Mary's BBQ Place

Honestly... I came expecting to be totally disappointed. I'm not a fan of most people's idea of "brisket", and I never could understand how BBQ places can't compete remotely with my Dad and his basic old Weber BBQ.

Everything about this place is just enough different from the way things have been going -- in a good way, even a little apart from the semi-redneck atmosphere of CP and its nearby truck stop. This place is the real deal for me. Takes me back to summer camps I went to as a kid in the mountains. I've never been to the deep South, but I imagine this is what them old time backyard BBQs feel like.

For $13 I got actually the most impressive sandwich I've had in ages (tri-tip) and red potato salad. It was like going back to a time and place when the food was down-home and always good somehow. I COVERED my tri-tip in BBQ sauce on top, which was yummy as heck... yet the natural goodness of the untouched meat and juices flowing on the bottom of the bun made for a whole second sandwich experience that made it all worth even more.

I've lived in these parts for almost 2 decades, passed by this place a million times... but as a meat lover, I suddenly gotta call it one of the best food places in the Rogue Valley, and I'm gonna have to be doing this again.

Just give it a go. I don't want them to ever close.

A nice BBQ joint in the Rogue Valley. I was hoping for a little more bark on the ribs. Taste was excellent and meat was tender. Would have loved a platter option that allowed us to taste multiple meats.

Mary's is a small, casual barbecue place with terrific food. Grab a picnic bench and knaw on some ribs like I did. Actually the bones fell right out of the ribs. I really like the jalapeno sauce, it had just the right amount of heat. She serves all the basic BBQ meats and a wide variety of sides. Beverages are from the fountain or the cold case and adult ones are included.

Stopped in on our way to Seattle, and had a great experience. Food is delicious, fresh and flavorful. The service was excellent & we could tell that the employee’s take pride in the work they do ! As they should ! Bbq is no joke & this did not disappoint. From a fellow bbq truck owner and patron of delicious foods, well done Mary!

Everything about this place is A++. Food is so amazing! Some of the best BBQ I've had in a long time!

We finally tried this restaurant and are so glad we did, it has amazing food! That was the best pulled pork that we have ever had! So very tender it nearly melts in your mouth and very little fat in it! The sauce came on the side which for us was perfect. The red potato salad is the best we've had here in our area and the prices are very good! What we really liked also was that you are able to get a baked potato, a real one with sour cream and butter if you d like as your side choice vs fries. We will definitely be back and the family meal deals just can't be beat anywhere.

I go here for lunch when I want to treat myself. Always get the tritip baked potatoes. Always wonderful. I love the spicy BBQ sauce.

Got our tri-tip sandwiches to go! SO delicious, packed full, moist and the jalapeno jam is the TICKET! Loved this sandwich for years, worth the price.

Mary's meat was tender and tasty, they give plenty of baked beans, and I really enjoyed their garlic bread. Excellent service. Their servers were both friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. :)

I love this little place! This is the go too comfort food place! They really BBQ this right outside using real wood!! The sauces are to die for...2 kinds, 1 reg (which is so tasty) and the other has some splendid spices added! Always clean and the staff is awesomely friendly! I believe it also has a drive up window! The prices are in keeping with most good BBQ eateries...the portions are plentiful too! Just a real nice neighborhood BBQ 👌...try it, you won't be disappointed.

Update: Their hours are so limited we can't ever eat here. They are closed after 5 p.m. so it's impossible to pick up dinner after work.

Great tri-trip BBQ. We get the dinner size. Also love their garlic bread. We skip the sides. Order extra BBQ sauce, we always need more.

This place is great! A drive thru with ribs that literally fall off the bone. I called in a carry out order 15 minutes before they closed and they were more than willing to fulfill my order as I arrived minutes before they closed. And they were the best ribs I’ve had since living in Kansas City. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and am excited to have found this little gem. I’ll definitely be back.

Good lord this place was SOO delicious. Decent price and extremely good food. The ribs fell off the bone and were juicy and had a good fat content in em. The outside had a very nice crispness. I will be back for more! Thanks!
