Oldest operating gun shop in America. Kyle a Dave were great. Carey is the owner and he was amazing. He had a giant selection of guns. I came for 1 gun and purchased 3. He also had antique guns in his own museum. Peterson guns is a must stop. Great selection great people. Thanks again guys. I’ll be back!!!

Great old school gun shop with a knowledgeable staff

Been going here for 25 years. Great owners and staff. Most recently they’ve been there for my NFA purchases and have been very user friendly.

This is my favorite gun shop. The guys are all super friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to find the gun I wanted and get top notch service. The prices are good. Not sure why some of these reviews say otherwise. They also have better stock than the other four gun shops I went to before this one.

The guys at the shop are great and Matt is super helpful and super knowledgeable and Kyle is great too

This is a really cool old store. They have some extremely nice collection of antique firearms. Some of them are not even for sell, but extremely cool to see. Overall the prices were OK. The best part about the visit was how helpful the staff were. They weren't pushy or overbearing, just there to help with any questions you might have. Overall a very good experience. Would visit again if I was in the area.

The gentlemen at this store were very patient with my many questions. Their recommendations for my first gun were based on my knowledge and experience. They are so respectful and honest. Go there and enjoy a trial run with your new gun.

found the gun store on line, called, they had a CZ we wanted. We drove up from Polk City (near Lakeland)-easy drive, great folks to do business with. Reasonable price. Easy to talk to and work with. Excellent experience - well worth the search and hour or so drive. Karen and Jim in central Florida.

I went in and talked with Greg nice person I am a first time rifle buyer talked to him about my disability of my arms and showed him the gun i wanted to buy. He ordered it for me but of course i checked everywhere and it is out of stock all over he matched the price that was online no problem and then i asked him do you have anything in stock that would work for my arms since one doesnt bend and one doesnt rotate motorcycle accident. He showed me light weight and easy for me to hold he took the time and listened and we found something in store that worked for me only prob was it didnt come with a fore grip but he threw in red / green dot scope ( wasnt terrible expensive i know) and carrying bag for me and gave me discount. So in end basically good sales good costumer service for me. I will be going back for ordering a fore grip i took the time to see which one i would like to order first. I see others havnt had a great exp. but i did and i recommend talking to greg.

Been there a couple of times and always had first class service. Last time I went looking for spare magazines for an old obsolete Remington rifle. Within two minutes of looking in the ""old old rifles box" I had two brand new Remington magazines still in their original packing. Better still he gave me them for original price on the boxes, been a lot of money back when the rifle was new but not now. All I had heard up till then was you just ain't gonna get that now as the rifle you got is far to old. A.W. Petersons are for me the first choice in Central Florida.

I have literally been shopping at Peterson's since I was a child. When I was a kid they had a museum on one end that showed the history of gun making and gun smithing. The other end was filled with camping gear and civil war Era stuff. They used to have a case with WWII Era ribbons, metals and patches. Over the years it has evolved to have laser sights, gun safes, etc. But just walking in the doors brings back nostalgia. Bought my glock there a couple months back with the same knowledgeable service as when I bought a shotgun back in the 80s. Expect a laid back no pressure attitude when you enter, but if you ask a question they will have the answer.

No issues, I went in twice becuase I wanted to make sure I knew what I want. The staff were helpful each and every one of them. The store was busy but they made time for me. Very friendly, honest and reliable.

Brought a South American friend here. Our friend learned a lot about guns. Our friend said, "This was the first time in my life that I didn't feel scared being around guns." Sometimes people get an inaccurate perception about firearms and the USA. Sometimes people have a poor perception of firearms from where they live too. It's great that the people here want to have conversations and explain how things work.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They are always available to answer my questions and I dont mind doing business there at all. Great selection of safes as well as camo and reloading equipment. Decent prices and great people what more could you ask for.
