I came to buy canned dog food. The Small & Medium Breed Puppy Recipe Dog Food 5 oz was priced at $1.99. I was charged $2.99. The cashier also tried explaining to the manager on duty that the canned food was priced incorrectly. The manager on duty would not honor the fact that the dog food was priced incorrectly and would not refund me. The 13 oz cans were priced at $2.99. I bought 5 ounce cans that were priced at $1.99, but I was charged $2.99.

Update: I initially had a bad experience with the manager on duty regarding pricing. However, the owner John immediately called me when he saw this review and apologized! I really appreciate the fact that he took out the time to call me and make the issue right! Besides that one incident, my experience with Pet City Houston has been great and my Morkie is doing well! The owner really cares about his customers which is something you don’t find often! Thank you John!

Staff was great! Very friendly and knowledgeable. They were very patient with me and my son. We had lots of questions and they really educated us. Went to look only and walked out with a baby rabbit and all the essentials

I didn't go to get a puppy just let me son see that it's best not to have one. Upon arrival this little girl waved at me, she trapped me with her cute face and loving eyes. I didn't even see other dogs she was coming home.

Her home, she is loved by us and she loves us back.

This is my third time buying a Shih Tzu from Pet City. I trust this place over the other places like Pet Land. Quaterius was my salesperson and he was very knowledgeable and kind throughout the buying process. He showed me two female Shih Tzus and I purchased one with a blue eye (super cute). The pricing is expensive (over $3400) but you leave with a crate (and a ton of accessories including an engraved pet tag), microchip, and local vet care is provided within four days. I would suggest taking your puppy to get an exam just to be sure they are healthy. The pup is AKC / ACA registered and you'll have documentation of the sire and dam. You'll also receive shot records and feeding times.

I purchased a puppy from them 14 years ago. He never had any health issues. He passed this year. I look forward to getting new babies.

We needed a life vest for Gracie. She loves water, but once in a while panics and needs assistance getting back in the boat or on the boat dock! Contacted Pet City. They asked for her stats and immediately fitted her with the perfect vest! Pet City is the best when it comes to customer service and follow up!!

Pet City is an amazing Pet Store! One of the few who still sell pets on location. The people were so helpful to us, and compassionate to the animals. A truly positive experience. We adopted a furry baby, and Madelaine made the process swift and painless. She was so knowledgeable and a complete angel. She set us up with enough supplies for quite a while and gave us a full history of our new family member. It was perfect. Thank you.

I’ve come here to buy mice for my ball python for the past 9ish months since she was a baby, they have helped me decide what size mice to get as she’s grown and given me tips for keeping my ball python healthy and happy. Mice are always in stock and definitely in good condition and I’ve only ever had one die before feeding, definitely a one off. I haven’t bought any other animals but looking around the store the birds, fish, dogs, and lil rodents always look healthy and don’t smell at all despite what some reviews are saying.

When researching different dog breeds, I fell in love with the Cavachon breed, and I came across Pet City Houston as they were the only local place that had them. I got my fur baby, Lola on Memorial weekend and it has been the best decision I’ve made. She is a vibrant, healthy, intelligent, and loving puppy- now 9 months old. She has brought so much joy into my life. Thank you Pet City Houston for providing the opportunity for me to find my baby pup, Lola.

Just left here looking for a few things for our iguana. A young man named Giovanni helped us and he was funny and knowledgeable about what we needed. I will be a familiar face here on our journey bonding and raising Herbert "Godzilla" Esquire.

Wonderful customer service. Very knowledgeable. Let us take our time to find our new friend to add to our home. A wonderful playful little female French bulldog now all we need is a name. So many wonderful options but she was the one for us. Time to introduce her to my bull terrier at home. Will come back soon!

reliable source for feeders just wish they had bigger ASFs, they average about 20g so i have to grow them before feeding.

update: they now carry jumbo ASFs! thank you for being a friendly and reliable source for my dudes!

Went there about a week ago.
I bought my puppy Brownie from them.
Great from the beginning. Helped out immediately and answered all questions. Smooth process, clean store. Everything looked great.

I called about a female mini schnauzer. The lady over the phone wasn't knowledged on the difference between teacup, toy and mini schnauzer. When I walked inside the associate took very good care of me!!!! The amount I paid was well worth Athena!!! And best of all I didn't have to wait to have the dog shipped or until they turn 2 months from online breeders. Unlike if I chose to buy from a breeder I didn't know, I felt like it would have been a scam. So to pay $3k for my dog and go home eased my mind! They made sure she was up to date on shots and you have 4 days to get your dog vet checked. I decided to keep the vet they used and they are WONDERFUL! Again other breeders don't offer a guarantee like that or a refund if something is wrong with the dog. You get a huge crate of goodies and papers and she was microchipped, that's something you wouldn't get from an online breeder. The breeders I researched only sold them as pets no papers! For what you're paying, you should get papers! I searched alot of online breeders and none offered what Pet City offered but they wanted more money. Athena is an investment (spoiled rotten)so to have everything be included was a great deal. You would have paid more out of pocket for the goodie crate. I did pay an additional $384 for some other registration (optional) Definitely recommend. I will be back to buy another one!!!

These are where my babies came from I've had both of them now for about 3 years I'm in love with my pumba and I love my bird Mindy I highly recommend Any and everyone looking for a loving pet to shop here

We come regularly for our feeders for reptiles- they always have what I need for them! Always grab one of their fancy bakery dog treats on the way out too. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable
