Been coming here since I was a kid and it is by far the best beach to come if you’re day tripping especially with kids. First off it’s free to get in but they have a limited amount of cars allowed in so the earlier you come (personally I get there around 10) the better! The parking lots are super close to the beach and they have plenty of bathroom/ changing rooms as well as a bar and snack stands. During the summer they have kid friendly learning activities set up by the snack stand areas. The beach Itself is super clean and due to limiting the amount of cars it’s never over crowded. If you’re ever in seaside I recommend coming here! They have 3 entrance points over so many miles and if you drive to the very end there’s a lighthouse work checking out(:

Two great lifeguards protected swimming beaches. There is a nature center, fishing beaches, and8 so so much more. The fee is only 6.00 to enter, and senior citizens can get a pass and enter for free. It's one of my favorite places.

There has been some changes at this beach, and it's one of the most nicest beaches in NJ, as an update, they have a new food court and a mini museum that's free for tourists to look at: Now I noticed that they have a "Don't Feed the Foxes" sign at the museum, but let me tell you all something, yes I know that human food can be harmful for the foxes and wildlife alike, but maybe there should be a fox/wildlife sanctuary because they are hungry and thirsty too, how would a human feel if they have to scavenge for food and water everyday living by the beach? In this sweltering heat, think about it, I am sure there is enough funding, but if more donations are needed then it can be helpful...

Best beach in NJ. Always beautiful. There are 2 guarded beaches and many places to bring your car on the beach or to walk on, but will be unguarded. Definitely opportunities to be with less people on the beach.

I recommend visiting during the week if you can to avoid the traffic and crowds. Easy access, very relaxing. Special memories of this place as the family and I spent every Saturday here during the summers when I was a kid

Favorite place to go for a sunrise walk on the beach! The trails to the beach make it feel secluded and woodsy while still being by the ocean! Also very much pup approved ☀🐶

Loved visiting the Island Beach State Park. It was so beautiful and the staff was so kind. Everything is very well kept. It’s cool to see so many untouched sand dunes. The only thing I recommend is BRING BUG SPRAY. We forgot but besides that everything was AMAZING!

Makes you feel like you’re not in Jersey for a bit. Beautiful beach that is well maintained and the water here is almost clear! You can always find a spot to park yourself, even though the beach can get quite busy. It helps to always double check that it’s not filled to capacity before making the trip. That usually happens in the late morning and they are back open in the afternoon. They have two swimming beaches, and both have restrooms and a snack bar nearby. Fun place for the family!

A Great family oriented beach! Very clean beach, not a long walk to the water with an excellent lifeguard staff to keep you safe. Also refreshments if you didn’t bring your own at the snack bar! Even has a beer garden! Restrooms and showers make it easy if you want to go to dinner or to the boardwalk after the beach! Our favorite beach!

We went to swimming area 1. The drive to reach the place is awesome. Beach is very clean and kids and family had great time. Washrooms are decent and there is a $10 entry fee!

This is by far my favorite beach in NJ.
It is a State Park, few miles long. There is a moderate fee per car to enter, summer season only (6$ weekdays, 12$ weekends for NJ residents). There are 2 areas with showers, lockers, snacks etc. The test of the beach has accesses every 300-400 yards with few parking spots available.

The best state park in New Jersey white sand blue water on ocean side, calm in the bay side. There are many small parking spots along the main road, each has its own lot number, so you can find your way back after playing on the beach. There are many animals living in the park too, osprey, raccoon … Be careful of mosquitoes, on trails to the bay side beach, I was stopped by swarms of mosquitoes not deterred by mosquito spray.

Love this beach. It's not crowded as the others. It has a beautiful scene and it's a nice place to relax with your family during summer.

Beautiful!what a great place to visit, clean , fun and plenty for everyone except some places are closed. Great for everyone. After we left we spent time at the farmers market. Colony produce is a must stop. Delicious corn a nice selection of local and seasonal produce. The owner is passionate . Hreat stop for snacks and local products,

Hidden gem alert!!’ Beautiful beaches. Relaxing beach hiking!!! Tip: drive until you can’t drive anymore (unless you have a permit to drive on the beach) park and hike to the rocks. You will have a beautiful view of Barnegat Light house. There are restrooms with flush toilets (very clean). No outdoor showers to rinse off. You can fish. Saw young kids catching crabs with nets. Look for shells. You can even have a bonfire 🔥very lovely state park. Lots of security too. $5 per car for new Jereey resident $10 for out of state.

At the end of seaside’s barrier island lies this amazing state park. Miles long with access to pristine beaches and off roading paths. Lots of native wildlife from fox to ospreys.

Proud to have such a breathtaking park near us!
