The process of getting our passports was a breeze. The wonderful lady was incredibly helpful and a very knowledgeable, jovial person. I also had a package to mail, and the man at the counter went above and beyond to ensure I had the correct postage for the dimensions of the parcel.

We had an issue where we hadn’t received our daily mail for a while. I submitted a request using their contact form as it wasn’t overly urgent, just something we needed to address. I received a call from Sue at the post office probably within the hour (I was expecting 1-3 business days for the response). They quickly found the error, owned it and apologized, and resolved it the same day! Mistakes happen, I was blown away by the response time and resolution. Thank you Plainfield USPS for all the work you do that is often unrecognized!

I visited at almost 5pm Thursday night - this was my first time here - we just moved. I have been to the whole spectrum of post offices - and thought my old one in Worth was great - very clean - people were nice enough - kept the line moving- but this Plainfield office had 2 counters open - AND a guy on the floor helping people in the line! I have never seen that before. And he was super nice! Overall, it was an easy fast visit. Now, if they had where you can view the stamps available to purchase like the Worth Post office does - that would be even better! ;)

Thank you so much for delivering an important document it was separated from the envelope the sender did not seal it properly so naturally it did separate but I really appreciate that you care enough to deliver the documents anyway and your facility is always so nice and helpful. Love this city and my USPS.

Each and every time I go to the Plainfield Post Office it is mostly busy. With the volume the staff handles, my experiences have always been pleasant. I find the staff to be extremely professional, conscientious, helpful, efficient, and friendly. The entire staff deserves kudos for doing their best to satisfy the demands they regularly face.

They do tend to have long lines. That probably gives the staff very little time to breathe, and would seem to contribute to any attitude that some customers seem to experience. We need to realize that we all have bad days, and make allowances. Also people who have bad experiences tend to write more reviews because they are disgruntled. Some of the situations people have experienced would frustrate anyone. I must say that being very pleasant and complimentary, or empathic about the postal clerk's workload can go a long way to softening any employees' attitudes. I've been in Plainfield for 12 years and have rarely had someone not be pleasant in response to my smile and greeting. They seem to want to go the extra mile when they feel you respect them. My biggest complaint would be the mail carriers -- we periodically get mail with the wrong address dribbling in. Then we go very long stretches with no errors (maybe changing carriers?). Also when the carrier is bringing a box up to the house why not bring the mail up with it, instead of putting it in the mailbox? Some do this, and some don't. But overall, I have had excellent service from our postal workers. [From things I've read, I suspect that it gets harder and harder, and less rewarding to work for the USPS].

The staff here is very nice, knowledgeable, and they provide excellent service. Plainfield is a rapidly growing city and this post office gets busy, but if there’s a line it usually goes quickly.

I lived in Chicago for many years, and going to the post office there was often unpleasant - the Plainfield USPS is a breath of fresh air.

This location of USPS is really nice, I mean the people working here. They are kind and they will remember you if you come more often. Its nice to see they are smiling at you and don't have an attitude like at other locations.

I love the Plainfield post office! Staff is helpful, cheerful and efficient, can't ask for more than that. I'm surprised at some of the low ratings. They handle a lot of customers, residential & business. Lines are sometimes long but they move along at a reasonable pace. They also have 2 do-it-yourself units for packages that are great. Keep up the good work!

I was blind sided by the fact that the USPS is still experiencing some delays across the country (that is on me though). I stopped in to get some answers related to a package stuck in Chicago. The woman that assisted me was friendly and did her best to provide all the information that she could.

The person who delivered the package was very polite as well. Please keep up the hard work, it is very much appreciated!

Great experience. The female employee who helped me (Nadola) I probably don’t have the name correct, I glanced at her ID page because she was helpful and patient despite the long line. Thank you for your assistance.

Dropped off 2 separate packages with 2 separate pre-paid mailing labels. Clerk scanned both packages. Went to track the packages and only one is shown as received, the other is pending receipt. I was concerned my other package was lost. I went back to post office this morning and Vincent took care of everything. He was so efficient and assured me my package was not lost. The scanner did not register the tracking for the 2nd package so he registered it manually.

My ring got snagged on a mailbox when I was dropping in Christmas cards. I called the next morning and in about an hour they called back and said they had the ring. It is a cheap ring but it means a lot to me. I'm so grateful that they went and got it right away. I was expecting to wait until after the pick up or the end of they day. Thanks again!

Good service even when massively busy. Notice I didn't say fast. No, the workers are unhurried as ever whether it's 20 people in line or 1.

Delays happen but my packages arrive in good condition always.

One of the best post office experiences I’ve ever had. The two nice ladies went above and beyond to find my package and get it to me by the time I needed it. The first hand effort they put in I’ve never seen before. Saved my day at work!

I know it’s a common thought that the postal service can sometimes be hard to deal with, but I have to take a second and thank every single individual at the Plainfield post office for all of their help with an EXTREMELY frustrating situation. And a most special thank you to the supervisor, Amy! You guys are incredible!!!

I wanted to send something and wanted to make sure that I received confirmation that it was delivered. The clerk was very helpful and did exactly what I wanted. The line moved quickly and the staff was very friendly and efficient. The cost to send something across the country is a great bargain.

I have only had positive experiences, at this post office. The workers have ALWAYS been friendly and helpful. They were incredibly well staffed during the holidays, too. I go out of my way to use this post office.
