Dr. Fitz Harper is a good doctor, but the staff he has working for him is the most nasty, don't care about the patients rude people in the world. They will tell lies about sending your paperwork in. They say doing nothing but play with their nails and their hair. The secretary at the hapeville office said she sent my paperwork for MRI, on my back, and both knees! For 3 months she did nothing and told me not to call! the insurance or the imagine place because they kept telling me she had not sent me paperwork in. They do not care for the patients. Dr. Harper needs to listen to his patients, we know when we hurt and where. I called anyway and I got my own paperwork thru. They are mean. He needs a turnover, get a new staff. I have been waiting for 4 years and the staff told me to buy the stuff to put in my knees to make the cartilage, they need to stock it. Then they charged me $150. Every time I go. One told me she forgot to take $10. A month when I had a co-pay.

Exceptional experience during my first visit! Pain management in Georgia Additionally, they prescribed a medication for my dystonia, providing substantial relief—a treatment my former doctor never considered. I highly encourage individuals seeking solutions for pain and neurological conditions to consider this practice. The Doctor's innovative approach and consideration for various treatments have significantly improved my quality of life. Grateful for the newfound relief and highly recommend giving them a try." Thank you, VeriSpine Joint Centers, for these services.

I started visiting urgent pain management/now, VeriSpine in January 2023 after receiving a VA referral and authorization. This would be my first ever pain medicine referral. I knew nothing of this world beforehand as my PCP had been managing my medical conditions. Nevertheless, finally being diagnosed, I was given hope I wouldn’t be totally disabled in the near future, however, I had some of the worst experiences with Dr Harper’s staff I’ve ever encountered in my lifetime. The staff, especially SHERLONNA the nurse practitioner, Mary and Lindsay were 3 of the nastiest, rudest, most disrespectful people I’ve ever known. While I experienced relief from Dr Harper’s procedures, procedures I had no choice in as my pain and issues worsened considerably, I believe my increased suffering was precipitated by the stress particularly, from all of the medication mismanagement and erroneous prescriptions.

First, SHERLONNA elected to take me off of the medications my PCP had me on for quite some time only to put me on medications that either didn’t work, cost me $200-$400 (for approximately 12 tablets) or did nothing but make me sick. Then, when she finally oput me on the medications my PCP had me on and I started getting some relief, she abruptly took me off citing some cookie cutter number per FDA recommendation I knew nothing of but, if my PCP could prescribe this regimen, why can’t Dr Harper, a pain mgmt specialist?? Nevertheless, I can’t ask SHERLONNA a question….I’d better just shut up and take what I can or risk leaving there with nothing. I know this because of the times I did get the nerve to say something, her response was very threatening for example, I tried to explain what would happen to me as a result of discontinuing my medication, her response in front of patients and staff was, threatening yet, very demeaning, “If you still have some of that medicine left, you’d better not take it! If you do, you are considered non compliant and will be discharged from this office!” Another example, I simply brought my concern about a particular medicine helping with my upper back, neck & headaches that she abruptly discontinued as it was imperative in my ability to function properly/work/ADLs etc., in spite of the fact, this is a simple medication, can be “called in” to any pharmacy, SHERLONNA refused…told me it was just my “brain” making me think that medicine worked for those issues/areas and there was no such thing as a medicine working that way. At that point, if there was any left (as I am a very forgiving person even in spite of the fact, you are ruining my life, sabotaging my health/wellness, jeopardizing my livelihood and as a healthcare practitioner myself, helping save the lives of the sick and elderly) I completely lost all respect for her. I had had enough of this particularly, SHERLONNA and Mary teaming up against me, writing my prescriptions wrong, giving me preprinted/outdated prescriptions, even writing prescriptions that didn’t exist, lying to me, all unbeknownst to me as I wouldn’t find out until I drove an hour from Stockbridge to the VA pharmacy N Druid Hills, sit there, wait an hour only to be told, the prescription is invalid, the medicine doesn’t exist, the dosage doesn’t exist, the prescription is outdated (in spite of the fact, I just had my visit like clockwork, every month), or that they in Dr Harper’s office didn’t write a certain brand I’m not allergic to as per usual. Each time, I would have to take the time off work (as if the monthly visits were not enough) drive the perscription all the way back to Stockbridge, pick up a new one & drive all the way back to N Druid Hills this happened nearly every single month. It happened so often, 2 of the VA pharmacists messaged my PCP asking for a new referral on top of my request for a new pain management referral requested during a PCP visit in June then again in October and November 2023.

1) Staff is argumentative & disrespectful
2) Constantly pushing unnecessary medical procedures to be done
3) Write prescriptions that are powerful and do not explain, the dangers to patients .
4) Still waiting for them to release my paperwork to my new doctors.
5) To be continued…

I would not recommend a dog to this Pain Clinic. I was a patient for 2 years and I’ve been through so much dealing with them like … How all of a sudden every blue moon I owe some outstanding balance that they say comes from my insurance company but I never have that problem with any other Doctor office.🙄 And then how they can’t seem to keep a nurse practitioner I’ve seen 2 come and go in the 2 years of me being a patient there but the last straw for me was when I took some pain pills back that we’re making me sick that I got filled from a pharmacy . I told them how many I took and how many I had left, which they could have done the math themselves but I wanted to do it in front of them so they would know, I know what I had….they rewrote me a new prescription but with 7 pills less ! I reached out to them to let them know what happened and they didn’t say a word. I don’t take too kindly of anyone STEALING from me.I went to get a discharge letter and they didn’t even bother to ask what was the problem and how/ If it was something that they could do to make it right. that sealed the deal even further. They are not bad people per se but they are VERY unorganized and don’t even get me started on the call center.🤦🏾‍♀
