Highly recommended by two high-end, large-format tile suppliers, we were very fortunate to have engaged Pavlo Starykov to remodel our master bathroom. Every step in the process from the initial estimate to final completion was executed with true professionalism, very skilled knowledge of the products and tools; care; and pride. The project lasted over a month and was completed in late August. It included installing large-format tile in the shower, tub surround, and vanity backsplash; and complete bathroom floor to include a curb-less shower, RSS single slope shower pan, and Ebbe linear drain.
We have had two homes built and a previous extensive master bath remodel in our previous home. Pavlo’s prep detailed prep work exceeds ALL previous work and we’ve been fortunate to have good contractors as my son is a developer/builder. Pavlo took a day off the project to construct a supplier-sponsored technical class on fabricating large-format tile. To remain on schedule, he elected to work the following Saturday.

His dedication was evident throughout the entire effort. He was never reluctant about extended time and often remained on the job into the early evening to ensure the schedule was not compromised.

Pavlo’s ethics, character, attention to detail, and professional pride clearly stand out and make him one of the best in the business and more importantly at the end of the day a true friend.

Pavlo (also goes by Pasha, nickname) has installed tile in one bathroom of our home so far and we plan to have him install tile in a second. Pavlo is easy to work with and does a fantastic job. He goes above and beyond in the details of his work. During conversations we have had about his career, I have learned that Pavlo has invested time and money into continuing education to ensure that he is using the best products and methods. Pavlo did an incredible job on our master bathroom, powder room and laundry room. In fact, his work was so great we had him come back to do another bathroom downstairs and will use him again in the spring for another project. Pavlo is one of the most trustworthy contractors I have every encountered. His work ethic, attention to detail and care is truly unmatched. There is no comparison to any other tile and stone person on the market - I'm beyond thrilled we got to have him work on our home.

Pavlo tiled our shower and floor in our master bath. The room was about 225+ square feet. He did a beautiful, professional and affordable job. He installed the heat under the floor tile, built a shower pan with a slope that drains efficiently and a niche for shower supplies. He also installed the backsplash above the two sinks. Pavlo is not just a tile setter; he is an artist. His workmanship is superb. Pavlo was on time to work and the job site was very neat at the end of the day. I have remodelled many homes. This remodel was the work of a man who cares about his work and the people he is working for. I HIGHLY recommend Pavlo at Star Tile & Stone.

Pasha is a true artist/craftsman. He did an excellent job installing our floor tile, panels and fireplace tile a few months ago in our main bathroom. It was our first time dealing with a major bathroom renovation and weren’t sure what to expect. He was the first contractor we hired for the project. We asked him for advice during the initial visit and he helped by giving us recommendations for a demolition contractor, plumber and electrician (who were all excellent to work with). He is meticulous, a perfectionist and a professional who takes pride in his work and is not satisfied until it is perfect; nothing less is acceptable. He gave us suggestions which led to us picking large format tiles for our floor and Dekton panels for our shower walls. He explained every step of the installation process, from leveling the floors and walls, to the intricacies of the panel cuts and installation. We are so glad we didn’t hire a general contractor to renovate our bathroom. We lucked out with a stunning bathroom, a high end product that stayed within our budget. We simply love how our bathroom turned out.

Working with Star Tile & Stone has hands down been the best experience I've ever had with having work done on my home. Response time was fantastic. I was able to get scheduled very quickly. As someone who had not done any type of tile install before, Pasha answered all of my questions clearly and accurately, and he gave me extra information I didn't know to ask about. He installed penny tile, a pencil tile edge, and another square tile in different parts of my kitchen. Penny tile can be very tricky, but the install was PERFECTION!

Everything about Star Tile and Pavlo was first class - It was a complete pleasure to watch him work, he explained every step of the process and made sure everything was done 100% correctly. He even made a few suggestions (such as put a liner tile in and use schluter to cap my tile) to make my shower and bathroom look even better. His prices were really good and he showed up when he said he would. Everything about the project was professional and top notch. If I could give 10 stars I would. This is a really outstanding contractor to work with. Pavlo, the owner of the company is extremely professional and timely and clear in his communications, which is not something we have seen often in building contractors (and we have done an unusually high amount of home projects). This current project was small compared to ones we have had done previously, but he was kind enough to take this on and devoted the kind of care and attention to detail you would hope for in a much larger and more expensive project. We were not only impressed with his technical knowledge and resourcefulness, but above all else, Pavlo demonstrated his high ethics - from charging a very fair price, to not cutting corners when we ran into some challenges. We could not be happier with both the process and the results and will be using Star Tile for all future projects.

