Zatie's Southern Cuisine

The minute you walk through the door, you're made to feel like family! Everyone is so friendly. The food is awesome! Everything was seasoned PERFECTLY. Best cornbread, chicken, sweet potatoes, greens, neckbones, and black-eyed peas EVER! My husband and I prayed before our meal and asked God to prosper and protect these sweet people. We will be back, Lord willing.😊 Only regret I have is that I was too full to try the red velvet cake!

This was my second food stop of the day. I live in Center Point, so I like to spend my $$ in my neighborhood as time permits. Admittedly, the plan was to get an apple fritter or two at Pop Donuts, but they are now closed on Mondays. Zatie's really impressed me by how clean the place was, the friendliness of the service and the way the employees reacted with each other in a very pleasant and helpful way. I got the dark meat chicken combo with yams and mac and cheese. I had to wait a minute or two for the mac and cheese to be refilled, but it was definitely a worthwhile wait as i found out once I got the food home and began to eat. The baked chicken was also really tasty. I'm assuming the yams were cooked with butter and brown sugar because they taste like the yams i grew up eating and that's how they were prepared. It did take me a couple of meals to finish everything, but I was definitely happy to have made the stop.

Just moved to Birmingham, we was looking fr a soul food spot. We found this spot tried them out, and we can't stop coming. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The atmosphere makes you feel like you at your grandma house. Thank you for the excellent food and the memorable services.

First time eating there. I ordered collard greens, yams, and macaroni and cheese. It was very good! I will definitely come back.

I go twice a week to Zaties!!! I absolutely love their food menu and employees they have there! There is something different to try or eat each time I go. I can’t say anything bad about this place. Their cake is scrumptious! Absolutely the first place I think to eat ANY soulfood!

A friend told me about this restaurant. I was told if I wanted a good lunch I should try this place. So I went in and I looked at The steam table. And I decided I would try them for lunch. I am a little critical of soulful restaurants because I cook pretty good myself. If I must say so. Lol. But nevertheless, I ordered my food, and I was very pleased with my meal. As far as takeout soul food goals, this meal was pretty good. I also have to give credit what credit is due. The cornbread muffins were awesome. I would definitely eat here again, and I have shared my experience with at least eight or nine of my friends already and told them they need to go and try .

This place is awesome. The food is just so tasty, and veggies are fresh and juicy. Baked chicken and spare ribs should be named best in the city.

The food is amazing, you can see that the staff there is very organized, prices are good for the amount of food you get. 10/10 would recommend for an on the go meal.

Super fresh creative and delicious salads! Excellent black owned business, will definitely be back. The carrot cake bread pudding is phenomenal!

If you're going on a Sunday, pack your patience. The line was out the door but it was oh so worth it. This is a small soul food restaurant that serves huge portions at a more than reasonable price. The side selections were pretty typical for Sunday dinner and packed with flavor. I ordered the baked chicken -dark with greens, Mac n cheese, dressing and cornbread. When I tell you these greens were so good... I didn't put my fork down until I finished. The Mac n cheese was both creamy and stretchy, the dressing was just ok but not bad and the baked chicken was AHmazing! There was so much food on the plate, the rest will be for another meal. The staff was friendly, the food was fresh and it was everything I needed for a Sunday afternoon. Try this place!!!!! We got two meals for $25 and I ordered an extra side.

Great customer service and clean restaurant! I tried the Chicken Tetrazzini, Mac and Cheese and Collards. I wasn't a fan of the Mac and cheese ,because I didn't taste multiple cheeses. Also the cornbread was hard. I still enjoyed my food!

Tried this place for the first time today and I'm happy I did. The liver and rice was well seasoned and so tender I didn't need nothing but a plastic fork. The portions were above average and the cost you just can't beat it. The it that stole the show was their green beans LAWD. They were so well prepared and perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be back

Came here with my wife for mothers day... when I say the best southern food I've tasted!!!! If you ain't eatin here you ain't eatin! Great hospitality, food was amazing, very clean and extremely friendly. Felt like we were family as soon as we walked into the door. Highly recommend Zaties!

If you're looking for some Amazing Down home Southern Soul Food, Zatie's is the spot! I visit sometimes twice a week! I always get the same thing baked chicken breast, yams, and mac n cheese.. Its good!!!! And what i like the most is the atmosphere. They definitely make you feel welcome when you walk in the door.
