Amélie's French Bakery & Café

Husband took me here for my birthday. I felt like a little school girl to see the various assortments of sweets & such. It was a complete surprise to me but I Loved it here🥰🤍 We had tarts, mousse, and an entremet- cute place for a cute tea time with your girls.. HIGHLY recommend

Lovely popping French ambience with a wide variety of delicious, high quality pastries and beverages with decent portions and slightly above average prices ($5-6 for pastries and $3-4 for small beverages). They have ample seating, Wi-Fi and good restrooms.

Our favorites were the creme brulee (not too sweet), espresso bomb (great flavor and very smooth) and the chai latte (perfect sweetness and flavor).

The tiramisu latte was also good but was a bit sweeter than expected.

They have a large variety of macaroons too.

This bakery has a great atmosphere. They have a fantastic selection of pastries. It is a little pricey but the quality of the food and the decorum of the bakery makes it well worth it. We have been back many times.

Wow! This new location and employees are incredible. I have been a customer of Amélie’s for 13 years, but this most recent experience with the wonderful employee, Natasha, has been the best! She was patient and answered questions about the macarons, and then went above and beyond by helping me keep the flavors straight in a labeled box. I am so grateful.

It's a cool spot to have a coffee and some pastries. It is a bit crowded though, but they have interesting stuff like tartines that taste really good. The strawberry petit gatou is also quite good.

Bought several kinds of cheesecake，different colors of macaron lol， supposed to be in different flavors. Delicious. Outside it looks just so so. Inside it is gorgeous. Love the decoration there.

Absolutely delicious pastries! The mini pies are all perfectly baked and vary between light and fresh and rich and flavorful. Out of everything I ordered, the danish was the most simple and something I wouldn’t have again.

Quirky atmosphere and a great breakfast spot! The Turkey & Bacon sandwich is excellent as well.

Fun kitschy place with the best coffee I’ve ever had, this side of the Atlantic! The twice-baked almond croissant was perfectly flaky and perfectly delicious. Wish there was an Amelie’s in my area.

This local bakery has several locations in Charlotte, and this vibe / environment is so fun! It's overwhelming trying to find a bakery item to pick because they all look amazing! The Napoleon is phenomenal! I also got a twice baked chocolate croissant to go, and enjoyed it the next morning - also incredible. I don't think you can go wrong with anything! I'll have to go back and try their cafe menu items. Definitely check it out!

Went to Amelie’s for a late night drink and some desserts. I got the chai latte which was warm and delicious. I also got the pecan pies that were miniature and so good. This coffee shop Is such a cute place for pictures and hanging out with friends or family. They have a whole lot of decorations from pictures frames on the wall to an Eiffel Tower in the middle of the shop and even the restrooms are decorated. Recommend this place

Delicious, what else is there to say, the macrons were phenomenal, the banana creme tart was great. I had never been to the 36th st location before, it has a great feel and eclectic look to it and of course all the bakery items were delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

Food was delicious and the decor is unique. The service could have been more efficient but they did a great job as well. An excellent place if you aren't in too much of a rush

Definitely worth a visit! This place has a very unique setup with funky art and wall hangings. Quite large with a lot of seating and outdoor seating. The desserts were delicious and the staff was very pleasant. Worth checking out!

My company hired Amelie’s to cater a professional event we were hosting. From the moment we engaged their services, they were wonderful to work with, and made the planning process extremely easy. Anytime I had questions, they were quick to respond and always friendly and kind. On the day of the event, they showed up early and arranged the food and beverages on the tables in a perfect manner. Their prices were far superior to any local catering company, and we would absolutely hire them again for our next event.

Before I departed from Charlotte from my last day of the business, I was browsing around and see if there are any local Cafe, and I decided to go Amelie French bakery & cafe for my last stop. This is my second french bakery shop for my breakfast. I am guessing Charlotte has a lot of French influence? my requirement is simple, as long as cafe provides specious work/relax environment, variety of the foods, and ok internet connection, they are my go-to cafe, and this Amelie's French bakery & cafe is definitely one of them. (I did not go to another one, so I can't be sure the others)

French bakery shop is known for their sweet tooth bakery, and they offer any possible pastry that you can think of. on the top, the shop also offer breakfast sandwich, lunch style food offer the customers from the whole journey from savory to sweet, cold to hot. I order Monte Cristo with cappuccino and ending with petite pecan tart, they are freshly made and delicious to eat. this cafe is spacious I estimate can fit around 50 people comfortably, in fact the place is too big the store decoration is a bit eccentric that they put everything French related into the decoration. I guess it's the French style that everything needs to be add to the flourish 😆

in summary, if you visiting Charlotte town, please be sure to spend around 3 hours to visit Amelie's cafe to enjoy the delicious foods, comfortable seating, and kind staff.

P.S - did I mention their internet Is fast? 🚀

Cute place. Super big with lots of tables. Food is great and pastries are out of this world. I arrived before the lunch rush and after the breakfast rush so it was quiet. The people are very friendly. I saw several people working on their laptop there. It looks like a great place to just hang and get work done while having access to coffee and pastries.

This place is just so unique inside, it’s a “must see”. Your eyes will be captivated by all the neat art hanging on the walls and the very cool light fixtures. Plenty of space for a large group of friends to meet and also a separate room to rent for parties. Now, let’s talk the coffee & food…delicious! I got the Pecan Peach Salmon Salad, absolutely tasty. Friend got some soup. I got an iced oat latte sweetened with honey, it was perfection. Can’t wait to go back and try some other tasty desserts.
