The Fox Mercantile

Such a cute little stop, minutes from the beach. Did not have any food but the coffee was delicious. Wonderful options for little gifts and small selection of clothing. Just a beautiful little shop all together for just enjoying the Florida area.

I follow Ashley on social media and watched as she transformed this property into The Fox Mercantile. When I saw it was a 40 minute drive from where I was staying on vacation, I knew I needed to make the drive to check it out in person. I went first thing in the morning (specifically to try their waffle, which is the most delicious waffle I have EVER had, by far!), and immediately after stepping on the property a wave of peace just washed over me. Everything is so serene, and no detail has been overlooked. I spent a long time looking around the store and outside area and constantly found myself noticing new artistic details like hidden gems. The thought, work, and love that went into the mercantile is evident everywhere you look. The selection of merchandise is thoughtfully selected, the food and coffee is fantastic (I had a mocha with oatmilk), and the outdoor seating is elegant and set up in a way that you can sit by yourself or at the community table to engage with fellow patrons. Ashley and her family have a heart for the community, and that is clearly evident through this property. I also had a chance to speak with Ashley directly as I was leaving, and she is the sweetist human! The mercantile is absolutely beautiful and will be a place I frequent whenever I am in town. Definitely put this on your list of places to go if you are anywhere close by!

So excited to finally visit the Fox Mercantile in person! I had followed the renovation and opening online and it is even more beautiful in person. The vibe is so peaceful from the beautiful gardens, the music and scent inside the store and the most delicious coffee! Looking forward to many more visits while we’re in Bradenton for the week!

I love everything about this place! First, Anna Maria Island has been a favorite from our very first visit. We now live about an hour and a half from there and frequent as often as we can. The Fox Mercantile is now a place we stop whenever we are there. Everything about it is so charming and welcoming. Makes you want to get a book, cozy up outside and settle in to just another great addition to the area that makes it so special! A must stop if you are nearby. Photos from todays visit.🫶🏻

I spend ALOT of time in coffee shops. I mean, a lot. Most of my job is spent meeting with people in coffee shops across Chicagoland.

The Fox Mercantile is in my top five coffee shops of all time. The vibes, the drinks, the food and the aesthetic is top notch. Every detail is considered in the design and environment of this place.

If you go to Anna Maria Island, you must stop by.

Stopped by to get out of the traffic on Cortez. A beautiful refuge. They had live music and a beautiful seating area outside. Inside the cutest little shop with great finds and wonderful smells!
We had classic latte, a chai latte and a matcha latte. They were all great. She was very helpful with the matcha and mentioned that it is unsweetened. We chose the simple syrup and it was perfect. Hung out for a while. So beautiful!

Killer spot to stop on the way to the beach. Or if you just want to meet up with some of your friends. Great outside seating. Classic coffee drinks iced or hot. Plus a little shop. That’ll capture your attention while you wait.

And to top it off, the bathroom is very clean and well designed.

This is a must see place to visit. Beautiful garden space, peaceful atmosphere, excellent coffee, mouthwatering waffles. The owner and her family are so warm and inviting. It’s on your way into Anna Marie island.

Visiting the Fox Mercantile was a highlight of our day in Anna Maria Island! The staff is friendly including the owners mom who was working the register. We got iced lattes and a cowboy cookie that was warm and fresh from the oven. It’s a very relaxing, chill vibe that makes you want to linger and hang out inside and outside! Definitely will be back next time we visit Sarasota!

A gem!!! Just happened to look it up and so happy we stopped. Right before entering AMI before the bridge. Must have a Rosemary biscuit! And also teas. Cutest shop as well, bought that hat I'm wearing, couldn't help it. Bought a postcard too, they added the stamp and mail for you. Fun for the kids to do for grandparents 😊 . Friendliest staff.

If I could give more stars I would! When planning a quick girls weekend away to Anna Maria Island, this was the first stop on my list. Following Ashley from @arrowsandbow and watching her grow this business, I knew I wanted to stop by to see what she had to offer. It was magical. Christmas is always a magical time, but the way she approached it was very intentional. We made sure to write a prayer on the prayer tree and explore every nook and cranny we could. Her niece was super sweet and all the staff on duty that day couldn’t have been nicer! I even noticed her son behind the coffee counter and I had to giggle to myself because he had no idea who we were but yet I knew who he was. The coffee was delicious and I very much enjoyed my liege waffle! I was so excited to see someone else create them! I haven’t had one and known anyone to have them since my time in Pennsylvania. Ashley truly did an amazing job creating this space for people to wonder and experience. I highly recommend a visit and look forward to the next time I find myself at the Merc.

Absolutely amazing. We’ve been following Ashley forever, it was nice to see her finished product in person. Her kids were wonderful behind the counter! Love the design and open feeling, great beach feel stick with items of the same feel for sale. Coffee was delicious. And the patio was so relaxing, I didn’t want to leave.

It was a dream come true to come here. I've been saving money to make the 10-hour trip to AMI. This place was amazing. The coffee was delicious. Ashley and her husband were so kind. I'm so glad I got to visit here!

We stopped in twice while visiting AMI. The Fox Mercantile is just as cute as the pictures I had saw before going. I got an Americano both times, and it is seriously the best tasting coffee I've ever had. The Barista's were both pleasant and Ashley and her mom were absolutely wonderful. There are so many cute things to purchase that it was hard to not buy one of everything. I highly recommend stopping in🦊

2nd private event I’ve been to at the Fox Mercantile and both times have been great. The atmosphere is so amazing. Just what Cortez village needs to elevate the area’s charm and sophistication.

First time experiencing The Fox Mercantile. It was awesome!! Only had coffee and a relaxing sit coming back from Ana Maria Island, but well worth the visit and will be returning anytime I head out that direction. The atmosphere is fantastic!! The outdoor sitting area is perfect on a beautiful Florida day, while the interior store is cool to take a look in and find some random gifts or trinkets. The coffee was delicious and I highly recommend for a stop and at least a cup of joe!!

This place is so beautiful! Perfectly curated: modern, homey, tropical, and relaxing. The outdoor space especially is just beyond amazing - grab an iced latte and sit awhile. Loved our time there, from the second we stepped through the gate! We’ll be back 🤍

Such a cute place! We love coming here the atmosphere is adorable and uplifting. The waffle is delish and love that they added more coffee alternative options!

This is such a beautiful place to hang out and relax with a cup of delicious Foxi coffee and maybe a yummy food item or treat.The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the owner did a fantastic job transforming it into a zen like space. Being a local I will be back soon and often!

Easily the best place to stop for a coffee and chill in AMI (Anna Marie Island) even though it’s not ON the island it’s just across the bridge and it’s honestly a getaway in itself! The ambiance takes you to a different world almost! The lush landscape and incredible decor transports you to a world of its own! Step inside to a beautiful, cozy, almost home like feel as your greeted by the amazing staff! Enjoy all the fun trinkets and gifts you could dream of! As you walk further into the shop you’ll find a coffee shop that needs no explanation, it’s perfect and delicious., you won’t be disappointed! Try the pastries and waffles too!!! Great space, great food, great thoughtful gifts you can’t find anywhere else! 5 stars all the way!
