Had an amazing Dolphin and Eco boat tour with Captain Max today! We had a family of dolphins chasing our boat and flipping in the air for such a long time! Then he took us to a shallow area where he found blue crab, star fish and more! A miniature aquarium! Captain Max is very knowledgeable about the area. We learned so much! We highly recommend AMI Discovery Charters if you are in the Anna Maria Island area!

Max was a fantastic captain! He was very knowledgeable about all the animals, the scenery, the water, etc. The boat was gorgeous. There was a big shade to protect us from the sun. Super clean, great stereo. There was a cooler with complimentary water. We can’t wait to come back!!! Highly recommended!!

We were fortunate enough to book Captain Max a few years ago while on a trip to AMI. We enjoyed Max so much that we have now chartered him multiple times, including the last 2 years to captain our boat to and from Islamorada for week long lobstering. In addition to being an excellent boat captain and fishing guide, Max has the ideal temperament to deal with large and diverse groups of clients / families. Could not recommend Captain Max more!

After my parents had done a sunset charter with Captain Max during their Anniversary trip in May, they highly recommended I contact him during my best friends bachelorette trip to Anna Maria Island! We booked the Half Day Adventure trip, Captain Max was highly accommodating and picked us up from the dock at our rental so we could avoid the island traffic. We went snorkeling at Egmont Key and got to go on a dolphin tour where they were jumping behind our boat! Captain Max is a local to the island and it shows, he was very informative and new all the best spots! 5 stars for sure and highly recommend!

Definitely 5/5 stars!! We did the dolphin boat ride and it was amazing!!! The captain was super chill and made sure we had the best experience!!!! I’d definitely book with him again!!! He was definitely very patient with me with my 500 million questions I had before I even got to the boat 😂!!!

We had such an AMAZING day with Captain Max! We had 4 kids (11,12,15 and 17) my mom, husband and I and everyone had a blast!! We saw so many manatees and dolphins! While snorkeling the kids found a sea urchin, crab and saw lots of fish. The sandbar was incredible, the water scooter and paddle board were so much fun. I had high expectations for our boat day and the actual day far exceeded what I could have hoped for! If you are looking for a great day on the water, I highly recommend!!

We booked a half day adventure and it was the highlight of our trip. My family and I got to experience a little bit of everything and it was worth every penny! We were lucky enough to see a manatee (who splashed us with his tail), dolphins, giant sting ray, and even a bull shark! I would recommend this to anyone! My two boys are 9 and 10 and the captain was patient with them! Thanks again for making our vacation we will definitely be back!

Highly recommend, Captain Max was awesome great with our kids especially our 2 year old who we were nervous to take. We saw dolphins and manatees. The captian also got in the water with our 6 year old and helped him catch a crab which made his entire trip!! Great experience.

Captain Max grew up on AMI and extremely knowledgeable of the area. Nice clean pontoon and comfortable. We did a 4 hour charter. Beached at Mar Vista, ordered lunch to go and sat on the boat for lunch. Very nice! Great afternoon

While staying on Anna Maria Island we found AMI Discovery charters via a Facebook group. We booked and are so glad we did. We own a boat on the other coast so didn’t know if it would be worth it but it absolutely was. We went with Captian Max and he knows a ton about the island the waterways different wild life and history. As promised He took us right to the dolphins and even found manatees pretty quickly. My wife has back problems so she was nervous about the waves but his boat is very nice we couldn’t even feel them. Definitely recommend if you are in town!

Great time with Captain Max. Dolphins and Manatees, My 70 year old mother, grandkids, and myself had a wonderful time. Will be booking with Captin Max in the future
