The chicken sandwich was phenomenal. It was well-seasoned, juicy and fresh. My husband got the catfish plate, which was just as good. Best coleslaw I've ever had at a restaurant, too. The jalapeno ranch was awesome. In fact, everything was above and beyond. The ladies there are super nice and sweethearts as well. I can't wait to come back.

First visit to Jack's. IT'S DELICIOUS! The chicken tender basket is what I had! The portions are fair and the yound Lady waiting on us is sweet as pie! We will be back!

Great food, everything seasoned to perfection. Scratch made coleslaw is delicious, so is the home made tarter sauce. They are always so kind and polite, my whole family love this place! Highly recommended!

Heard only good comments about this place. Had the opportunity to go see for myself and I must say; the half was not told! The food was very delicious. Served hot and in a timely manner. Large portions at very reasonable pricing. The first place I have been in years where you can still get a 12oz can of cold soda for 50 cents! The staff was nice, courteous, and made sure we enjoyed our meal. It is worth the trip, the time, and the visit.

Absolutely the BEST chicken sandwich I have ever had! My compliments to the chef. The hostess, Hera, performs her service with grace and warmth. Truly my favorite restaurant in New Waverly.

I'm really impressed with this place! I prefer a place with a small menu that does it well instead of a large menu done poorly. We ordered the chicken sandwich, HUGE portion, the chicken was done very well and I really liked the bun! We also got the cat fish dinner, good chunks of cat fish, not my favorite batter (but I think the steam from the container affected it) but the flavor was terrific! The fries were basic freezer ones so I won't get that again. But the service was TOP NOTCH! Super sweet and thorough, friendly and quick! I'll definitely be back!

Don't find too many places like this anymore! I frequently eat there now, Nice people, good food, and prices are great! Try Jacks Shack if your passing through New Waverly, you won't be disappointed!

Everything was wonderful! From the moment we stepped foot in the door, feeling welcomed, placing our order, cost of our food and amount of food we received was totally worth it!!! We ate and had plenty extra to take home. We will definitely be returning soon!!

Super good catfish and chicken tenders. Tiny place, tiny menu with excellent food and friendly workers.

We visited today with my son, my husband, and his cousin. The hospitality was incredible, it wasn't just imitation, but true hospitality. They exuded warmth and care.They were adamant about taking care of us. The fried catfish is in a cornmeal breading which gives it a good texture, and their fried chicken is crispy and moist. The food was delicious, and the low cost was icing on the cake. Grateful for this little gem.

First time to visit…. I had the fish and chicken combo. You get hot fresh food.. two large chicken strips and a catfish fillet, fries,slaw,Texas toast and a drink. Small very personal place clean and friendly. Thanks for the great experience. I will be back.

The fish sandwiches and fries are delicious. The serving size is huge and unbelievably priced well. I recommend Jacks Shack to anyone that loves great fish.

It's small because it's a new place. Good is hot and fresh. Prices are awesome. I will be going back. Getting in the parking lot is tricky but it's not impossible

Great food and customer service, everyone is super nice and the food is the best in town, and the price is right for all the food you get. I would recommend this place to everyone for great food, go try it you will love it.
