Solvang Restaurant

Really delicious and authentic Danish food. Served fast even when they're busy. I would recommend getting a sandwich with either the Danish meatball and sausage, which are very unique and are a must-try while you're in the town. And of course you have to try their æbleskiver! I would recommend this place.

This was a great restaurant. The server was very outgoing and personable. The food was excellent! My boyfriend had the corned beef hash, which he really enjoyed. I had more traditional fare with eggs, hash browns, and sausage. We also tried the Ableskiever with raspberry jam and powered sugar. Yum!

Super little Danish restaurant in the middle of a Danish recreated town! The food was yummy, not elaborate but authentic! The Æbleskiver's were splendid and my open face sando's were good. The servers were friendly and attentive and parking was free. The nearby shops were pretty cute too, fun way to enjoy an afternoon and get some delicious food, fair prices too!

Wonderful breakfasts two days in a row. The servers were kind and friendly. All of the meals were delicious. Aebleskivers are NOT donuts -- think of them as pancakes -- which were served with raspberry jam. Not quite like Grandma's, but really good! And, for diner coffee, Solvang Restaurant's was pretty good.

My husband arrived timely as they opened and got seated immediately. The service was outstanding and quick. I ordered decaf and aebleskever with jam with a danish sausage. My husband ordered the work’s omelette and hash browns. My coffee was filled twice, so the 8am staffing was very attentive with all guests. The food was amazing and would highly recommend returning for breakfast and possibly lunch, as they had a lot of great lunch options, too!

Really good breakfast, albeit a bit of a wait on a busy Saturday morning. We really enjoyed the classic breakfast and coffee, finishing off with the æbelskivers. The bacon and hash browns were really good.

The service and the food would both great. The portions were also fairly large. Also what I really liked was that it took five, maybe 10 minutes tops for the food to be served after we ordered it.

Appetite struck while strolling through Solvang.

Decided on Solvang Restaurant. There was a wait but seated fairly quickly.

Once we were seated, we started off with mimosas, served in individual mini champagne bottles and delicious orange juice.

It was brunch. So we got the sausage platter and the Danish Dip (French dip).

The food was flavorsome. The Sausage platter gave us a variety of flavors (the red cabbage was delicious) and the sandwich filled the belly.

The ambience and service of the restaurant overall was very attentive and welcoming, definitely recommend coming here.

Also don't forget your Æbleskiver.

Beautiful place to Visit while vacationing in Santa Barbara. Food is average in most restaurants and is a tourist trap. I go everytime I am in SB

Stupendous aebleskivers, which are essentially pancake balls with powdered sugar and lingonberry jam. Perfect texture and temperature. Delicious coffee to pair with it.

From the moment we stepped in we were greeted with a smile, seated quickly, drinks arrived, and our food came out before a quick trip to the restroom. What amazing service! Huge portions and great food. The turkey cranberry sandwich was enormous. Definitely will be back next time we're in the area.

It was my first time to taste some Danish cuisine! Amazing vibes here. One of the oldest restaurants since 1652. I had the Avocado & Tomato sandwich, Chicken & Swiss sandwich and last but not the least their must have “Æbleskiver with Raspberry Jam & Powdered Sugar” was extremely delicious!

The food is very good. The Ableskievers are absolutely delicious! The waitress was very friendly and did excellent. There was a big group of people, so they were very busy but she was still attentive to us.

Cute little homey diner! perfect for a classic breakfast out, or some fun danish specialties if you're feeling adventurous, like æbleskivers, and danish sausages. Great service, great food, all with decent prices!

No trip to Solvang is complete without brunch at the Solvang restaurant. Be warned the place is super busy on long weekends. You will receive the greetings and be seated and handed menu graciously. You will decide and place your order. Then begins the agonizing pain of waiting for your food to arrive. Not because service is slow but because of the delicious aroma of some lip smacking food being served at the tables around you.

Finally your food arrives and everything is perfect again. Just Einstein's relativity making you feel you waited an eternity.

Everything is must order here and they have interesting Nordic twists on the classic pancakes. The coffee felt little off but we weren't there for their caffeine, we were there for the sugars.

Only recommendation is to start early as the wait times get longer with each passing hour.

I can usually take or leave æbleskiver, but they did a great job with them here. Wished I was hungrier to sit down for a full meal here.

Great spot for lunch and the aebkeskivers are so good!

The day after Christmas was a nightmare in Solvang, not enough public parking and long lines for pastries and restaurants! When we finally got our feet into the entrance, we were seated at the bar, otherwise the wait would be longer than an hour! We were lucky to get a nice waitress to take our order, we ordered the open-faced sandwich sampler with roast beef, ham, bratwurst , Tilsit cheese, with potato salad, red cabbage and pickles, all on pumpernickel bread, and the creamed herring plate with lettuce, tomato, beet and bread and butter pickles, so delicious, we will visit again!

This place is a must stop for us on our yearly trip to Solvanf. The breakfast is absolutely amazing. The ebleskivers are amazing but the Danish sausage is to die for. The staff are all absolutely wonderful. One waitress has been there for 20 years if not more. Absolutely amazing place.

Amazing coffee!!! Food was delicious. Breakfast special totally worth it. Very friendly staff.
