Main Street Abbey

We had our wedding at the Main Street Abby on 6.15.2024. Everything turned out perfect. Everyone who worked there was very kind and helpful, the day ran so smooth and they got every detail right! We loved having the hotel, bridal suite, reception, and ceremony at one location. We got so many compliments on how great the venue was. If you are thinking about having your wedding here do it!

I had my wedding at Main Street Abbey on 9/7/24 and it was a dream. The communication with the staff was excellent, they got all of the details correct, and the room flip went seamlessly. We also had our rehearsal the night before at Main Street Abbey, the staff was so helpful in making sure everything went smoothly. They make everything very convenient with the suites, hotel, reception and wedding all being on site - we had so many positive remarks about that. I would highly recommend this venue.

I photographed Courtney and Nick's lovely fall wedding day this past October here at Main Street Abbey! I highly recommend it for any couples looking for a solid, all-in-one venue for their big day. Definitely go out for night photos on the patio. The warmth of the string lights make for some really rad photos!

We had the privilege of taking wedding photos at Main Street Abbey a couple of months ago, and it was an amazing experience. The venue is gorgeous, and Ryan, the manager, is helpful, present, responsive, and wonderful to work with. I would recommend them to anyone! Five stars is not enough!

I had my ceremony at Main Street Abbey and it was beautiful. My MIL and SIL stayed in the new hotel and enjoyed all the school reference Easter eggs. I used the bridal suite, which opened to me at 7am. It was large enough to handle my family(4 sisters, mom, daughter), my MIL and SIL, my two hair and make-up people, and the my videographer and photographer. I was not involved with setting up decor in the ceremony space, but my Mom let me know that the staff was very helpful. They were also helpful with our rehearsal night.

We could not have asked for better! Their events team helps ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. We hosted all event in one location and that was so nice! every detail was perfectly executed. We could not recommend the Main Street Abbey enough, and can't wait to return for our anniversary stay at their onsite hotel. It's definitely well-worth the investment for a beautiful, love-filled weekend!"

Beautiful wedding venue. Staff was top notch and friendly. Food that was provided was delicious. It wasn’t my wedding but everything was on point.

Attended wedding. Beautiful venue. Only negative was poor sound system while minister delivered wedding vows. PA system kept cutting out so couldn't hear minister or bride/groom clearly. Facility converted to reception hall afterward.

We had our wedding at the Abbey over the weekend and I am beyond amazed at this venue and staff. Rachel was a dream to work with! She is very responsive, very helpful, and has an eye for detail. Everything was absolutely perfect. The day went by so smoothly, zero stress, and most importantly everything was EXACTLY what I dreamed my wedding would be. This venue is jaw dropping when you go in, but then add the brides vision and the abbey team, and it is seriously the most stunning venue. I can not stress how amazing our wedding was because of this venue and staff.

We had my daughter’s wedding at the Main Street Abbey on January 16, 2021, and we couldn’t ask for a better venue with professional staff! Rachel helped us from the beginning and all the way through to the end of the wedding night to ensure everything was perfect! She led the rehearsal the evening before so everyone would know exactly what would happen and when. The venue is gorgeous and we had so many compliments that night and after when the photos were published! We can’t thank them enough!

Planning a wedding is hard. Planning one during a pandemic makes it even harder. Despite all of the craziness that was 2020, our wedding reception at the Main Street Abbey was perfect. Before the pandemic, Candace made sure to touch base to see how things were progressing, giving us advice and recommendations as we initially started the long planning phase. As everything went crazy, Candace was once again staying in touch, helping us navigate an endlessly-changing, dynamic situation. When we had problems - I mean potential event-canceling problems (thanks COVID-19) - Candace worked with us to make sure everything stayed on track. We could not have celebrated our wedding without her enduring support.

Additionally, the Main Street Abbey is an absolutely gorgeous space - the high vaulted ceiling and arches, the magnificent stone structure, and the splendid terrace are all picture-perfect locations. We booked Main Street Abbey as our reception venue as soon as we saw it without visiting any other venues. Our photographers also loved every angle of it and the pictures we got were beautiful. The venue seriously speaks for itself.

I highly recommend the Abbey. The venue is absolutely beautiful! Candace was our contact from the beginning and she is very responsive and honestly cares that your event will be what you are expecting plus more! Covid definitely changed our plans, but Candace made sure that we still got married on our original date at the Venue with a limited number of guests. Our big reception is rescheduled until next year, but everything went smoothly and perfectly with the changes. We can't wait to work with the Abbey team next year as well!

This renovated church is gorgeous. If modern met classic and elegant is the best way to describe this venue. The staff is amazing and always willing to answer all my questions or find solutions. I cannot wait to have my wedding here!

This is a gorgeous venue, and a wonderful place for a wedding. The white vaulted ceilings, stained glass, and fixtures take you on a journey to another time and place. I would highly recommend this venue if you're looking for a place to tie the knot or re-up those vows. There is also a nice covered patio outside to host drinks while they set up for your reception, so there is no need for a commute to another location for the after ceremony groove sesh.

Gorgeous venue with professional and kind staff. The owners took great care to preserve the beauty and integrity of the church and have transformed it into a charming event space with a bar and stage area. I love this unique, historic building, and their brand new outdoor pavilion is beautiful!

Main Street Abbey gives the luxury of a Saint Louis wedding without the less than ideal downsides of getting married in the city. The building features extraordinary vaulted ceilings and ornate, beautifully restored pillars and stained glass, giving it a cathedral feel while still staying relevant and modern.

Located in the quiet town of Columbia, IL, there is ample on site lot & street parking and is safe. And it’s only a 15 minute drive from downtown STL!
