Kitchen review:
We invited Sun Shore Construction back to renovate our small kitchen. They installed everything but the countertops & lighting in their existing locations. The old kitchen down to the subfloor were removed. Cement board/Ditra/self-leveling cement/thinset & tiles went down giving us a nice flat floor. Outlet boxes were replaced and installed at standard height. New outlets under the sink and one for the range hood were installed. The 30" sink base cabinet was meticulously cut onsite for the 30" farmhouse sink with inconspicuous support as well as support framing for the countertop in the corner dead space. They pitched the sink drain with a clean out and neatly moved the gas supply valve for the range to a better location. Wallboard was put up and skim coated smooth. They even patched holes in the ceiling and textured them to match the rest of the ceiling, demonstrating their method to boot! Cabinets were installed and base cabinets leveled so well, no shims were necessary when the countertops were installed! New range was installed with a 60 inch flex line. Baseboards trimmed perfectly to conform to the floor and threshold. We kick ourselves for turning down their offer to install an outlet to the left of the range, which would have made that wall more aesthetically symmetrical. Think hard when declining their offers/suggestions for your project.

Had the new outlet boxes not been installed at their proper height, the four inch tall back splash wouldn't have fit. They took the time and effort to screw down the existing subfloor to eliminate any chances of squeaking. They installed the new range with a 60 inch flex line to eliminate the need to climb over the counter to disconnect/reconnect the range in the future, which allowed us to easily reset the range height after the countertops were installed; their foresight much appreciated. They did a few extra things for us outside of the kitchen project like replacing a worn shutoff valve, giving us an attractive escutcheon we didn't have before, in our spare bathroom and securing water lines to prevent water hammering. They communicate well, explain things, are efficient & reliable, and listen well. As long as what we wanted were clearly communicated to them, they were eager to make it happen. They work really hard, are super efficient and they keep the project area clean and organized. Thanks guys!

Bathroom review:
We believe no one will do a better job than we would for our home. Eric and his team's level of quality and attention to detail is at least as high as our own expectations of ourselves, which challenges our belief. The numerous positive reviews are real and we had the privilege to experience it with a near total gut and remodel of our main bathroom, our first time having a contractor work inside our house. We have been spoiled and the bar has been set very high.

Honest, hard working, respectful of our property, knowledgeable and willing to share suggestions and recommendations make them great for us to partner with to make the project go smoothly. Any questions or concerns we had were answered and addressed. Any decisions that would involve us, we were asked. We should mention the vanity shelf, shower niche, shower floor, and the threshold the Vigo shower doors sit on were custom made, and made very well, by Eric and his team.

They also went above and beyond numerous times such as picking up our glass shower door system and vanity with basin orders for the project, and purchasing materials we were not familiar with or aware of, which saved us time and money. They even went to several stores to look for, and successfully found, matching mosaic marble tiles because the ones we picked up didn't quite match nor match up to their standards and wanted our new bathroom to look as perfect as possible. It was such a pleasure to work with them and are very happy with the result and the great experience. We will be contacting them for our next project.

I cannot speak more highly of Mr. Eric Zhang and his team for a bathroom renovation. I would rank them more than 5 Stars if I could. Quite simply, they are the best.

They gut renovated both of our bathrooms, which was no easy task considering the overall age of our house, size of our bathroom, and required customization. They are incredibly hard working and always checked with us about our needs during the construction period. We feel very fortunate that we hired them. The quality of work in our bathrooms is top notch. Their ability to proceed with care, efficiency, problem-solve, communicate, and their attention to detail is outstanding. We feel like we had so many tall requests for this project and they delivered on all of them.

I hired Eric for a full update of my bathroom including converting the bath tub to a walk-in shower. Eric and his assistant Danny did an amazing job in spite of the challenges they faced (unlevelled floors/walls...due to the age of the house). The shower tiles and floor tiles came out smooth and beautiful. It was a pleasure working with them, they are on time, considerate and accommodating. The communication was easy, they always discuss with us and offer suggestions in case something unexpected happened. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone. I feel lucky to have found them for my project.

Eric and his team is one of the best contractors that I've ever hired. He delivered exactly what he promised. Extremely efficient and have the skills and knowledge of the trade. I definitely will hire him again in the future.

