Vendors were friendly and patient as I visited all booths and made my choices. Looking for field corn but settled on silver Queen. A classic white. I will cut for fried corn to go with the tomatoes, okra pink eye purple hull peas (found some young green ones). Potted Kentucky mint for tea and to start my own pot on my deck and last, blueberries (for muffins) and blackberries (for cobbler) for the freezer. To be honest, it is not cheaper than the grocery store but NC grown, more flavorful and just picked at the peak of ripeness. Best peach's I've had in years!

If you're wondering whether your should visit YES YOU SHOULD!
It's the best farmers market I've been to in NC!
Everything from the bathrooms to the merchant stands were very clean and organized. The crowd wasn't too terrible on a Sunday and the folks selling here actually have a sense of humor.

Quite a nice Farmers market to go to, they sell a lot of fresh produce as well as food you can eat, such as as burgers, boba tea, lemonade (really highly recommend) etc. I enjoyed the atmosphere with all the people and seeing all the vendors, however I thought it was a bit too crowded. The restrooms were nice so that was a plus. Parking was quite an issue though as the whole lot was practically filled up and we had to wait some time to get a spot.

Always a beautiful place to busy and full of people. During late winter and early spring the colors are fantastic!

Most of the vendors are warm and happy to assist you! Today we ran into a particularly fantastic vendor at PERRY LOWE Orchards stand!! They were fantastic at explaining their cider!!! We bought two Apple Ciders cold Drinks, both were fantastic! We also bought some fantastic tasting PEACE BBQ Sause!! Also delicious!!

I love coming here year round! So many great plants and fruits and veggies plus all the inside shops! 2 awesome restaurants on property to eat at. Something for everyone! Unfortunately NO pets are allowed. I would highly recommend checking it out, it's someplace we take our out of town guests and always a hit.

First time at a Farmers Market, interesting place to purchase fresh produce, bread, and all kinds of home and personal gadgets -great prices. We ate at the seafood restaurant, the food was fresh, great variety of delicious sea food. Thank you! ♥

Absolutely the best farmers market that I’ve ever visited. The produce was so fresh, reasonably priced, great selection and vendors are so helpful and friendly. The baked goods were calling my name and the flowers were stunning! If i lived locally, this would be a regular stop!

Lots of great vendors and food options. The German bakery and watermelon juice were my favorite finds this time. Will definitely be back soon!

Such a beautiful state farmers market! A self-care spot! A fall artistic date place! It feels amazing to purchase goods grown locally by farmers who are talking with you in person, and to support them! In return, we get good quality food and knowledge of the fruits, veggies, shrubs, and more! A place to brighten my day!

After three decades of living in Raleigh, we finally made it to the Farmer’s Market and it did not disappoint. All sorts of fresh produce, meats, cheeses, herbs, plants, honey, salsa, baked goods, candles, soaps and the list goes on! All the vendors were very friendly and helpful. The only reason we didn’t stay longer is because it was 106 degrees outside, definitely recommend!

The NC State Farmer's Market in Raleigh is hands-down one of my favorite places to visit in the fall. I lived in Raleigh for 15 years and visiting this place was one of the best things about living there. My advice is to make a day of it ... there is so much to see and do! You could start out with a good old-fashioned southern breakfast at the State Farmer's market restaurant, then head over to the open air market to look for pumpkins, mums, or any other fall produce or plants on your list. Then, walk across the way to check out the spices, specialty foods, and gifts in the covered building. By then, you might be ready for a little lunch ... maybe some BBQ or seafood? Both options are quite good. Then follow that up with a sweet treat from one of the bakery vendors. This place gets busy on the weekends, so arrive early and wear comfortable shoes ... you'll be doing a lot of walking!

You are in for an experience. The flowers are gorgeous and breathtaking. The picture’s doesn’t do the flowers justice. There are small farms that have fresh produce. There is something for everyone. I will definitely visit again.

Vendors here offer a wide selection of produce, each in its season, as well as baked goods, ice cream, and candies. But I come here for the selection of perennial plants and trees. A number of nurseries are represented here, and sometimes you can find the unusual plant, or the specific plant, you are looking for. I have been introduced to several Japanese maple cultivars here, as well as an Amorphophallus cultivar (see photo) that's an interesting addition to the gardens. If you are looking for something specific and don't see it, one of the vendors is sure to be able to order it or direct you to a nursery that has it. I have visited and bought plants from every nursery within 50 miles of Durham, and this is one source I have returned to many times.

Open all days of the year! Fresh produce, snacks, drinks, a variety of home and garden items, and some ready to eat food. Great place to visit if you live here or are on a road trip. Plenty of free parking.

What is there not to love about NC State Farmers Market? They have a variety of vendors providing fresh produce, plants, baked goods, and so much more. If veggies aren’t your thing, you can also indulge in a slice of cake and a cup of coffee. It’s hard to leave empty handed. The only headache would be leaving the parking areas after shopping. It can get chaotic, especially during peak times.
