Edgar's Bakery

This is a quaint little Place, they have fresh baked bread, pies, cakes, cheese balls, cinnamon buns as well as petit fours. There is so much more. If you are having a special occasion, they will have all the real goodies that you can even ask for. They also have a great chicken salad croissant, sandwich, chicken salad wrap, and a chicken salad plate, which is similar to a salad with chicken salad in the middle.

They used to bring their cakes into work all the time at the Regions Operational Center and it was very good. Since I needed something sweet for my wife's birthday we stopped by Edgar's in Hoover. She had never been in Edgar's before and now upset with me for not bringing her in here sooner! She found two cupcakes with butter cream frosting and we got a cinnamon roll which was delicious. They also had orange roll samples at the cash register which my wive was raving about. I didn't realize they had breakfast and lunch selections along with a kid's menu. We will definitely be back to try something from their breakfast or lunch menu in the near future.

Great service every time. UPDATE: it’s been over a year since I last visited this Bakery because I was hooked 🤦🏽‍♀🥰 . Today I wanted a cinnamon roll and when I tell you Edgar’s never disappoints .. I am absolutely satisfied every time. I 100% recommend ..

Super clean, well stocked, and quick service! We had a great quick lunch and got some goodies from the bakery before we left.

The strawberry cake was awesome.. And the butter pound cake..Updating my review.. Monday for valentine day I had hopes of getting some cupcakes from here only to end up buying a whole strawberry 🍰... Well let me tell you, everyone that I shared that cake with was so in love with it.... I was never a big fan of strawberry cake before now.. But I will be coming back to buy one once a month.. My boss definitely loves it, it's his favorite.. I know what his birthday 🍰 is going to be come July..

Was passing thru Alabama and my mom who has frequently visited Birmingham and surrounding areas recommended this place. We had to check it out! We tried a couple of cupcakes from the bakery, had some breakfast and coffee to go, and also bought some of those flaky rolls, upon my moms request, and brought the baked goods all the way back to Orlando! Wish there was a place like this near us; I’d be there everyday. Keep up the great work and awesome service!

Traveling through Hoover Al stop at Edgar's had lunch hot ham cheese with potato salad staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. So if you get a hunger feeling stop in and enjoy some food at Edgar's

Edgar's is probably the best bakery in the Birmingham metro area. It's not just bakery but a place to have a bite of lunch or grab a coffee . Of course there is the bakery, and they have the best baked goods in the area.

I just moved here and the bakery close by was closed. My mom and I drove here instead and I'm happy we did. The cake was amazing! I tried only eating a little bit but ended up eating the entire slice. I plan to come back to try breakfast too! I had the strawberry cake but unfortunately don't have a photo to share. It was too good!

I can’t express enough gratitude or recommend this bakery enough. I ordered a cake online for my son’s birthday and mistakenly ordered it for it one week later than I needed. When my husband arrived to pick up the cake today and was told it was scheduled for next week, I panicked. But the team at Edgar’s jumped into action and in less than 30 minutes had him out the door with a cake that was exactly what I ordered! The cakes have always been amazing but the customer service today outranked anything I have ever seen. Thank you Team Edgar’s Hoover for saving the day!

This place is awesome, and I wish they open one in Enterprise Alabama.

I've always loved Edgar's since being introduced many years ago. They make most everything well! Their breakfast is amazing too! The pancakes rival grandma's and the service is consistently good even despite the pandemic! The only flavor cake I've had that isn't awesome is red velvet. All others are delicious! The strawberry is one they're known for making. I prefer it with cream cheese icing over more strawberry icing but many love it with strawberry on strawberry. The breads, cakes, baked goods, and breakfast won't disappoint. Try a much as you'd like. You don't regret it for taste but your waistline might 😏

If this is what King cake tastes like in New Orleans why have I waited all my life to try it! Absolutely fantastic! The sandwiches and sides were very unique and great tasting and we were not disappointed!

Strawberry cake was a huge hit! Moist and delicious. Orange (cinnamon type) rolls will melt in your mouth. We put them in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. Talk about comfort food!!

I purchased a strawberry cake for my husband. I’m not a huge fan of strawberry cake but theirs is very good. It was so moist and fresh. I use Edgar’s for lots of birthday cakes and cupcakes. They always do a great job!

The petite fours were amazing!!! The adult grilled cheese was good, but the salad was amazing! We will be back whenever back in town!

This place has the BEST orange glazed cinnamon rolls!! Also, their cakes are delicious. I love their strawberry cake. Best I've ever had!!!
