Portillo's Algonquin

We visited Portillo's during their soft opening, and I've got to say that we were very impressed with how efficient the entire service was. The restaurant was extremely busy and full, but we were able to get our large order within 7 minutes. The burgers taste great,and the fries were awesome! If you have a taste for some fast food, Portillo's is a great option!

Went there for lunch today for the first time
- Fish sandwich excellent
- polish dog excellent t
- fries with cheese sauce very good
- nice atmosphere
- 10 min wait time to order and 10 min wait time for food

Overall highly recommend t

First time trying the new Algonquin Portillos. Great food and atmosphere, and my Maxwell polish and Cake Shake were fantastic. Will be back in the future

Update. 3.3.24. Always takes forever to order plain hot dog and cheese fries, however they are always packed inside so i assume they go in order whether its drive thru or inside.

Brand new location. Much closer to home. Busy as always. A little smaller than the one in elgin but still plenty of seatings. Always love the 50s decor.

Always great food. Never can go wrong! Only during Lent you can get the famous pepper and egg sandwich on Fridays!

Same great food and service that I have come to expect from Portillos! Have been waiting for it to open since it was announced. Not as big as some of the other locations but the food is still delicious, plus it's nice that they finally have a drink station so you can get your own refill

Incredibly fast service considering its opening weekend and was packed, food is as always first rate, drink station, cool automotive decor and decent outside seating for the summer

Great new location! The food here is good as it is at most of the locations in the Chicago land area. The atmosphere inside was on point as well. After eating Portilllos for almost 30 years, I tried the chicken sandwich for the first time and it was very tasty. I'll definitely be ordering that again. And the eclair cake was oh so nice and hit the spot!

Stopped into the new location to have lunch and pickup a chocolate cake we ordered for a party. From the time we walked in the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Their patio crew Christine and Bill where ready to help in anyway needed like refills on our drinks and kept the tables clean and ready for the next quests. Our food arrived quickly and exactly as ordered even though they were busy for lunch. So happy we have Portillo's in the area!

Love the service! Staff is friendly & works as fast as possible. Don’t understand the negative reviews, we live less than a mile away so we have gone more than a couple times & it has never disappointed. We already catered from here & it was perfect!

Best employee award goes to Candace and Bob! They're both amazing and made dining in a blast. They're extremely kind and interactive. Food was fresh. Recommend.

Busy line last Thursday January 11th-the calm before the storm.
Wonderful young man behind the counter named Will was doing a phenomenal job taking orders from people and delivery orders all by himself!
Was patient and pleasant throughout and his demeanor carried thru the line.
Everyone walked away from him with a smile.
You have a great new restaurant in a fantastic location and patience is the key for everyone! Will explempified that last week!

My younger daughter received a free cake slice voucher at school, so it being Friday, we decided to have dinner at portillos. It had been A WHILE since we had portillos. That cheese sauce craving sure pushed us their way. This location JUST opened so we went in knowing it was going to be packed. We were right. Parking was packed, but plenty of spaces on site. The line to order was long, but it was to be expected. The atmosphere is welcoming. The dining area is kept clean by attendants. The kitchen looks chaotic, but, being in the restaurant business I understood there was a method to the chaos. The team executes their job very well. The cashier was being trained and although she seemed nervous, she did well. The trainer was at her side and only stepped away briefly. You can tell Portillos takes training new members quite seriously. Well done. My only friction this visit was that although the cashier took our voucher, we still ended up paying for the slice of cake. Whomp whomp. NO biggie. I didn't want to interrupt the flow of the business by having to complain about it so I left it at that. It happens. Overall, my family had an enjoyable dinner and we will definitely be back. The food, the service and even the prices are not bad.

Brand new location. Fast excellent food as usual! Be aware that they are training a new crew for a new location. So be patient if something doesn't come out right. Just let them know at the pickup counter and they will fix it!

The best shake i have ever had at any of their locations, please keep up with maintenance of the machine and dont change.

These lovely folks here at this portillo's make you feel valued. They're friendly and kind, and the atmosphere ✨ 💕 please come and sit they'll make you feel at home.

Love Portillo’s, but the service has been terrible at the Algonquin location. Ihave had 3 separate orders given to me with the wrong food or toppings. Also, they forgot to make my order after I made a mobile order.

Bob in the dinning area was super welcoming and made our experience excellent and he really took the time with all of the Portillo s guest. Thanks Bob. As you know if you’re reading this you know the food is great.

Always has good foods don't know why they stopped serving there minestrone soup it was the best 1 I ever had other then our own otherwise all is great already referred portillo's to friends and relatives