Eric has both the ability and willingness to attend to details and provide very high-quality outcome. He listened to our needs, was always punctual and was super transparent with his charges. Mr.Zhang and his team did a wonderful job installing my FoTile rang hood. They showed up on time, kept my kitchen area well protected during the work. The whole process was swift and done in a very professionally way . After all of the installation work is done, he explained to me how to use it and maintain it without me asking. Great work! I highly recommend them.

We hired eric to rebuild our bathroom. We want to combine the closets in separate rooms and make it a new bathroom. Eric got the idea and help us perfecting the plan. He is efficient in communication and always responds so fast. He finished the job in less than two weeks which is incredible, and the job was beautifully done.
I feel that the team respect me and my house, they put cloth on the floor and got covers on the furniture to prevent them from all the dirt and dust. They communicate well about their view about the size of the cabinets - what is too big what is ok etc. They give you advice but also respect your choice.
The price is pretty reasonable too!!! I have heard so many stories about how the contractor could slow down the work and charge more by hours. Eric and his team are just so good. Very honest people. Everything crystal clear. The most importantly, the work is neat and professionally done! I would recommend them 100% without hesitation!

Fantastic experience with Sun Shore Construction! From start to finish, Eric and his crew were very professional and diligent as they worked in our 100-yr old home to complete a fairly large project which involved removing a ceiling and refurbishing three rooms and a hallway area. Throughout the entire project they went above and beyond to ensure the work was performed in a quality manner and every detail was attended to. Communication was also excellent and we were consulted for anything that required a decision to be made. Overall it was a pleasure to work with them and I am planning to use them again for multiple other renovation projects. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Sun Shore Construction!

Eric has done an awesome job in installing our Fotile range hood! We got connected to Eric via Fotile customer service. Their price is fair (comparing to two other contractors that I asked) and their service is professional!

The duct installation was tricky in that there was not duct or the holes initially and the duct has to go sideways. Eric also explained to me the usage and maintenance of the range hood. Overall, I am very happy with Eric and his team! They are very professional and efficient (took them about 2.5 hr for the whole job). Highly recommended!

Scope of project: Bathroom renovation, kitchen backsplash install, balcony tile install.

From the start, Eric was respectful of my home. I walked several different contractors to bid the renovation project and Eric was the only one who took his shoes off before entering my home. He was also the only contractor that showed up exactly on time, not a minute late. First impressions are important!

Before starting construction, Eric meticulously laid out protection for the floor and matted the work area to ensure that the floor remained clean. During construction he gave great suggestions on paint color matching and tile layout. His attention to detail is exceptional. There were times that Eric noticed small issues in my home that was outside the scope of the renovation project. He offered to help fix the issues without bumping up the original quoted amount. The workmanship quality is top notch, my balcony is arch shaped and required a lot of tile cuts. Eric took care tile by tile to ensure that the edge matched up as seamlessly as possible.

The estimate provided was spot on, and very competitive. The project schedule proposed was also very accurate.

I'm glad to have found Sun Shore Construction and Eric's team. I'll be sure to hire them again for future projects!

Eric and his team did an amazing job in my house renovating three bathrooms and fixing a multitude of issues around the house. These included installing recessed lights, replace light switches, painting jobs, stair rail installation, replace defective light fixtures, changing leaking faucets, replace door nobs, install a new disposer in kitchen sink, even fix a broken door in the patio shed! And a very reasonable price. They left my house clean, spotless, and in time for the Holiday season. I highly recommend Sun Shore Construction, Very happy with the results !

Remodeling projects at our house can always be stressful. However, we felt extremely fortunate to have hired Sun Shore Construction for our bathroom remodels. Eric and Danny displayed a high level of professionalism and expertise from the initial consultation to the completion of the project. We were particularly impressed about their attention to the arrangement of the tiles in our shower wall, which tuned the whole wall into a masterpiece.The quality of their work is outstanding and communication was seamless throughout the project. Eric was very professional, efficient and responsible for installing our range hood. Everything was taken good care of by him. He tried his best to cover our furniture from the dust of drilling. We are very satisfied with our new range hood and happy to work with Eric again in future.

Strongly recommend Eric if you are looking for someone to help remodel your bathroom. He is super professional and responsible. What impressed me most is that he is always trying to get things done perfectly even that would take longer time, instead of expediting the project.
