Great coffee from Modern Grind! They offer a wide range of drink sizes, a lot of flavor options, and the staff is happy to answer all your coffee questions. They are so sweet! They make a perfectly strong 12oz iced triple latte and I placed an online order for their medium roast espresso beans after leaving Arizona. The beans have great flavor and aren’t shiny/oily which my espresso machine grinder likes. I look forward to ordering more coffee!

I love this coffee shop. I found it the last time I was in the area on business and I went back every day I was there. The coffee is strong and robust, they can make basically any drink you want. Additionally, I really like that they have yogurt parfaits and BYO oatmeal. These are two of my go to things for breakfast and it's so nice that they have options! I plan on ordering coffee from there the next time I need it. If you haven't tried it, I'm not sure what you're waiting for.

Modern Grind also catered drinks for my wedding and it was absolutely amazing! Beautiful and elegant set up and everyone loved the variety of teas, coffee, and botanicals!! Would 10/10 recommend them for any event! Fantastic as always and helped me have the coffee bar idea come to life at my wedding!

This place is a local gem. So glad they opened a location in Avondale! They carry white coffee, which is rare in AZ, but definitely a PNW trend that I have been missing since moving back. Thanks to the owner for bringing back a taste of WA for me to enjoy! Also, they carry local bakery goods that are delicious and the barista was super nice and easy-going. Will definitely be a returning customer for the white coffee mocha!
Update: The baristas here are always so friendly and the drinks are consistently made so well! Iced summer drink = Saguaro 🌵❤

First timer here and I loved their Caramel Macchiato. My friend had a shaken espresso which was also great. Nice place to just chill and hang out or even read a book while sipping on coffee.

They have white coffee!!! I'm from Seattle and this is by far one of the best coffee shops in Arizona. If you haven't tried white coffee, you need to. It's not as acidic and smoother with more caffeine. What's not to love? My husband got a cold brew with foam, it was smooth. Overall: Not over roasted, smooth and not tooth ache sweet like some places.

Super friendly gals behind the counter. Genuine smiles, personal attention/recommendation. Any place can serve you coffee nowadays... Personally, it's the interaction with the business itself that'll get me to come back.

I'm not a big coffee guy, and even I love this place. Always made to order, the owner always takes time to chat. Even just to say "Hi" which is so thoughtful. Super friendly, really good coffee, and ill be trying more food options too.

My first time here was AWESOME! This is a drive thru coffee shop with outdoor seating. The employee I talked to was super friendly and really took the time to explain the menu and gave amazing recommendations based on my taste. I got the 16 oz Iced Caramel Mocha Twist with an extra shot of espresso and my son got a 12 oz Choose Your Grind Smoothie (whole milk, vanilla, and strawberries). Both were perfect to taste! I like well balanced coffee (coffee vs sweet taste) and this was just that. They top each coffee with a chocolate covered espresso bean and for kids, they give them cute little erasers. Sweet Touch. This is their only location but I really hope to see this place truly grow!

When I travel, I always look for alternatives to Starbucks, which is on my blacklist for several reasons. Modern Grind is an excellent choice being a local shop with very good coffee. Drive through or sit outside. Clean, quiet and nice vibe.

My 1st time going. The girls were so professional , friendly and amazing service. I order a sugar free white chocolate mocha and a caramel mocha. They were delicious 😋. I will be a returning customer.

Modern Grind not only had some amazing coffee, but they also host Cars & Coffee events! It’s great to see a locally owned and operated small business like this being an active participant in the community. They even had a pop-up tent set up in the parking lot to ensure visitors to the event could get service, while still keeping the main shop clear for normal traffic. I’ve had their nitro cold brew, and a traditional Americano, both of which are usually good ways to gauge truly how good a coffee shops’ coffee really is, and this is place is easily my favorite coffee in the west valley!

Good coffee. Came to check it out. They had some specials going on during their grand opening week.

Got their white Angel. They were out of one of the white chocolates. Still got it and tasted it before leaving and asked for some caramel drizzle. My brother also got the caramel twist and sister got the cookies and cream without coffee.

They also give you espresso beans too with your drink.

There’s lots of choices to chose from.

They have a drive thru or you can order at the window and they also have a patio to sit.

I had been going to Modern Grind ever since they opened up until I moved a few months later and follow them on social media, it’s been 2 years and they will always remember you, they make an impact on us as customers in a positive way just as much as we as the customers do to them.

The staff are very friendly, and make excellent drinks. Reasonable prices for the highest quality coffee around. Plus an amazing selection of snacks and assorted health items!

Welcome to the hidden secret. I usually go to another coffee shop that's out of my way when going to work. Well I was running late this morning & this was on my way to work. I am so glad I went here. The staff is super friendly & there are so, SO many drink options. I have been dying for a lavender mocha coffee & this place has one! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

First time here, they have a pretty nice wide menu, I got a hot latte with caramel and it was perfect. Will definitely come back and tell others about this place. Savannah was very helpful.
