City Market Coffee

This wonderful coffee shop is in the heart of the City Market. The line was long, but it only took a couple of minutes to have our drinks ready. The coffee was great. The place has great personality that made us feel at home in the market. We lost track of time meeting new friends. I highly recommend enjoying a slice of your time in the gem of a location.

The coffee is delicious and the staff is delightful! Nicole the owner is very kind and passionate about supporting local artists and female owned businesses. A must visit coffeehouse in your visit to KC!

I love stopping by here in the morning if I'm running early,sometimes even If I'm cutting close on time. They're quick and I love the coffee. And if you are in a rush, drop $2 cash in the bucket, grab your 8 oz cup and fill the coffee up your self, no waiting in line, in and out. The employees are always so nice and pleasant. Best part, supporting local business.

I try to make coffee at home usually, but gosh I love this place. So much that I buy their beans which they kindly grind for my machine at home and I use this restock as an opportunity to treat myself to an iced Hippie about once or twice a month.

I love this spot not just because they make the best coffee in KC, but bc I also love everything they stand for. Their owners are active in the KC community, environmentally conscious, and I just have so much admiration for their thoughtfulness in everything they do. You cannot go wrong supporting this local business ran by incredible people.

We were visiting our daughter from Texas! She recommended the cofffee shop and though the line was long, the service was fast!! Only had the coffee which we all enjoyed!! We had a lovely chat with the owner Nikole who has another great project in the works! Wishing her great success in her endeavors!!

A little bit of a wait to place an order, even longer to pick up your stuff... They have an app with mobile ordering, prolly that's a better idea. A little pricey, but they have some unique flavor combinations and lots of options so over all I'd come again. Plus you can watch them grinding coffee beans which is cool... There's an old metal spiral staircase that leads to the upstairs seating that's really cool, too.

The service is so nice! They are always friendly and ask about your day. They have so many options on their menu and the homemade pop tarts are delicious. I love this place.

I absolutely love it here. If you're looking for traditional coffee, this is it! I also love the homemade pop tarts (brown sugar specifically). I haven't eaten a poptart in years, and it was amazing!

I love this place! The food options are phenomenal, though you’d never expect it. The people who work there are WONDERFUL. Plus, I know we are here for the amazing coffee, but you HAVE TO try the smoothies.

A City Market staple! Great coffee and atmosphere. A must visit if you're antique shopping, wandering the farmer's market, or grabbing a quick bite/sip with a coworker.

The best beans in River Market with fantastic seasonal latte flavors to try. Don't sleep on the breakfast food, the pastries are delicious but my favorite is to get the breakfast club on an everything bagel.

The lady who took my order was very nice. I ordered a sausage, breakfast burrito And a hot latte. The breakfast burrito was one of the best breakfast burritos that I’ve had. Coffee house in the market has earned a new loyal customer

This place has a solid drink menu with all the goods. I had a pretty decent cappuccino. What I'd come back for are those pop tarts. They had four or so flavors; I went with pumpkin (warmed up) and it was freaking amazing! Defintely stop and get one (or 10) if you're strolling around City Market.

I love City Market Coffee - it's located in the bustling KC River Market - especially busy on Saturdays in good weather - and the moment you near the entrance, you are flooded with a deep whiff of the richest smelling beans around....the baristas here created a great iced Americana with hazelnut for me and a Very Berry smoothie for my niece today. There is usually a line, but these folks are friendly and efficient, so it moves quickly. I did notice today that it was just a bit messier than I have seen it in the past... the creams/utensils/napkins counter needed bussing and wiped. We were there after the lunch rush so they must not have had time to clean it yet, hence, still 5 stars for coffee quality but 4 stars for overall cleanliness.

If you have not been here, it really is a must. Order your coffee, then head up the spiral staircase to a cozy seating area from which you can watch the steady movement of happy customers...

Oh, and when you're finished, don't just leave...there is a plethora of sights, sounds, aromas and activities beckoning you within just a few steps. Spend the day at the Market!

We ordered food for pickup. It was really good. We had the egg and cheese and the breakfast sandwich on a bagel with turkey. Both were good. Coffee was good. Decor nice. It is in a great area. Pickup staff not super friendly but they were very busy though. I would definitely recommend this place.

I accidentally rated this business for a small shop we later went to. I confused this facility with a nearby but inferior vendor. What a fine establishment!

We stopped in this morning while the owner was roasting the beans. Not only was it a cool experience, but added to the unique atmosphere. I ordered a double-shot Cubano and a sausage breakfast burrito with fresh jalapenos. Both were amazing. You cannot go wrong with City Market Coffee!
