Breakfast basics done well, and a very nice and welcoming staff. The owner was there, and he was making sure everyone had a good experience.

What a wonderful find. All of the places close to Grand Valley’s campus were packed due to the home game. We took a chance here and it was very good. It wasn’t very busy so they were able to quickly seat our large group. The outside was unassuming, but the inside was very nice and clean. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. Fantastic pancakes, American fries, breakfast meats, and Omelettes. I would also give the banana cream pie a chance, it was fresh and delicious.

We will be back next time we’re in the area.

Apparently this place has been here for 25 years and I'm just now learning about it. It's a family restaurant with a strong local fan base of regulars. Restaurants like this struggled hard with COVID and in glad to see this one survived.

The restaurant is basically one big open room with tables and chairs with the kitchen in the back corner. Pop's gives me vibes of small town super clubs and Midwest family restaurants. I've eaten at places like this in Iowa and Minnesota and Oklahoma. I didn't know we had something like this on GR. It's hometown folksy in all the best ways. The people here are so nice. Hospitable is the only real word for it. You'll come in, find a table, and sit yourself down. Regulars stream in and out being greeted by name.

The menu handout is simple, but there's rotating specials and soups and pies written in chalk on boards by the kitchen. They serve breakfast all day. While we were there, they served breakfast to an entire visiting college hockey team right off the team bus and every one of them looked satisfied. That's a feat!

The prices are amazing. You get great food with plentiful portions at an unbelievable price. Service with a smile and a cozy, friendly atmosphere the duration of the visit. Can't recommend highly enough.

Get the patty melt.

Do you love the classic, greasy spoon 🥄 diner? Then drive to Pop's Restaurant. Not only will you enjoy the food, the service is top notch 👌 you may even see a cowboy, no joke! Try their American potatoes, delicious 😋
I asked for jalapeños, finally was given a decent amount of heat in my food! Perfect spot!

Came to Pop's for brunch. It's kind of squirreled away in the back of a large parking lot at a storage facility. Walking inside, it has a very warm atmosphere, right now it's decked out with fall decorations. Ordered the monterrey chicken sandwich with fries and a coffee. Great place! I recommend it!

Family friendly diner serving breakfast all day and other diner staples. Service is super friendly and inviting. Definitely a local option worth checking out especially if you are in the mood for some breakfast staples or comfort food.

Walker's hidden gem. Best breakfast in NW Grand Rapids. There are some excellent places to grab breakfast in NW GR. Nothing against any of the others because they are wonderful, but Pops is somehow head and shoulders above them all. I love their omelets. I am a big eater and there is always plenty of great food. There are very experienced, helpful and pleasant servers who understand their work and their customers. Try Pops! You'll be glad you did.

Great local place to grab a bite. Great service with a large variety of food options. This is a place that has true regulars due to its location. We had the Meat & Cheese Breakfast Burrito that my Hispanic husband loved (and he doesn't like a lot of stuff). I had the Turkey Bacon Melt which was recommended to me by our waitress and it was absolutely superb. We will definitely be back.

Western Omelette and blue berry pancakes with GREAT SERVICE. I live right down the street and they ALWAYS have great food with Great service.

Great breakfast spot. Quiet, clean, friendly staff. Could tell lots of locals frequent it.

Our server kept my coffee cup full and hot! The mini breakfast was the perfect serving to feel full but not stuffed. The biscuits were soft and fluffy, and I enjoyed the sausage gravy as well.

A great owner operated business! Very friendly team. Good food. This is precisely why we should eat or shop local. Gems like these are worth the effort to find and frequent. Use your GPS. Not easy to find. I'm definitely coming back. Closed Mon & Tues.

My favorite restaurant in the Grand Rapids/Walker area. So homey and friendly. The owner is an absolute sweatheart. She is so kind and generous and never has anything but a smile for us when we walk in. It's not like it's a 5 star restaurant, but it feels like you belong there and I like that better. Like, this is YOUR locaI diner. I can't recommend it enough.

Still the best in town

We have been going into Pops for breakfast on the weekends for several months now. I can't say enough how much we enjoy it. The food is delicious, the omelets are amazing, and hot coffee is always in my cup. My only issue is the portion sizes are so big I can't eat it all. Thank you so much for being our neighborhood's hidden gem.

Drove to Grand Rapids for a work class and was hungry. This restaurant popped up on my search and have to say I loved everything about the place.
Food and coffee was great. Service excellent and the atmosphere better than the big chain places.

Good place, good food, friendly service.

However, I should note here that the place is being put up for sale by the original owners.

So, though Pop's has been for quite some years by now, I have no idea whether or not Pop's Restaurant will still be around by the time you read this.

Amazing food. I've never had one thing here that I don't like. Always quick and efficient. It's a great little hometown breakfast and lunch spot.
