Straight to Ale

I loved it here! The service was excellent, the first waitress we had gave amazing recommendations based on my first couple beer choices and offered samples so I could narrow down which one I wanted and nailed my flavor profile. She was just delightful, so we came back a second time. The large pretzel was one of the best I’ve ever had with great beer cheese sauce, nice and warm (not like it had been sitting out). The salad on the menu was tasty and very fresh. The cheese curds were hot and fresh and delicious. My friend ordered the jerk chicken tacos and enjoyed them. The kids chicken tenders and fries were delightful as well. Make sure you check out the back patio on a nice day, we didn’t find it until the second time! A very cool space and tasty food. I also got some cans to go, which she grabbed for me and put right on my tab.

Really great place to grab a cold drink and some tasty food. My brother and sister in law always bring us here when we are in town. The place is clean with a great atmosphere. Lots of great choices on the menu for food and drinks. Service has always been great every time we have been here. Always have music playing and a festive crowd. We will be back. I recommend this business.

This place surprised me. I wasn’t really expecting much. I saw it mentioned in a YouTube video when looking for somewhere to eat.

We ended up splitting the BAMF pretzel and a Bistro Burger with Fries. The burger wasn’t cooked to hell and still had some pink. The fries were crisp and still fluffy. They could have used some more salt, but that’s it. The pretzel was great by itself. The beer cheese and mustard were both good.

We got a flight of DCBC Neon Moon, Chill Pils, Monkeynaut, and He Ain’t Heffe. They were all good. Great variety for whatever type you are looking for. I even ended up getting Monkeynaut shirt.

The place itself is in part of a complex that was made from a converted high school. The brewery tanks are in the old gym.

The service was also great. Food didn’t take too long and we were checked on enough but not too much.

Would recommend.

This place is incredible! A school turned business with food and beer! Decor is great! Food and beer delicious! Personnel are friendly. Overall, top pick for me.

Great food, atmosphere, and service. Everything came out as ordered. The napkin is posted because it was so big, one napkin for my whole meal.

I am so happy I decided to have lunch here. I almost passed because of some not so great reviews and checked brewery down the road first which had a horrible vibe and very high food prices. Decided to just give Straight to Ale a try and it was top notch. The service was personable, down to earth and attentive. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the beers and made sure I enjoyed my meal. The IPA was delicious- I wish I was not driving back to Nashville after lunch or I would have had more. The grilled cheese was stuffed full with cheese and toppings and so good. I visit Huntsville a few times a year and will be back without hesitation.

I ordered the Hambourghini, it's hugh. It has a half a pound of Angus beef but also has pulled pork and bacon and cheddar cheese and barbecue sauce and a fried egg on top. It's quite a meal, and oh yes it's very tasty.

Lively and friendly place. I’m in Huntsville for the week, and I came here three nights in a row. The beers are good and the bartenders treat you like a friend. They even recommended some other local breweries to me, which was very gracious and not self-serving. Next time I’m in Huntsville, this will be my first stop.

Come for the beer, stay for the food!

I've eaten here several times and I've had many of the menu items and they are all really good.

They have amazing wings. The hand cut fries are always good and as a huge mustard fan, I love the monkeynaut mustard.

We tried the bacon wrapped pretzel bites and these are a must!! It was such a unique combination and the cheese dip really topped off the whole experience. You must give this appetizer a try. I had the Bistro Burger this burger was tasty and cooked exactly how I asked. I loved the crunchy onion straws and the signature Bistro Sauce took this burger to the next level. Their fries are really crispy and seem to be cut in house and you must try them. My partner had the Hamburghini, he loved it! It was a big burger and could not be finished in one sitting. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed which made for an enjoyable experience.

I will say they do not have a hostess seating tables and as a party of 2 there was only an 8 top available for us to sit at. I think they could really benefit from a hostess as we ended up splitting our table with a party of 12 or so. Even at a neighboring 6 stop table a couple had sat there and a man tried to ensure he got the table after them for his party of 6. Everyone seemed friendly about the whole awkward seating situation, but the restaurant should be heading up that duty not the customer.

Love this place. Best brewery for good summer drinks and food. Mari Chris was awesome. Her service was wicked awesome and her drinks were even better. Also, shout out to the head distiller Tim. Great people they got over there.

Amazing beer and great food. Try the kimchi pork tacos!

I give it a 4.7. Food is always good. The menu will change from time to time, which shows me that they have some creativity in the kitchen. Service is great and plenty of drink selections.

Ordered a Diablo Burger with Veggie Patty and my wife got a Classic American Burger with a Veggie Patty and OMG they are fantastic! Of course they have great beers as well... 😀

Angel was very friendly && helpful. I’m not a craft beer drinker but she found me something to like. The jerk chicken tacos were very good as well. I’ll definitely be back.

This is a great, unpretentious, microbrewery. Good mix of beers but also good craft cocktails and an incredibly unique whiskey flight. Good snack food and sandwiches all at a reasonable price.

Great brewery with wonderful beers and good food. The pizza was OK
but the burgers looked better. Def recommend for the beers. Also a few different taprooms between the front back patio, and speakeasy. Spread out and have fun!

Local kitchen that does bar fight the right way in a great atmosphere. It's all around great for small groups, large gatherings, and families. The menu has what you would typically find in a bar (wings, burgers, chips, etc.) with an elevated touch. Their poutine is something definitely worth trying at least once. Also, it's located in Straight to Ale so you can enjoy a delicious brew with your meal!

Well, we went Straight to Ale for Dinner in Huntsville, Alabama. It was great. We ordered the Bistro Burger and the ribs. We will be back.
