This is in regards to an online order experience. I ordered a wheel and there was no indication that it was backordered. Weeks go by and I email the company to ask if it’ll be shipping soon since I didn’t receive a notification and that’s when they told me it’s backordered for about 13+ weeks. I told them I’d wait and check in every so often. After that I did not get email responses for weeks in between and would have to constantly follow up. Once we were close to the 13 week mark hit, I asked for a shipping update and they said they’d get back to me after thanksgiving. I didn’t get a response and asked if I can just cancel the order. Besides responding and giving any sort of update or confirmation, I received an automated cancellation notification 2 weeks later. For a large purchase such as this one, I felt as though they didn’t really do much to keep me in the loop, which is unfortunate because I wanted to support a small business. Maybe I’ll try again at a later time in hopes that it’ll be better.

Awesome quality clay, but lacking in communication and dependability. I made an order for my school at the beginning of November and was told I would definitely have my clay by January 15th. In January, I called for an update. My emails were never responded to. When I left voicemails, no one ever called me back. When the phone was answered and I asked for an update on my order someone always told me they were expecting clay the next week, or that is would get there soon. Well I called almost every week and the clay was still out of stock. I completely understand there is nothing they can do if the clay is out of stock, but I would have appreciated some transparency so I could have ordered through a different company sooner. I decided to cancel my order at the end of January and ordered through somewhere else. I used craneyard clay for two years with zero issues, and the clay is awesome quality, so I am bummed that it didn't work out for me this year.
