but we have only ever gone for ice cream.

The ice cream was delicious. The cashier was more than friendly and courteous her CO workers. Funny me but the place was so dirty. He's hit dried up food all over the place trash on the floor could hardly see the flavors of ice cream In the cooler. And I give them 5 stars because I love ice cream.
