Das Schnitzel Haus

My wife and I came up out of town for a medical appointment. We were looking for something “real” and good. Das Schnitzel did not disappoint. The food was delicious. I didn’t feel like I was eating out of the back of a food delivery truck. I had the cabbage rolls, my wife has the chicken schnitzel with German potato salad. We shared a plate of the sauerkraut balls. Service was great, food was wonderful and the atmosphere was very inviting and relaxing. We will definitely be back.

Was craving a home cooked hot meal and did not disappoint. Brought my girlfriend as well, who has very little exposure to European foods and she was a huge fan as well.

I’ve been wanting to go here for a very long time and I am more than ecstatic that everything lined up for this.

Food was delicious and the beer paired really well with everything made in house. The only complaint I had was that we were cut off a bit from the server since we were tucked inside a busy line of waiting guests, BUT I would not dock any of that wait because of how good the food was.

I had the pleasure of trying this restaurant Sunday for lunch and I will definitely be back. I couldn’t decided on what to get so I got two meals and brought leftover home. The owner/chef was fun to listen to and she obviously loves what she does.

Lovely experience eating here. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. If You're in the mood for German food this is the spot.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere of a small town restaurant. Our waitress., Morgan, friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend if you are interested in German or European cuisine.

Food is always spot on at this location. I have eaten here on numerous occasions and it never disappoints! 🥰 I really recommend giving it a try it’s one of my favorite if not my favorite restaurant in the Cleveland area ever since moving here. And I have been to many restaurants not just all over the US but, internationally too. ❤✨

We went to this restaurant on Friday, September 22nd. Das Schnitzel Haus has such a lovely vibe and our waiter even sounded like he was either Dutch or German. The whole experience in itself was authentic. We did encounter a table nearby of a group of young college students (who were obnoxiously loud) (we ended up asking our waiter if we could relocate to a different table and he honored our request). After we were relocated, the rest of our time at the restaurant was relaxing.

The Bavarian pretzel was delightful and I enjoyed it so much! Everything was cooked to perfection, and the drinks (double shot of rum and beers) were delicious.

We'll definitely be back!

We went to Das Schnitzel Haus for my birthday dinner on a Saturday night as I wanted soft pretzels. They were packed which is a good sign. Parking was a bit tough even though they have a free lot with quite a few spaces. I saw several people park across the street and cross a busy road. Inside was packed with people, and all appeared to be enjoying their food. There were three groups ahead of us. The wait was less than 10 minutes despite the crowd. We were seated at a table next to the bar right outside the kitchen pass. I had a great time watching the servers and small kitchen staff showing amazing hustle. The 3 line cooks in the small front kitchen amazed me with how efficiently they churned out dish after dish. Our waiter was busy but very courteous. We ordered soft pretzels and potato pancakes for appetizers. The pancakes were amazing but could have been slightly crisper. I would probably not order the pretzel again as it was a bit uneven being smaller than I hoped. It and the beer cheese dip were good, but other appetizers are likely better. I had a hefeweizen, 2 actually, and they were very refreshing. We ordered Käse Schnitzel, wurst platte, and Krautwickeln (Stuffed Cabbage). All of the food was spectacular. The chicken was light and crisp, the red cabbage tender, and spatzle tasty. I sampled sausage from my son's plate (he wouldn't share the pierogies as they were that good) and stuffed cabbage from my wife. Everything was tasty the sausages had a nice casing snap. Not a fan of the Hungarian sausage as it was spicier than my tastes, but others may enjoy it. We were too stuffed for dessert. In all with tip, we spent about $120 for 3 meals, 2 appetizers, and drinks, so not bad. I'm already looking forward to coming back.

The food is amazing here. My mouth is watering just thinking about the Bavarian pretzel appetizer as well as the sauerkraut ball appetizer. They were getting really busy and the owner came over to our table to refill our beer since the waitress was a bit behind. A nice older German lady, and she chatted with us for just a bit. You can't go wrong here.

Great food and great service. We will definitely come back when we are craving authentic German food. We got dessert to go. I would recommend skipping dessert. The German chocolate cake was dry with bland frosting. My husband said he has had better strudel.

Came here for a 25 person dinner event and was pleasantly surprised

Food: Wow. everything looked great. Even the appetizer bread was amazing. The perogies were 4 for $10 and certainly worth it .

Was very busy for lunch but server said they had a group in so had live music also for them. We enjoyed our meal and the environment. Started with pretzel and pierogi's which was very good. Bread served was homemade and delicious. Main course we had schnitzel and bratwurst plate with three different types. Took awhile to get our food but we weren't in a hurry and again unusually busy. Would definitely go back. Some of the best German food we've had.

I will definitely be making this place at least a biweekly visit.
Your average bill will cost about $80 for two people depending.
However, the food quality is amazing, and your portions are large!
I recommend the veer for sure, and the veal.
Customer service was stellar, the interior looks cozy.

This place was amazing. It was jam packed but everyone stayed for the wait. We had a large party of about 10 and they were super accommodating and kind. The service was impeccable. Our waitress was so sweet because I was thirsty and on the third fill up I told her keep em coming (just pop) and she had my number. Brought me a pitcher 🤣 I loved that. On to the food - it was outstanding. I forgot the name of the dish but it was a schnitzel and it was cooked to perfection. It had a nice pepper based sauce on top and I didn't leave a crumb. This is certainly my new favorite German restaurant. Parking is tough! Be prepared to park elsewhere when it's busy.

Had a wonderful time today! We had a group of 25 + women and they did a fantastic job taking care of our large group. The food is homemade ethnic and absolutely delicious! The owner came and talked with our group about the culture, the food and the restaurant. I had the cabbage rolls and it was amazing! Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended!

First time here. Food was delicious and our server was excellent. No complaints, we will be back even though we'll have to drive an hour to get there!

As you can see by $ rating - meals between $20-30. This place is always busy. So, needs an update on torn vinyl tablecloths, and restroom. Women’s restroom has 2 stalls - one has broken lock, 2 sinks - one is out of order, baby changing table on floor and filthy, broken soap dispenser at sink. Disappointing for such a long time Cleveland establishment.
