Waffle House

Coming back home from Chattanooga trip. Friend and I got the munchies. Stopped in the Waffle House in Etowah. Always a great atmosphere, service and great tasting breakfast. I'm probably considered a regular there. I go there just about every Sunday morning for breakfast to start my day.

David was amazing and I apologize for not knowing the cook's name, but she made the best chicken sandwich I ever had. David prewarmed our coffee cups to keep our coffee warmer from the get go. He was spot on our every need before we even began to request anything. He pronounced worchestershire properly, without hesitation, properly and smoothly and I feel that feat alone should have attention and praise. We went expecting an average side of the road diner experience but left with an amazing meal and fond memories of such an amazing experience. Thank you Waffle house

As you can see from our group photo, we all enjoyed our breakfast meals. When our party of 9 arrived this morning, Friday the 13th became a lucky day - two booths next to each other and 3 wait staff to take our orders. Catrina was the veteran, and she was training a young man & woman with her. We ordered our drinks, which were delivered quickly, and then breakfast.

Everyone had something different at our table. Two of us had scrambled eggs and raisin toast, but grits and bacon for one and hash browns and sausage patties for the other. One had the hash browns, bacon, eggs bowl, and another had the cheese omelet with wheat toast and hash browns. Last to order had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on Texas Toast. Not sure what the other table ordered.

Meals came quickly, hot and good. As coffee cups and water glasses emptied, they were quickly refilled. This was a busy place, but we did not feel neglected. It was a good choice for breakfast! Waffle House remains one of our favorite breakfast places - no matter where we are!

This place has really shaped up and is now a wonderful place to eat. The staff and manger there now is amazing.

Restroom has been neglected for a while now. When told the staff acted like it was an overnight problem. We are here several times a week and have noticed this ongoing. See pics.

Great american eatery! Standard menu good service. Place is fairly new so it seems cleaner than most.

The people r extremely amazing & welcoming. They may b slow-ish (only bc the food is cooked fresh n front of u 'which is wnt u wnt') it's not meant 2 b a fast food restaurant anyways. But the energy is amazing, the food isamazing & they have great hospitality 4real 4real!

Update for 5/24/2024

Great servers there, great cooks , and it seems some bad apples are going out of the door. The manager needs to do a better job at vetting people. Keep out those who cause trouble and are drug users, sellers, etc., so WH will not get a bad reputation.

Adding another 2 stars, because some of the servers and cooks there are doing a really good job, and they are worth it.

Let's just get a bot more stable on the prices though.

Can't say enough about the service. Tyler & the staff treated us like family, took time to answer questions & suggestions about visiting the area. And let my little boy talk their ears off! Lol Food was good, efficient. My coffee was never cold or had to ask to be topped off. Keep up the good work! If we are ever back in the area, we will stop again.

We had a great experience at this Waffle House!! The 3 ladies that worked there were friendly, all smiles, and went out of their ready to make us feel welcome. Food was delicious, and the place was very clean. We will definitely return next time we are driving through!!

Much much much better !!!! Then a year ago..... Awesome New Manager (Jessica )makes a world of Different.....Whole different Atmosphere ... With people that wants to work And you can see The cooks care about what they're putting in front of you is really good... Awesome!!!!!

If you haven't been to this waffle house you are missing out! We went in they were slammed but we got seated pretty quick what surprised me was how quickly the food came out, it was right and amazing so good. Ask to sit in Beth's section she is quick nice and our drinks never went empty. Fantastic experience!

Our waitress was awesome.. she was so friendly and kind and so helpful on ordering.. there was a lot of us and she took her time she was kind to each and every one and she made sure that we had what we needed before she left. Her name was Mandi.. thanks for being the kind and gentle person that you are and for making our meal enjoyable ..

Tonight was the first time I ever ate at The Waffle House. We went because it's in Etowah & close to the house. I loved it! It was scrumptious! The best waffles I've ever had! Our waitress Danielle was so nice & cheerful & the service was outstanding. We will definitely come back.

Good is good you can tell it hasn't been open long

My husband and I have been coming to the restaurant since they opened and we noticed a changed in the atmosphere since Alexis left. But today when my husband and I went there today we had Fawn who was our server and was training but she was very nice and she paid attention to our order she noticed that I was using Splenda in my coffee so she asked me if I needed sugar free syrup. Most of the time I don't get asked. My husband and I enjoyed our breakfast and the atmosphere today. Good job Waffle House in Etowah.

Best Waffle House that I've ever been to and ate at! Food is fresh and awesome and the service is great! I always love coming here whether it's to dine in or take out!
