Probably the best Thai food I’ve had in my life. It’s such a hidden gem of a restaurant. Service was great, portions and food was fantastic!

Presentation was spot on! The prettiest salad rolls I think I’ve ever seen! Not to mention some of the best! Very shizo forward. I loved the Chinese bbq pork option, with excellent quality bbq. Things here are so well thought out!
I loved the iced tea served in quart jars, I really loved the Tom Kah served in the white tin bowls.
The Tom Kah was perfect in all respects! Piping hot, spicy, the perfect amount of all the goodies. Really, some of the best I’ve had.

After a long day of treasure hunting at yard sales and meeting extraordinary people it was such a pleasure to be served extraordinary food! It completes a perfect day.

Ken was our server, he did a great job. I started off with Thai Iced Tea. The Spicy Chicken Salad came next and it was delicious. Mussaman chicken curry hit the spot. BBQ Pork Fried Rice was excellent. It's a very light rice dish with thinly cut bbq pork. I didn't have room for the fried bananas. Next time!

Excellent place for Thai food. Really liked their mussaman curry and pad kee mow. Value for money place. Service and hospitality was great. If you are staying next to Portland airport definitely a must try place.

The Friendly Village is an unassuming strip mall on Sandy Blvd with one of the best little Thai restaurants in Portland. We ordered chicken potstickers, larb with chicken, barbecue pork fried rice, and Lao style papaya salad with sticky rice. The vegetables were fresh. The seasoning for every dish was perfect. Service was fast even with a steady stream of folks stopping in for takeout orders. Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options on the menu.

Cute, little hole in the wall place. I was intrigued by the high reviews and i can now understand why. Service was great, food was even better. Cannot describe how flavorful my curry was, and the salad rolls with peanut sauce. I had the paradise curry with jumbo shrimp and my friend had the tofu stir fry. Definitely recommend!

We had the Spicy Chicken Salad and Tom Khai Soup! Both Amazing and Fresh! Very generous portions as in photo. I can see why it got such a high Google score. This is what initially drew us in.

Found this gem today, and all I can say is wow! Very friendly and attentive. Amazing service and fast. The food is so fresh and tasty. This was the easiest menu to read when you have food allergies like gluten. We appreciate this restaurant and will definitely come back

It's a very unassuming spot in perhaps not the most visited area, but it's worth a trip to this little gem! They had some authentic dishes such as Khao Soi and Kua Kai on the menu. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and great flavors, without the downtown PDX prices. Staff was super friendly. I'll be back

The best Thai food I've had to date! Small hole in the wall place but always busy and great food. The employees are always friendly too.

Always tasty & authentic Thai food and curry. I've tried both the red & green curry any they are both sweet and coconut-y with a good amount of heat. The staff is very friendly and the owner is nice as well. See you again soon!👍🏾

Sa Bai cought my eye because it had good reviews, and I'm so glad I tried it!
The location is an unassuming strip mall on the outside but inside it had a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the kitchen had our lunch out nice and quick.
The salad rolls were delicious, made with fresh veggies and tasty chicken and served with a savory peanut sauce which had just a little bit of spiciness to it.
My Pad Thai was quite likely the best I've ever had! A generous amount of sauce with a nice tang to it surrounding perfectly cooked noodles and fresh crispy bean sprouts.
The portion sizes were big enough to bring leftovers home, which really helps with the overall value of eating out in today's world of inflating prices.

I'm definitely going back again, as there are lots of dishes on the menu that I will want to try!

And, of course, they are trans friendly 🏳‍🌈🐸

This place is small but was already very busy by 11:30 am! Had the steamed dumplings which were flavorful and the green and panang curries, both delicious! And portions are good sized! Definitely revisiting!

Don't be afraid of Thai Spice level.
It doesn't hurt too bad.
Good price and quality.
Service is perfectly quiet but attentive.
I'd eat here every other day if able.

I had a evening business meal here and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful in helping us to ensure we had the right level of spice in our food. Medium level is hot here. I had ‘drunken’ pad Thai noodles with beef. The meal was preceded by their version of shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce. The rolls were loaded with vegetables and tasty with the peanut sauce. This is a great restaurant in an older style strip mall so do not be disappointed as the food is excellent.

We just flew into Portland and we were looking for a place to eat on our way out towards Hood River.

This place had great reviews so we decided to try it. Great meal at an unassuming spot.
