We had walnut countertops installed in our kitchen and we couldn’t be happier with the results! Brian and his team were very professional and great to work with, they communicated well with us, and finished the project in less than 3 weeks. They even gifted us with a matching cutting board that they had made from the same wood our counters were cut from which was so nice and thoughtful. They really went all out for us to make sure we were happy with our kitchen! I highly recommend working with them :)

Simply a great experience from start to finish! We met with Brian and team to design a new Kitchen table and mantle for our fireplace. They took the time to walk us through the process, had great suggestions on look and finish, we never felt rushed. Our project was obviously much smaller than some of the other work they're doing, but they still took the time to email photos, updates, and explain the process along the way.

It's great to find a local business with not only amazing craftsmanship, but also the service and care to match.

We had been looking at epoxy river and live edge tables for awhile. We saw examples of UID's work in Colonie Shopping Mall and wanted to work with them. We went to the UID factory shop and spoke with Brian, the owner. He showed us examples of tables he had built, different wood slabs and epoxy choices. It was important to us to have a table with a story behind the heritage wood.
Brian listened to what we wanted and created a truely beautiful work of art. The wood has character, interest and movement. The epoxy river has flow with calm areas and swirls in the center pool.
We are very happy with our table. It took slightly over 2 months. The team at UID delivered and set up the table with their white glove local service. The entire team has been polite and helpful. Sean was very prompt at answering emails.

We had Urban Industrial Design fabricate a end cut butcher block island top for us after they acquired Alexander Butcher Block.
The end product is fabulous and serves as a focal point in our kitchen. We have always been happy with Brian and his staff throughout our dealings with them.

I so appreciate Urban Industrial's craftsmanship and attention to detail! My goal was to create a space in our 100 year old house that felt modern but also true to the history of the house. I worked with Brian to create a butcherblock counter that "felt more like a piece of furniture." He totally understood my vision. He also made custom shelves that help balance the space even more.

I attended the January epoxy class & the February slab sale. I was impressed with Brian and his team! They truly care about their customers and the products they sell. Brian was great to work with when designing our dining room table! We customized leg design after picking out a natural edge black walnut top. The finished product exceeded our expectations and we are planning on discussing additional products for our home.

UID offered a class to build our own epoxy coffee table. My wife and I really enjoyed building our own piece of fine furniture ourselves and it is beautiful! UID did an excellent job of leading us through the whole process and helping us with the tricky parts , offering suggestions on how to best utilize the wood we chose to create our own custom piece.

I've bought slabs from them for years. The materials are highest quality and very well maintained. Brian and his team have also fabricated tops for me to specs and their workmanship is flawless. Highly recommend these guys!

Bought some beautiful pieces of wood for small tables we are making. While there we saw that they have a class on working with epoxy. We both took the class which was fantastic.

I recently attended UID's first "Intro in Epoxy" class back in January. I found the class extremely helpful and learned several things I may have overlooked when on my own personal project. I went back a couple of weeks later for the "slab sale" and appreciated that Brian and his team remembered me and took the time for show me the test projects we worked on during the class. I highly recommend Brian and his team. They are friendly, down to earth and not afraid to share advice.

I have purchased wood and epoxy from Urban Industrial Design a few times now for various projects. The new shop they just built is really nice and has a big showroom where you can come in and browse their huge selection. Customer service was top notch, highly recommend!

These guys are top notch. They made a huge 2.5" thick tabletop, shelves, and a fireplace mantle for us and it took them less than 30 days to complete. The measurements were exactly as i specified and the Black Walnut wood is absolutely beautiful. I started with another contractor on Facebook and 7 months later I had to get the state police involved to get my deposit back. Don't risk wasting your time with someone else. Brian and the crew at Urban Industrial Design were a pleasure to work with.

I created an epoxy resin gift for my wife on Christmas. It was made from our first Christmas ornament. I encased it in resin. It was my first resin project. I needed to buy the materials and get some basic "how to" counsel. I received expert advice. They selected Ecopoxy which worked superbly without toxic odors. I didn't know how much resin and hardener I would need but the folks a Urban Industrial Design did. Everything from mixing to removing air bubbles was explained to me. I also got to browse their woodworking projects. Beautiful.
