La Kang Thai Noodles Bar

The prices are a good deal higher than Thai restaurants in the area, but La Kang feels better value because the food is that much tastier. The fried chicken and khao soi are strong recommends.

The fried chicken was fried without any breading or batter, yet the skin became crackly crisp while the meat didn’t get stringy one bit. The sauce that came with it had a nice funk.

The khao soi was extremely rich and bursting with flavor. Don’t feel pressured to finish the soup, as it felt like a whole can of coconut cream. The short rib was tender and gelatinous, not dry in the slightest. The noodles had a comforting texture, soft and silky smooth with just a little bite.

The mushroom spring roll was definitely the weakest dish. It wasn’t bad by any means, but other options are more fun and flavorful.

I wanted Thai “waterfall soup” aka “Thai boat noodles” or simply beef noodle soup. It looked like they had it on the menu and decent reviews so off I went.

I was not disappointed- thrilled actually to find such good tasting and fairly authentic beef noodle soup near me.

Other food including the scallops and dumplings were also good but the soup stole the show.

Service was a bit erratic and slow- not their fault- it was a busy Friday evening and they honestly were overwhelmed with take out orders.

I definitely will be back.

We had an amazing dining experience at La Kang Thai Noodle Bar! Their flavorful appetizers and beautifully presented curries, noodles, and short ribs definitely deserve a rave review.
Drunken noodles, and shoftshell crab basil were my fav. If you're looking for delicious and authentic Thai food in Hellertown, La Kang Thai Noodle Bar is a must-try.

Wow! Definitely recommend. As soon as we walked in we were seated and waited on. The food was served quickly and it was DELICIOUS. My husband had the hot drunken noodles and man was it hot 🔥! I had the pineapple stir fry and was so good with steak. Not only was the food wonderful and filling the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Definitely try it out.

The short ribs khao soi is delicious. The broth is flavorful and yummy and mixed with the noodles it was perfection. The iced chai tea latte was also good.

Two words…. SAVORY and SAVORY!!!!! So so tasty! My husband and I went there for lunch for the first time, and walked into a beautiful space! The decor was Modern and fresh and way past expectation as was the food! Great service and very attentive. We sat at the counter and was able to watch the Chef create literally food ART!! We can’t wait to go back and take some friends with us! We ate the Braised Beef Noodle Soup and the La Kang dumplings for an appetizer. Wonderful balance of fresh flavors. Nothing out does the other! I highly recommend this place for lunch or Dinner! Generous portions! Check it out!!

We were here on the 7/11. The food was great and the place feels cozy. Service was great. I normally hate coconut. The coconut ice cream was great. Love the lemongrass chicken. The wife enjoy the chicken pad thai.

We tried this for the first time yesterday and it was great. They have different dishes available from the sister restaurant. This was an excellent experience and we plan to add this to our normal dining rotation.

Exquisite food, excellent service, congenial staff. Pad Thai & satay were wonderful.

The book on my Kindle? "Dark Space" by Jasper T. Scott. It's an SF adventure, long but extremely well-written. I think it'd be a Glgreat book to read during a raging snow storm...just be sure your device is well-charged!

Everything about my experience was incredible. From the moment I came in to the moment I left the server and hostess kept checking in on me to make sure everything was alright, they were so sweet. The restaurant itself is small, but every inch of space is decorated very well, it’s so cozy. The food was incredible as well. I had the Massaman curry and Kang Kang shrimp and they were both full of flavor. The massaman curry had a generous helping of vegetables to it. I will definitely come back whenever I’m in town.

La Kang is easily one of the best restaurants in the area! The food is awesome, with great flavors and quality. My personal favorite dish was definitely the Short Rib Khao Soi which featured braised perfectly cooked braised short rib and noodles in a delicious yellow curry. We also tried the duck confit leg which was amazing!!!! The brussel sprouts and chicken sate were also wonderful appetizers. The service was perfect, super attentive and thoughtful. I highly recommend La Kang if you are looking for some amazing food in Eastern PA!

In its authenticity, deliciousness, and hospitality, what a joy it is to have this family-run business in the Lehigh Valley. I’m tired of the view that this quality and nuance only exists in NYC or Philly—bravo to the team here for delivering flavor and service in spades. We’ll be back again and again to support this small business.

Great atmosphere. The place is very cozy and the staff was incredible. Best Thai food I’ve had. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Will be a regular for sure! Nice mix to the food options in town and priced fairly.

Tasty food and warm atmosphere! The short rib noodles is one of the yummiest meals I’ve eaten in the Lehigh valley.
This restaurant is cozy and busy so I suggest getting reservations before coming. Still everyone was so polite no matter how busy!

The Easton location has been my Thai go-to for 2 years now, so I was eager to try the Noodle bar and eat-in. The food was amazing- had the green bean app and the short rib curry noodles (pictured). Both were fantastic and I'll be returning soon! Ambiance is cozy and cute as well, with awesome service.

Had an amazing first time this past weekend. There were so many delicious sounding options to choose I could not pick! I will definitely come again to try everything. I got the short rib noodle dish. Also had the dumpling appetizer and kang kang shrimp. All great!

Tiny dining room, so make a reservation. The food was absolutely excellent, and the staff was friendly. It's BYOB.

The food is excellent here. The food is much more authentic than most Thai restaurants.

Absolutely delicious. Lunch special is the best deal in town. I’d give it six stars if I could.
