Quintessential NOLA BBQ & dive bar. The smoked chicken and pork was D’bomb! Loved it and all the sides. We tried the potato salad, the baked beans, the baked macaroni, and the Cole slaw. The bartenders has a generous pour. The burnt ends were too salty. We will be back!!

We were recommended this place by a local-we’re big BBQ connoisseurs. This place slaps. The bbq sauce is very good. We got brisket, pork, & ribs. Also got mac n cheese, bbq beans & key lime pie. Everything was seriously good. The sangria daiquiri was also super good. We ate the food too quick to get pictures of it 😂 the only reason I’d give atmosphere a star down was because of the flies

So glad we made time to eat here! Sides and sauce really lean into the vinegar, which isn't my taste, but my kids are convinced it's the best macncheese in the world and I could have eaten a couple more pounds of their pork! The crew was delightful, really fun to chat with, and the decor is super entertaining. Highly recommend!

GREAT BBQ spot. Awesome selection of meats, pies, and sides. I got the pulled pork and mac and cheese (pictured) but we also had some amazing baked beans, corn bread, ribs, and burnt bits in my group and all ate in happy, fulfilled silence as we enjoyed some really really good food. Staff were all friendly and efficient. Everything was clean. Great price for food and drinks

Great BBQ! It's a little spicy, as you might expect in New Orleans. They time it just right, the ribs are to die for, and the burnt ends are special (when they're available). Ask for them dry and add your own sauce. Special note: order at the counter before you go sit down. And don't have someone "save" your table. Bad form.

We were lucky to get some burnt ends and sides and it was delicious. The brisket had the perfect amount of smoke, the sauce was a awesome addition. Be sure to save room foe pie!

I wish I found this amazing place sooner rather than on my last day in New Orleans. Amazing food and service. The sausages were amazing as was the brisket. Loved the beans too! It's about a 50min walk from the French Quarter along the river. Its a nice safe walk and lovely in a sunny day to get away from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon St.

There is no better barbecue in America, trust me.

At my house we LOVE barbecue. We believe this is the best barbecue in the U.S.A. We live in Georgia and make it a point to stop here every time we visit New Orleans, even if we are just passing through.

All of their meats are delectable, finger licking, delicious. My very favorites are the brisket and sausage, lord I love sausage, so try theirs with the mustard sauce. The brisket is so astonishingly good. It doesn’t need any sauce at all, just eat it plain and eat it all and appreciate the glorious, buttery fat and dry rub. It’s so damn good.

Don’t miss out on the great sides too, like those awesome cornbread muffins and Mac and cheese.

Bottom line, if you find yourself in New Orleans, you simply must head to the Joint for at least one meal. You will not be disappointed - they are the best anywhere!!

Meaty pork ribs that were done just right. Tender, succulent brisket. Tangy coleslaw that had just the right balance. Very nice Mac and cheese. Crisp, rich cornbread. Great local beer on tap.

Had the "W" special (3 meats) with mac&cheese and wife had chicken with 2sides (baked beans and corn cakes).

We were told of this by Ramon (a local) and he was so right!

Fantastic eats! Go there!

We love this place!!! One of our favorite restaurants in the city. The food is great! Best pecan pie ever. My daughter could eat a gallon of the Mac and cheese. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this place.

My second time being at this place and it still rocks! Last time was in 2020 on our BBQ Roadtrip. Today I had the 3 meat plate w ribs, brisket and sausage. 2 sides mac n cheese and coleslaw. Comes with white bread but get some of their cornbread muffins... super good! Everything was great and service was friendly and quick

We stopped by this place after visiting Jamnola and renting E-bikes to ride the neighborhood. This came from a local who was walking and gave us a tip to eat here while on vacation. Wow! Great BBQ spot! We thoroughly enjoyed the brisket, burnt ends, sides, and mojitos. Come support this awesome business!

The Joint is in the Baywater area of New Orleans. We were visiting from Washington State. Saw it on DDD and it did not disappoint. Could smell the smoke as we pulled up. We went on a Thursday evening for dinner and thankfully it was not crowded. The ribs were perfectly cooked. The sausage and brisket were so tasty. Not only were they good but the portions were sizeable as well. The coleslaw and homemade potato salad were also very good and we ate every bit. The owner was there and was very friendly and welcoming. Even gave us a free slice of key lime pie and had we not been so full. This was a great choice. Highly recommend if you'rein the mood for BBQ and want to get out of the hustle and bustle of the downtown areas.

Had the pastrami sandwich and a side of burnt ends. Beats anything you could find in Texas (yeah, you heard me!) Not too many people think of New Orleans as a BBQ town - but it's a FOOD TOWN and so it stands to reason that any type of food done in this city will be great. Strongly recommend!

The foods is so good that they often run low on weekends late. The ribs and sausage are my favorite. Beer is cheap. The special samplers (when available) give great value for the money. Staff could not be nicer. You will not leave disappointed.

A few years back my husband was visiting our son and his family in Metairie. They took us to this great BBQ -lace “Tge Joint”. It was wonderful. Meat melts in your mouth and oh what great sides. The beans fantastico I suggest this place to everyone I hear that is going to south Louisiana.