An absolutely outstanding experience with Pasha and Star Tile & Stone to completely remodeled our primary and guest bathrooms. He is a true craftsman whose incredible knowledge on tile installation techniques means your tile will not only look incredible, but it will be _properly_ installed. Very importantly, Pasha is an expert in the applicable industry standards that detail the right way to install tile for maximum durability and reliability, so your installation will be just as perfect above and below the tile. In fact, he has made the extra effort to get certified with the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation - something very few tile installers do. Finally, while most tile installers won't touch huge tile panels, Pasha expertly installs them for incredible results. We cannot recommend Star Tile & Stone enough!!!

Star Tile and Stone recently installed a curbless shower and heated floor in my master bathroom. Pavlo is a true craftsman, meticulous to detail. He will not cut corners, his personal standards are very high. During the grouting stage of our project Pavlo was not satisfied with the performance of a manufacturers product. The condition was so minimal that I probably not have noticed. Within 90 minutes Pavlo had a manufacturers rep at my home working to a satisfactory resolution.

Pavlo is easy to work with, listens and answers all questions in detail. His input on concept and design was extremely helpful. I’m a DIY person and Pavlo coached me through my portion of the project to get the best results on the shower install. This was the first of three bathroom remodels At our home, I won’t hesitate to use Star Tile & Stone on the next two projects.

Wow ! What a great job Star Tile did for us in our Master bath Shower-beautiful craftsmanship and professionalism. Pavlo , the owner is easy to work with and is a very talented craftsman. Now that the plumbing and shower door are complete, We have been able to use the shower for about a month and I have been noticing more details that really make the work stand-out. For instance, the step-in is ever so slightly angled perfectly so that the water coming off the door drains perfectly. If you want quality and professionalism at a fair price, I recommend Star Tile and stone. I am very happy that I discovered this company, and you will be too !

Pasha was truly an artist when it came to my tile. It was very intricate and very thin and he needed to make the surface as smooth as possible so that everything would look good. He also provided extra layers of waterproofing to keep my bathroom safe. He has a good sense of design and aesthetic and guided me when there were questions about which way to go. He exceeded my expectations on all counts. He was great at keeping in touch with me if he was running a little late, so I never had to wonder where he was. He was flexible with his scheduling when I needed a little bit of flexibility. My bathroom tile turned out beautifully. All my dreams and inspirations were realized thanks to Pasha and his fantastic work. He was very professional to work with and he followed all the covid-19 safety measures. I cannot say enough good things about Pasha and his work. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for any kind of a tile project big or small, simple or complicated. Excellent quality craftsmanship. Pavlo did an amazing job installing tile we provided on the front porch. We needed to finish up a few things before putting my dads house on the market. The porch is one of the first things people see and wanted to give a great first impression for prospective buyers. I do high end finish carpentry in the SF bay area so I have an eye for quality work and recognize a good craftsman. Totally satisfied with the work. I highly recommend Star tile!

We definitely recommend choosing this company. We feel so fortunate to have selected Star Tile to do our project. Paul, the owner, is courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond expectations as the job proceeds and in the future. He installed a tile floor and shower, including a Schluter system to heat the floor. Six years later when the floor was not heating, I called him for advice. He immediately contacted the Schluter rep and trouble shot with him. He made sure Schluter contacted me. When Schluter was going to take 2 weeks before they could even assess the problem, Paul researched and proposed a solutions. He arranged for an electrician to come immediately. He found the part we needed (and covered its cost). After we followed his advice, the problem was fixed and the floors are now working perfectly. None of this was his responsibility - it was a Schluter problem - but that didn't matter to Paul. He wanted to make sure we were happy even 6 years later. Above and beyond - it's just the kind of guy he is. Thank you, Paul!

Pavlo did a wonderful job on our fireplace.
He is an amazing professional: very knowledgeable and detail oriented, and in addition a kind, honest, and lovely person. He was so thorough and polite in our initial email exchange, I hoped his quote would be within my expectations/budget, because I already wanted to hire him.
Here are a few details of my experience:I felt very strongly about wanting the tiles flush with our wooden floor and instead of telling me that it might be difficult to achieve and assuring me that "there are some very nice transition pieces out there" like another installer did, he researched the options and found a special leveling compound that would ensure both the look I wanted and the stability for a long lasting product. When installing the tiles around the fireplace, two of them were identical and ended up side by side - he removed one and reinstalled a different piece to make sure the look is more natural, something probably nobody would notice except for a perfectionist. He worked late into the night one day with the kind of care and love (yes, love) as if he was doing a project for his own home. Lastly, he said he would drop by later to give us a special cleaner, and indeed he did, long after we paid him and he didn't have to honor his promise. He is an amazing craftsman and a very honest person.
I'm looking forward to working with him again on our bathroom remodel!
