'Tween The Lakes Motel

Stayed two nights for quick fishing trip. Place is great. Clean, well-equipped, good location, crispy cold AC working perfectly in July heat. Bill & Carol are great: warm, welcoming, you can feel that hospitality. The place where you belong! High Five! Will return. Thank you!

Could not believe tha TOP NOTCH experience that we had. The rooms were very very awesome. I have stayed in motels in the past. THESE rooms were better than the expensive hotels. They deserve 10 stars all around.

Really sweet motel with up to date rooms. This place is clean and well kept and updated, with a friendly welcoming vibe.

We stayed over 4th of July weekend, and had a wonderful stay. Room was very clean, and beds were comfortable. Bill and Carol were helpful, and very hospitable. Enjoyed a beautiful evening of fireworks, snacks, and a bonfire! Will definitely stay again. Keith and Vanessa

Had plumbing and electrical problems at my home in Montello. I chose to stay there with Bill and Carroll at their hotel. Best decision I ever made best motel. I’ve ever stayed in very clean very accommodating fantastic place to stay. Thank you very very much.

My fiance and I have been coming here for 3 years now for the 4 of July festivities. And my sister and brother in law through a party every year. It's a great place to stay comfy, peaceful and clean and the owners are great with there customer service and hospitality. Little pricey but for the comfort you get it's worth it for sure.

Great little motel. The rooms are really nice; the couple that runs the place is wonderful. There aren't a lot of options for lodging in Montello. This is by far your best choice.

UPDATE - 2024 - Bill and Carol are STILL the best. There is nowhere else you should stay in this town. Nowhere!

Don't overlook this old motel. The exterior and rooms are extremely well maintained! My expectations for a nice spot to crash on a fishing trip have been blown away. The owners are super cool too. Easily recommended!

I booked a night for my sister in law on March 14, 2023 and the owners were extremely accommodating. My sister in law said the room was immaculate and very cozy. She also said the mattress was amazing, we’d love to know what it is because we’re looking lol.
And we thought the rate was very fair.

This beautiful, on-site, detail-oriented motel is cared for by people who have put their lives into. Most importantly, it is hospital clean, bleached and loved. They should charge double in their busy season. Emphatic fan.

Excellent stay! Bill and Carol are inviting and helpful hosts. My room was newly renovated and very clean. Had all the amenities microwave, fridge, coffeemaker and menus from every restaurant in Montelo.

I prefer “mom&pop” motels, and this is a gem. Spacious, clean, well-appointed, comfortable, reasonably priced. My husband and I are in a room adjacent to my daughter and grandson—the perfect combination of privacy and closeness. I’m trusting the traffic noise will recede at bedtime. Meanwhile, I am going to relax and enjoy my stay!

I just spoke to the Bill (owner) to book a room for my Father and his fishing buddies and I had a most wonderful 15 min conversation. Bill was so nice, friendly, informative and answered all my questions. Just knowing this is a "Mom & Pop" owned business makes booking this location even more special. I do not fish and have no reason to go to this area however, I have saved this hotel information for myself to come check out the fall colors in Oct. Thank you Bill for the excellent customer service.

We had an amazing time. The owners go above and beyond. Very clean rooms comfortable beds. For having a bunch of bikers show up and rent the place out. They were fantastic.

This is our second time staying here. Both times have been amazing. The owners are so sweet. The rooms are very clean. Comfy beds and pillows. We love staying here and will continue to stay here when we come up each year!

I had the pleasures of spending the night at Tween the Lakes Motel this past Monday evening while in town to give a lecture. I was extremely happy with the accommodations. The room was exceptionally clean and the beds very comfortable. The lady at the front desk was very kind and friendly. The grounds are well kept and relaxing. I highly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay to put Tween the Lakes at the top of their list. I hope to return someday.

I had a terrific experience spending the night here. The owner and her son went out of their way to make me feel at home, and that I had a pleasant stay. My room was newly remolded and one of the nicest looking and feeling motel rooms I've stayed in. If your looking for a place to stay up in this area 'Tween the Lakes should definitely be at the top of your list.

Very clean rooms, office and grounds. Wonderful owners that go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels welcome. Would recommend. Book early for big events as they fill up fast! Best. Cleanest. Friendliest. Don't stay anywhere else.

Very cute, small room and cozy. Clean and AC worked great. Fridge, freezer,microwave and coffee pot. Friendly and good service. . First time in Montello. Owners suggested Rustic Saloon for dinner...thank you, it was a great place
