Barbieri & Kempe Wines

Beautiful tasting room located in Los Olivos. Danielle was very helpful in introducing the wines offered and also paired them great with a charcuterie board . They have a great selection of cheeses. Danielle made the wine tasting experience so extravagant she convinced us to become wine members. The music being played was excellent and the tasting room was kept clean.

Hi I came in a a week or two ago and finally getting around to doing a review . I had the best time and Danielle was the best host, so glad we stopped in and got some red wine . I came in with a few others on the way to a comedy show ...I was performing in. I enjoyed the red wine and am thinking of getting a membership there. I'll be back when I'm in the area, which is regularly.!One of the better places I've been !

I've been a member of Barbieri's wine club for over 8 years and recommend their wines and their tasting room in Los Olivos. I prefer to go there on weekdays, when it's quiet, so I can spend time with one or both of the owners talking and learning about their big and bold wines.
They also have a nice back patio area which I enjoyed on a day where it would have been too windy elsewhere.
Penny, their dog, will usually come around for a pet and then will go off to lie in the sun.
A lot of tasting rooms in Los Olivos aren't designed for you to spend much time there. Fortunately, this is not one of those and while they have made changes over the years, it has always remained a great wine tasting room.

Had a great tasting here. It’s amazing and I’d highly recommend the patio in the back where you can sit and relax. The canine companion is free :)

Can’t say enough about Barbieri &Kempe! My husband and I usually share tastings (I do all Kempe & he does all Barbieri) and love it all!!! We get the best of both worlds. Delicious flavors and covers all pallets. Love visiting both locations and always get great talk time with the wine maker himself.

We love coming here! The first time, we were blown away by the Kempe rosé blends, and the Barbieri blends are consistently wonderful! Paolo and Erin make this a very friendly place to hang out. The bonus for me is the cheeses they have available! You can have a picnic in the back yard. It's our #1 go-to place in Los Olivos!

We got to visit Barbieri & Kempe Wines as part of a wine tasting tour that I planned for my boyfriends birthday and it was an amazing experience. The wines were amazing and our host Paolo was great! He had set up a great charcuterie board and was so knowledgeable and the stories were great. It was truly a great experience and we loved the wine so much that we bought some to bring back home and signed up for the wine club. I love getting my shipments and my family members get so excited when I bring these wines to family dinners. I highly recommend having a wine tasting with them!

We have been members of MANY wineries over the past 15 years or so, keeping only 3 as our top choices because the wines are consistently excellent. Barbieri/Kempe is one of the three. We attended a winery pick up party with food and live music in April at the actual winery and had such a great time talking with Paolo, Erin and Massimo, who are very down to earth and will make you feel like friends. Paulo is very interesting to learn from as a Master Sommelier. We love all three labels and Massimo is definitely one to watch!

Absolutely fantastic wines! The tasting room is our favorite place to hang out in Los Olivos. Inside on one of the comfy chairs or couches or outside on the patio. Some high quality cheese and crackers available right there and you have the PERFECT afternoon. Our dog, Luna, loves it too! VERY dog-friendly. Looking forward to heading up there again for the holiday weekend.

Barbieri is one of my must-stops in Los Olivos... if I'm being honest we usually 'brunch' there. :) I found Barbieri at the recommendation of another tasting room, noting they do an all white and rose tasting flight. I'm a huge fan of both and they did not disappoint. Their reds are great too, haven't tried a single wine here that I didn't enjoy. Penny the winery pup will love on you if you are lucky enough to visit when Erin is working. Paolo is a gem with a wealth of information on wine and food and wine pairings, as a Master Sommelier. It's a definitely family affair as we've even had the pleasure of meeting Paolo's son Massimo who was working on one of our visit. Do yourself a favor and be sure to get some cheese and meats to enjoy with your wine, that's my version of 'brunch'! :)

Thank you Erin and Paolo for this wonderful tasting room. Always on our list of "must-visit" tasting rooms in Los Olivos. Always enjoy the wide variety of both Red, White, and Rose wines. And even better when pairing them with the delicious cheeses and crackers available there in the tasting room. Also always nice to visit with Penny, their adorable tasting room mascot.

Really enjoyed our visits to both tasting rooms (Santa Barbara and Los Olivos) and exploring all the Barbieri and Kempe wines through the wine club. They have a lovely selection of cheeses and other snacks to accompany your tastings. Highly recommend!

Paolo and Erin are the best! Penny is even better💗! B & K is always a go to stop for us. Fantastic wine & people. Also, it's a great place to stop for a midday snack with your wine. The cheese and meat selection is on point!

We visited here a few weeks ago. Read their website and they had interesting wines. Got there when it opened and boy was it great. The service, the flights and the wine info was amazing. I joined the club. Barbieri wines is definitely a stop when visiting Los Olivos

Amazing wines from a Master Sommelier. Great family run winery. Penny the dog is often around too. They have a nice cheese collection and two distinct lines of wines.Great Whites, Roses and big reds. They also have some of the best wine pairing dinners around.

Ive bee buying my wine almost exclusively from Barbieri Wines for years. Even after retiring from California I still find their wines the VERY best. Also, Paolo, Erin and Massimo are such wonderful people. I am a life long member—and Ive tasted a lot of wines all over the world .

The wines are excellent and both Erin and Paolo knowledgeable and ready to take the time to talk to consumers. Paolo even took time to talk to me about my own winemaking, which was incredibly helpful. I'm happy to say I also became a member!

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE this tasting room!! I cannot recommend it enough. Both owners were there when we went and they were so fun and casual when telling us about their wine. Like we were friends! It's so cute there and they even have an adorable patio. Oh- they have amazing cheese, fancy salami, and baguette to go with your wine. We even took a few bottles to go!

Amazing wine! I was one of the first wine club members when they first opened their tasting room in Los Olivos and still a member! Highly recommend.
