Mellow charming atmosphere. Great vegetarian faire.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Placerville! The fresh, organic food is hearty and delicious. I feel good about eating here, knowing I am enjoying healthy, whole foods that are oh-so-tasty. Featuring a mostly plant-based menu, there are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. However, I am always able to impress people who don’t naturally gravitate toward vegetarian food by taking them here.

While I haven’t tried anything I didn’t like from Cozmic, the nut burger, the Gold Rush salad, and the rice bowls really stand out for me. Portions are huge! The homemade dressings and hummus are exceptional. Also, I do enjoy their smoothies as a treat; the one with peanut butter and banana is delicious.

Furthermore, the atmosphere is wonderful. With its historical Gold Rush era building and fun artwork inside, it’s a great place to bring friends to eat good food and just hang out. Make sure you check out the upstairs. Every time I visit Placerville I make sure to swing by Cozmic Cafe, as I crave their food whenever I’m away.

I love this place. It's super cozy and the employees are super friendly, and the food is just so good. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are decently filling. Their nachos may be my favorite - they're so yummy! I wish they had a store closer to where I live, but a bit of a drive just to grab a bite to eat here is totally worth it.

Great atmosphere and plenty of choices, especially for smoothies. We are sad that the mine shaft is now closed to the public, that was a really cool thing to see when it was open! Upstairs there is more room to hang out with friends, they also have a room you can use for events or parties.

Cool bar upstairs with back area for bands. Nice settup. Friendly bartender. Wide selection of tasty specialty beers. Also old standby bottled beers that are very easy on the wallet. Nearby parking is free after 5p. Worth a drive to this place.

The food is flavorful and delicious, all the while feeling chock full of good nutrients. It does not come put quickly from the kitchen, so grab a muffin if you're starved.

Great place to get coffee and great, tasty organic food. Non-corporate business which is where I like to spend my money. For at least the last 10+ years the cafe has been a must stop every time we visit family in the area, which is often.

Interesting place, I'll have to come back and try them on there and Thursday nights.

Funky. Good vibe. Good food. Service is sometimes a bit slow. Don't be in a hurry. Great place to hang out, have a cup of coffee. Check out the old mine cave and the upstairs. Special music, etc. in the evenings.

Amazing place to be, get good coffee and smaller dishes. The people and atmosphere is amazing, the place looks really great. In the back there is access to the old mine, but it was closed when I was there last weekend. Definite MUST if you are in the area.

Great, fresh vegetarian food, nice selection of draft beers and just a cool, unique place. If you can look past the ridiculous, non-showering, dread wearing, hippie dressing, fake locals, it's an excellent place to eat and relax.

Love this place! They have vegetarian and vegan options and they make amazing smoothies and shakes. Nice place to hang out they have indoor and outdoor dinning, and a loft area

Went there out of curiosity of the place, and inside of it all was just simply amazing! Upstairs they had cool lounge/bar/studio place. Real chill place..oh yeah and the food is damn delicious, so is their coffee!

Grooviest little coffee house you'll ever find. Staff are a little spacey but it adds to the charm. I've also attended cool music events here as well. Charming.

Placerville is kinda limited for places to go out to at night, for socializing, but this is definitely one of the best places for doing that. They have an open mic night on Thursday night and it is usually fun, packed, with good music and spoken word!

Great atmosphere, awesome people. While I was there I got to see several local bands play. All of them were brilliant. Would defiantly go back.

My vegan niece was visiting from Oregon and I wanted to take her someplace yummy for lunch. Cozmic didn't fail to disappoint, food was fresh, delicious and service was excellent.
