This was the first time I’ve been here. I came just to see the waterfall. The girl behind the counter was incredibly nice and provided great directions to get to the falls. No backpack allowed and $5 for adult. It’s downhill and involves a few sets of stairs. Along the way you’ll see some fascinating rock structures. A little less then a mile to get there since the first outlook is closed due to repairs. This was easy enough for me and my 15 year old daughter. The waterfall was truly beautiful and a must see!

Big and mostly private sites. Utilities worked perfectly. Lots of roads and paths for walking and bike riding. Nice bathrooms and showers. Helpful staff. Wonderful being near High Falls waterfall. Everything you need for a great camping or RV experience.

Perfect short road trip from Burlington. A short hike to the spectacular! Listen for the falls, agree to have your partner lead the way while you focus only at your feet. When you feel the mist, look up!

An amazing little hidden gem. Steep but short little hike from the campground to the falls. Campsites all under tall trees with plenty of room. Some of the seasonal sites have some cool extensions so it's worth a walk around to see. Small pool but does the job on a hot day. Water quality was pretty good here (140ppm)

$5 per person to walk the trail, well worth it. Free to all campers while you stay. There are some steps on the way down but have hand rails. There is plenty of opportunities for taking photos while listening to the birds and the river flow by.

My partner Peter and I visited the campground today for a walk to the waterfall. The young woman in the store was helpful and answered our questions. After reading other Google reviews I asked if taking photos were allowed. They are. I then asked if backpacks are allowed because one review said they aren’t. The review is correct, no backpacks. The reason is people bring food in wrappers or other items in and then leave garbage on the trail. Basically, a few disrespectful people ruin it for others.

Now to the waterfall - absolutely amazing. There are also huge rock walls along the trail that are geological wonders.

The main stairs were closed so we went down another set that led us to a trail along the Chateaugay river to the falls. We took the same trail back along the river, but took a trail up a hill that brought us into the camp.

Back at the store, I met the owner and thanked her for allowing public access on her property. She was polite and very friendly. All in all, it was a wonderful walk with amazing natural wonders. My only recommendation would be better directional signage.

Kids loved this place. The waterfall was awesome! Lots of stairs but we'll worth the climb. $3 a person, under 5 is free. The girls working the entrance were great. She even gave the kids a prize for making it the whole way!

Worth the short hike but I wish the trail was more clearly marked.

We bought our camp in 2018, but my family has been enjoying this hideaway for 20 years.
The July 4th fire works are absolutely amazing !!
I really liked that all the camp owners are background checked, and everyone is so nice and helpful.
It's not uncommon for other camp owners or the campground owners to stop by and spend time with you or invite you over.
You won't be disappointed if you decide to purchase a camp or just stay a couple of nights.

In up, upstate New York in the Adirondack Region. Gorgeous wooded campground. FHU’s spacious private & level sites. We had a fire ring, and a picnic table. Our side was very shaded and so beautiful! The road coming in to the campground is fairly big rig friendly.. but is tight on the turns, may be muddy and the tree’s can be “iffy” This campground is home to High Falls, a 120’ waterfall on the Chateaugay River that can only be accessed via this campground. There is a pool, bathhouses, large playground and ball fields, great areas for walking and hiking. There is a camp store with the basics. They have weekly bingo in the social Hall. There is an entire section where seasonal campers live. Nice clean area. This is a beautiful campground for exploring the area. There is SO MUCH history here. We learned so much. We purchased fresh produce from a local farm. The Amish live in this area which is always fun to see. Not a lot in the way of grocery or big box (at all) so come stocked up. $40/night

Fell in love at first sight. Visited a few times then bought a camp in the park. There's always something to do with the kids as the park owners are fantastic and host tons of events. Animal friendly, safe and clean!! Great for day trips or all summer!!

You pay a small fee to get into a private waterfall but it is worth it. The waterfall is gorgeous and a trail loops around to a very serene river. Kids loved it and easy hike.

Even tho bathrooms closed and limited pool we had a wonderful stay here. Very friendly seasonal campers welcomed us "transients". Clean, big pull thru sites. Of course the walk to the Falls is a must do! Close to relatives we came to visit in Merrill and Constable. Took day trip to Clayton NY. Great little town on St Lawrence River. Hoped to see freighters but not this time. Koffee Kove Restaurant still there with great food and friendly staff. River Rat Cheese store a huge hit with my cousin camping with us! Would definitely return. This was 2nd time here.

What an awesome experience. Sites for larger RV’s are pull through and a lot of privacy. Given it was end of season, campsite was super quiet. Staff was super friendly and the seasonal campers who were left were always ready with a smile and a good morning. Will for sure be back.
