The River Course at Keystone

Beautiful course in Keystone. Enjoyed playing here as a novice golf course, had challenging aspects but was very enjoyable. Good clubhouse food and friendly staff too!

Unbelievable customer service! We had a trip scheduled. The golf broker, did not do a great job. The Golf Pro (Philip) Knew exactly what to do and fixed it all for us. The course and staff are excellent. Worth a trip from COS.

Wonderful course! The front 9 follows a gentle river while the back 9 climbs up a mountain and has those Colorado snow capped Mountain View’s! Fast *TOUGH* greens, don’t leave your putt uphill if the hole!

This is an amazing golf course! Their are so many obstacles that make it a challenging course. They have GPS on the golf carts and free water to bring with you throughout the game. Truly the best course I've ever played!

Only the River Course has been open so far this season. The Ranch Course remains closed due to COVID and probably an anticipated downturn in visiting golfers and possibly a shortage in available carts and staff. A shortage of visitors doesn’t seem to be the case. All tee times seem to fill up daily.
Pace of play has been slow some days.
Fairways, greens and tee boxes are in nice condition.
The roughs are rough. The front nine par threes are as tough as ever. The slope up to the 17th green has fully recovered from the shrinkage of the monster bunker.
Our hero and co-founder of Keystone Resort, 96 year old Bill Bergman, just aced the 15th hole here last Monday.
A great game for all ages.
2022 update: Summer golf at Keystone River and Ranch is shaping up in spite of late season snow and freezes. I added from my round at the River Course today 6/20/22.

Views are stunning. Course is tough but fun. Staff was good. Wish we had time for another nine.

This was our second time playing Keystone River Course and it was better than the first. Greens were in excellent condition from the summer rains. Spongy and fast. This is a challenging course but well worth it. The priciest of the courses we played but well worth it. My husband says it is reliably excellent. Staff is friendly and will keep evwryone on track.

Course was beautiful, scoreable if you avoid the bunkers. Rained for maybe 6 holes, but we played through it, the sunset was incredible.

The lunch and learn is a great deal! Rob Gannon is a top tier professional. highly recommend taking lessons with him! Beautiful course and friendly employees. Golf without horrible attitude !

Challenging and very well maintained course with spectacular views. The staff organized the Covid detour very well.

Played this course late summer of 2020, and it was the best condition I have ever seen it. The greens were not just good for a mountain course, they were some of the best I've played all year. This is a quintessential Colorado mountain golf course, highly recommend!

Shout out the beverage cart attendant, Katie - She did an excellent job serving up cold drinks and we saw her probably 6 times throughout the round, she even remembered our names! Easily the best (2016: "cart girl" / 2020: "beverage cart attendant") I've ever come across. She seems like she loves her job, and is a true pro.

This course has the BEST views of any course I've played within an hour of Vail, and I've played most of them. For $165 max, and great twilight rates. Highly recommend. 35 minutes from Vail. I unfortunately lost my phone that had the pics of my round. If I recover them, or get to play again ill upload then. Just do yourself a favor and go. The greens were superb as well.

We were a golf group of 12 guys who went out to Breckenridge area to play this course as well as The Raven and Breckenridge GC. This was my favorite course of the 3. The greens were in great shape for the time of year, the course overall was in very good shape as well. The staff was very friendly and the layout of the course was challenging and very scenic. I would definitely play here again if/when I am back in the area.

I've been playing Keystone river for 7 years now as part of a guys trip. The course is consistently in much better shape than courses in the surrounding area and has a great layout. A class above others in the area at the same price. The staff is all professional, attentive, and friendly. This year, the cart girl (Katie) was especially great, coming around frequently and even remembering our names!

We will be coming back and I always recommend the course to anyone looking to play in the area.

My son and I booked a Stay and Play golf getaway with Keystone Resorts. It was a fantastic experience. The customer service was fantastic and the golf course was phenomenal. Vickie at the pro shop was extremely friendly and helpful. All the starters were super friendly, helpful and accomodating. The staff and the course made my special time with my son a lifetime memory. Thanks to everyone at the River Course !!!!
