Ixtapa Fine Mexican Cuisine

Don’t let the storefront look deceive Lou. This is true Mexican cuisine. We were greeted by Victor the owner and when we told him we winter in Mexico he offered us a tasting of his best dishes.
Everything was wonderful. Clean and unique flavors. Prepared traditionally with modern twists.
The best enchiladas enmolado(mole) were spectacular. The second vice was quick and attentive and we enjoyed every moment.
This is a KC gem. Do not miss it.

PROs: Good location. Nice establishment and the family runs it. Most time there is no wait time to be seated. Service is great and they are kind folks. Food is quick and good.
CONs: Small place. Limited parking.

We've been coming to this restaurant for almost 15 years. We had a pleasant visit with owner's son, Jessie. We mentioned we hope they will expand their business to other areas in the Northland soon.

Really great enchiladas, definitely one of the few unique and tasty enchiladas I've ever had. If there's nothing else you get you should at least get this. It's my first time but I bet the rest of the menu is good

This is not the standard tacos restaurant you can find anywhere else, but a gourmet restaurant, in par with French restaurant. Not expensive, great food, do ask for the owner's advise, you won't regret it!

Everything about this place is amazing. The food is delicious and unique it’s a one of a kind experience. Close to the airport so if you’re dashing in and out, you can stop and have a meal before your flight. I highly recommend this restaurant. I’ve been going there for years and never been disappointed. Five stars all the way for this amazing group of restaurant professionals.

The food tastes great. My husband can't eat cheese. They served it wrong at first and immediately made a new one for us. The ingredients are very fresh and delicious. The service is also very considerate. I recommend this charming little restaurant to you

Good food, good service, good price. One of our favorite Mexican food restaurant in the KC area thus far. Traditional U.S. Mexican food favorites, and more culinary delights with wonderful Mexican flavors.

We make a 45 minute trip to eat here so it deserves 5 stars.

This little gem is hiding. Very nice staff, crazy busy. Loved the guacamole. I only complaint is they do not have fajitas. But the carne asada is very tender and tasty.

Came back again. The shrimp cocktail was amazing. It's like a virgin bloody Mary with shrimp and avocado. Guacamole is still amazing.

Amazing food, I have chronic anorexia so I usually don't eat much but I got this food and shoved 5 tacos in my face and I DONT FEEL GUILTY, I don't feel bloated, I feel happy. The staff was amazing and was friendly and the atmosphere was AMAZING. 4 ppl came to $99.88 But IT WAS WORTH IT. Double date had a GREAT start thanks to this food. Ive been to michilen star places but THIS place has them beat. This food is foodgasmic

I never had food quite as good as here. The beans were amazing, the rice was flavorful, and the staff were very friendly! My only regret is I couldn't tip more.

We had a 4 course meal with drinks. All customized based on what type of food we liked. I love the way each meal was explained. We didn't know which items to order because it was authentic dishes. The flavors were perfect. I didn't need to add anything to it. Go and enjoy!!

I'm sorry I didn't take any pictures of my food. It was truly delicious. I had the street tacos with shrimp And they were flavorful, with the side of delicious beans and a spicier sauce I could add at will. The margaritas are to die for. This restaurant is in my backyard and I will be visiting much more often.

Although it has been a few years I had the best dining experience of my life here.
The manager gave a presentation and created an atmosphere beyond description.

I got the #29 Pork dinner. It was quite good. Friendly staff Slightly higher than normal pricing. They. Also offer a guacamole appetizer that was great!

These are the best steak tacos (#20) and margarita in the northland but especially zone Rosa. Its such incredible food with great service

Ordered the Molcajete for 2! We both were happy with the meal. Chips and Salsa were good. We ask for spicy salsa it had a lot more flavor and heat🔥

Mexican food unlike any chain store Mexican. So fun to eat authentic food from this region. Tip. Don't fill up on the chips. My wife had (5) Tacos Tapatios. She is a big fan of street tacos and these just became her favorite.

I had Steak Mariposa, a butterflied marinated beef tenderloin. Tender and lightly grilled. Wonderful.

My husband and I go here often and it doesn’t matter if you dine in or do carry out, the food is always amazing and the service is just as great! Their Tacos Tapatios are to die for and their Micheladas are so good too, but literally everything on the menu is delicious! I definitely recommend Ixtapa to anyone! You won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely incredible meal. Delicious, fresh tasting, and with a variety of options, you truly can't go wrong. Super friendly service only adds to the experience. Highly recommend!
