I honestly love this place! Living in Marysville, I find myself driving down here at least twice a year, just for chocolate. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality chocolate and a fun environment.

Interesting place to see- old woodwork, art from paintings to carvings and statues were all over the place, plus seeing the candy being made was fun. The kids had a great time as well. Interesting piece of history to learn about how the business started.

Boehm's Candies in Issaquah is a true treasure for any chocolate lover. It's a spot I've come to adore, with chocolates that are simply out of this world. Every visit turns into an opportunity to indulge in something incredibly savory and delicious.
While I've enjoyed everything I've tried here, the Malt Balls stand out as my absolute favorite. They're just that good—so much so that I often find myself buying packs to stash away at home, hidden from the rest of my family. There's something almost ceremonial about sneaking off for a quiet moment to savor these chocolates alone. It's my little escape, a brief retreat into a world of sweet, malty perfection.
For anyone who appreciates fine chocolate or is looking to treat themselves to some of the best sweets around, I can't recommend Boehm's Candies enough. It's more than just a candy store; it's a local gem where every chocolate is a masterpiece in its own right.

Deliciously authentic old country chocolate in a classic family tradition, complete with Bavarian styled building and decor. Not to mention sugar free magnificence for diabetics such as I.

Our new Chocolate & Ice cream Destination!
The chocolates are heavenly & the chocolate ice cream bar with nuts is out of this world!
A hidden treasure in Issaquah which Julius Boehm started in 1956. You can see the Boehm's candies lighted sign post as you go past in i-90 post exit 17. You are greeted with an old rustic cottage which acts as a storefront with Edelweiss Chalet on the first floor.
The Chalet is a collection of Boehm's memories including a replica of the Olympic torch he carried, being one of the oldest persons to climb Mount Rainier, many paintings & artifacts you usually find in Italy including a replica of "The David!". The Kitchen, Living Room and other rooms are filled with wooden cabinets/woodwork which hide the music player, refrigerator from plain sight. There is also a metallic music player which still plays delightful music!
The chocolate factory which is behind the cottage where you can see live chocolate making through the glass windows.
Bought an assorted fruit dark chocolates and they were heavenly! The chocolates & their fruit flavor were just perfect sugar content to my delight and just melts in the mouth!
Book your tours online or just go to taste these amazing local chocolates! you can see their sign from i90 after exit 17

Visited yesterday afternoon with our four little kids (thanks Blippi!). Employee Sarah was super helpful and kind and made our hand-dipped ice cream exactly to order. Fantastic chocolate and a fun experience for the whole family. Thanks Boehm's!

Got fudge and chocolates for my 98 year old mom.
Now she wants more and she's picky!
There's a reason this place has been in business for over 80 years.
Go during the week and you can see them make their treats.
PS: Best frozen banana I've ever had!

Boehm's has been a family tradition ever since I was a kid. We live in Eastern Washington and it was a stop that we always made coming over to Seattle to visit family. The Mt. Rainier chocolates were my father's absolute favorite. We got the news that father was being moved to hospice care, and he didn't have much time. I knew what he needed. We stopped by on our way and I went to get a couple of the dark chocolate Mt. Rainers. Unfortunately, due to a machine issue, they didn't have any available that day. I was heartbroken and almost started to cry. The young gal at the register asked if I was okay. I explained the situation and expressed that this was the last time he would be able to enjoy one. Her and another employee dropped everything they were doing and were on the hunt looking anywhere they could. Thankfully they found a variety pack with a couple of the ones he liked. When I presented them to him, his eyes lit up. I'm forever grateful for your business and the extra effort that your employees gave that day. I look forward to our next trip over so we can continue our tradition.

When I asked for four pounds of chocolate cordial the candy tender repeated my request I thought hell yes. At 11.25$ it was awesome. However as the supply in the tub started dwindling I thought perhaps I was mistaken. I squinted at the label and read the smaller print "per 1/4 lb. " I recanted to 1 pound. I could have gotten husband, father AND grandfather of the month for that one.

I’d say Boehms is one of the symbols of Issaquah. It was treat for our tastebuds and our eyes too. Julius Boehm brought his culture into this little town and shared it so generously with the locals. You’d really feel like you traveled to some nice little town in Austria.
Chocolate is handmade and you can see it if you take the window tour or even better - their regular tours. Their chocolates make for very nice gifts too.
Other than candies, you can get ice cream or coffee, which I had together with my marzipan candy just outside the shop, in a nice little gazebo.
I’ll be back for more.

Been there as a chaperone for a school trip. It was a wonderful experience. The person who was our guide tour was really into it and looks like she was also enjoying her time there

Best candy on the planet. A little pricey, because they don't get much traffic. I can remember going there 60 years ago with my parents and it hasn't changed. If you're in Issaquah it's worth a stop.

Boehm's is a local treasure and a staple of the Issaquah/Sammamish community. The chocolates are fantastic, the chalet (shop) is adorable, and the staff are always so sweet and friendly. This is my go-to place for all holidays and gifts.

What a fun experience! We drove 2 hours to visit after seeing Blippi make rocky road here. We were not disappointed. Lots to see in the area (Snoqualmie Falls, farms, paragliders, and more). We had lunch a block away in the charming downtown strip, then walked to the candy shop. Beautiful building with little quirks in the woodwork and lovely gardens. The window tour was fun, and finally, the shop offered much more than we expected. We all left with a treat and good memories.

One of my favorite chocolate / candy makers since 1992. Many good memories stopping there to buy pecan log for my mom when heading to Yakima to visit her for a weekend. Still just as good as the first time.

We loved it. The young lady tour guide did an amazing job. Very cool to see how they do their chocolates. It gets very busy with all the tourist. Still must stop by and try it out.

I really don't want to love this place, as chocolate is my weakness and I'm on a tight budget... That said, the employees were very sweet, the shop was adorable, the chocolates were meant to be shared but I secreted them away and ate them all in secret. I'll go back... Thankfully I don't get to Issaquah that often or my budget will skinny while my waist-line expands.... Okay, the chocolate wasn't AMMAZZING... but it was packaged beautifully. I hate to admit it, but I think the truffle recipe is very similar to the chocolate candy bars that Ikea sells (for a fraction of the cost per ounce).
Buying chocolates here as gifts, would be a slam-dunk win for any chocolate lover... But to satisfy a craving on a budget, there are equivalent tasting alternatives when it comes to simple chocolate. They have turtles, caramels and genuine liquor filled other stuff... I didn't sample those. They looked good, but not my thing.

This is a must stop place if you are in the area! The staff is friendly and helpful, the chocolates are sweet and dear (unpretentious), the environment is lovely. You'll feel like you're on a mini-Euro holiday as you browse the salted caramel chocolates, the special-sourced dark chocolates and the fun candies and gifts. They even have 50 cent postcards here if you want to share your experience the old fashioned way. I love this shop!
