Dr. Miranda P. Gaw, MD

Dr. Miranda Gaw is one of the best internist in her field. I noticed that some people are not to happy about Dr. Gaw's office staff. Well, they are rude and incompetent and over the years they have gotten worse. But here is the thing, I am not coming to seek professional care from them.
If you can ever get through to the office, make yourself an appointment, stomach the long wait times and the rudeness, I can assure you after seeing Dr Gaw, you will come back time and time again and realize that she is among the greatest and most compassionate professionals out there. Dr. Gaw just doesn't push prescriptions on you, she orders every test that she can to seek out what is ailing you.
It is a shame that Dr. Gaws office staff diminishes all her magnificent qualities.

Update: I'm not sure if all the recent complaints concerning office staff and their unusual approach with patients, sparked an overhaul in this office. But, recently I have experienced pleasant feedback to my many questions and assistance in getting medical durable equipment in a flash. Its great to know that many of my complaints have been addressed and a solutions properly implemented. We are a society of folks quick to point out the faults of others. I simply want to point out the impressive come back and newly adopted practice this office has attempted to follow.

Hats off to the office staff at Dr. Miranda Gaw's facility, your efforts have not gone unnoticed.

I'm speaking about when I seen her in Kentucky, she was a great doctor, cared about me. I have recently moved here and she is the doctor I want 💯. She new what was wrong with me before I would see the specialist.

Dr brian and his wife are the best doctors in antelope valley and i enjoy the visits the only thing is the receptionists never answer the freaking phones and are not too friendly with patients if they could fix this little problem they literally would be the best office in socal .

She is great at listening to what it is bothering you. She is very nice and professional. It's nice to finally have another good doctor in town.

I like Dr M.Gaw, the downside is that she shares the office with her husband, and sometimes can get a little hectic during the cold and flu season, but once your called to the adult side it's ok, I just think it would be better if she had her own phone line, than it wouldn't be as busy in my opinion as far as the phone being so busy and also if the staff actually would screen the calls instead of putting you on hold, because they share the same phone number. But Dr Gaw, actually both of them are excellent Docs they try to find a solution and send you for test...they aren't doctor's that just prescribe meds and send you on your way, yes any doctor has wait time you have to be realistic things happen and people are sick so take that into consideration, if that were you wouldn't you want them to spend that extra 5 minutes with you to make sure your health is at its best!

UPDATE: Unfortunately I have to downgrade my review to 3 stars, mostly because of poor telephone communications and unacceptable appointment scheduling. Everything was great in the beginning but now it takes 3 weeks or more just to get in to see the Doctor. And almost every time I call it goes to an automated system and asks me to leave a message. SO far every time I have left a message no one ever calls me back. In fact they called me and left me a message to call them, which I did. I called and left two message and never received a call back.
I honestly don't understand why the medical profession treats us this way any more. 20 years ago and more I never had issues like this.

My MA plan changed the first of the year and I was assigned to a new medical group and needed to select a new PCP. I ended up selecting Dr. M Gaw, and I'm glad I did.

Right after the first of the year I injured my back and couldn't get into an urgent care center, and I certainly didn't want to go to the ER. As we all know the ER is a nightmare.

I called Dr M Gaw's office and after explaining what happened they immediately ordered an x-ray. They got the result back very quickly, and ordered something for the pain. And I scheduled an appointment the NEXT DAY. They worked it out so I could get into a specialist right away. Follow up appointments were scheduled within a couple of days. This is very quick, as my past doctors took up to a month or more just to get in, which is unacceptable IMO.

I was really surprised at how well everything went, the amount of time the doctor spent with me on each visit. And everyone I had contact with was very nice and helpful. Especially her nurse Ingrid. She was so helpful with everything!

It has been a night and day difference with this office and the MA medical group compared to ones I've had in the past. I have been on a MA plan for several years, with different doctors and medical groups and none of them come close to the service I have received here.

I am however giving them only four stars because the last couple times I had an appointment, they claim they ordered an x-ray, but I never received an order. The last time I was in and didn't get the order, I called and I got stuck in automated telephone hell. It was a constant loop. It just keep asking me to leave a message and looping me back to the same messages over and over. I could never leave a message. After trying for several days I finally just gave up. It really was upsetting because I could never get the front desk, just a constant LOOP.

I like the doctor I saw each time I went but the staff was horrible each time I went too. I’ve tried to call on two separate occasions and each time I was put on hold and eventually hung up on. If they had better staff I think it would be between a 3-5 Stars

Disgusting behavior! These receptionist at the front desk and the assistant Do Not follow the HIPPA LAW. Unprofessional! I am shocked what I witnessed in the waiting room. They were discussing loudly about a patient they didn’t want to see. They were sure to speak loud enough for everyone to hear. The doctor witnessed everything and walked away to her office and shut the door, unbelievable. Such disgusting disrespect

Omg! I have worked in the Medical Field and the customer service of the front desk is so bad and rude. Iam looking for a new doctor just because the rudeness and un-ethicality of the front desk. I would think that with enough complaints from patients that the Doctor’s would clean house and get a new front desk staff. And they sit and talk to one another while they should be checking in pt.’s.

I recently tested positive for COViD and wanted to report this to the dr. I also wanted to see if there was anything the dr could prescribe for my excruciating headache and body aches. I called Monday and set up a teledoc appt which I had to wait until weds at 430pm. The day and time came and no phone call. I called around 5pm and the one of the staff told me the dr has a 2 hour grace period and I would get a phone call when she wasn’t busy. I waited and waited and no phone call. This isn’t the 1st time they don’t do what they’re supposed to do. They’ve told me before they would send in prescriptions to the pharmacy that I needed and never did. I’m reporting this and changing to a different dr immediately!

I just switched my primary care provider. After having to wait an entire month for an appointment, This is my visit first to miranda gaw and most likely my last. First the office is kind of hard to find , for some reason GPS took me completely out of the way. Second the office is dirty. Third the office is split between her * for adults* and her husband *for children* .
The staff forsnt seem to be very friendly. My appointment was at 1:30 PM , it's now 1:52pm and still havent been called to start initial paper work. I'm a little annoyed because I'm a nurse and I know the process pretty well. Again this will be my 1st and last visit as soon as I walk out I'll be changing my pop asap.

Had an appointment at 3:30pm and wasn’t seen until after 5:30. Worst service I have seen from a medical professional. I don’t understand why they overbook patients. Never had a problem with doctor Brian Gaw but this is outrageous!

Can't even get through to them to even make an appointment. It goes straight to dail tone and when it actually goes through the voice mail box is full so you can't even leave a message.
