Update June 04, 2023:
Still 5/5 stars!! My daughter Kathryn is now 9, and we took her to Riverview Camp this morning for her 2nd year. She is SO excited to be staying 2 weeks this year! Counselors, Directors, and Staff are all so positive and welcoming. I cannot imagine a better investment for my child's future. I love to see her grow at camp in her independence, courage, and good character. Friendships made here will last a lifetime. She kept up with 1 *pen pal* camp buddy by snail mail for the whole past year. 💖 And the girls have so much fun everyday as they build skills and confidence in all their activities. Thank you again to Susan, Donna, and the whole team!!! Blessings for a wonderful summer. 🙏 For anyone considering camp for your daughters (or granddaughters or nieces!)-- I enthusiastically recommend Riverview Camp for Girls on Lookout Mountain in Mentone, Alabama. ❤ 🏞

Spring 2022
Beautiful traditional girls' camp on Lookout Mountain, with Little River running through. Had an amazing time at Mother-Daughter weekend, in excited preparation for my child's first session away at camp this summer! Delighted to carry on the Mentone, Alabama camping tradition for the 3rd generation. My mother went to Camp DeSoto, I was a camper at Camp Skyline, brother (and nephews) at Camp Laney, and now daughter Kathryn at Riverview. How good it was this weekend to see my 7-year old jumping in to ride horses, swim, do archery, arts & crafts... and especially to see the amazing staff encourage her from Saturday's attempt to climb up for zipline (crying in fear and not finishing)... to Sunday pushing HERSELF to try again-- and making it with huge smiles!! Big thanks to Susan, Larry, Donna, Vickie, and all the owners, directors, counselors, and staff who make this camp a safe place for girls to learn and grow into strong, confident, healthy, happy people. Some of my best friends in the world are folks I met at camp on Lookout Mountain starting 46 years ago! Highly recommend Riverview.

Not only did my spend every summer at river view for 11 years, but it was the highlight of ever summer growing up. I met my best friend (of 9 years) and made memories I will cherish forever.
Can’t wait to send my niece off to riverview and start the tradition over!

Attended as a chaperone for their four day, 6th Grade Nature’s Classroom program for schools. The staff were phenomenal! The food was delicious and plentiful, many items were fresh and homemade. The property offers a rich environment for so many great learning experiences in nature; problem solving, overcoming obstacles, performing, crafting, hiking, and play. Never a dull moment for my camper and her classmates!

My daughter loves Riverview Camp! She met friends during her first stay and they message each other throughout the year and come back for same session each year. The girls love the electronic free summer fun! Definitely worth the investment!

Wow wow wow. I went to RV from ages 6-16. I counted down the days through the year until it was time to be back. When I was younger I stayed 1 week of course but by 16 I’d say two full sessions (almost 2 months) the activities are endless, the friendships are for a lifetime… this is a top notch summer camp & experience. This place truly shaped me into the woman I am today. If able, SEND YOUR BABYGIRLS HERE!!! 🌞🖤🥇🏇🏻🧗‍♀🎨

Riverview is the best experience out of my whole year and I look forward to it every day. I count down the days till I get back. With a great variety or activities, amazing and kind counselors, and the most loving campers this makes for an amazing environment for girls 6-16.

Riverview Camp for Girls has been an amazing experience for our daughter, who has attended since second grade. Lovely people, they treat you like family, and my daughter has made some really nice, lifelong friends. Exactly how we hoped it would be. I can't recommend it enough. Worth every penny!

Both my daughters attended Riverview when it was Camp Saddle Rock and now my granddaughters are going to Riverview and loving every minute. It is 2 weeks away from TV, phones, boys, all social media and just time to be a KID! My daughter (now 44) went from the time she was 8 until she graduated high school. She worked as a Jr. counselor and a Counselor. It was the hi light of her Summer’s. Riverview teachers leadership, independence and Christian values. I attended the Mother/Daughter weekends with them and we had a blast. My husband and I agree it was one of the BEST experiences we gave our daughters.......they agree too! ❤

Outstanding! We have traveled from NC to AL for over 5 years so my daughter can enjoy Riverview Camp for Girls. She meets so many new girls from all over, lives in cabins, involves herself in numerous activities, and makes memories for a lifetime. She absolutely loves this camp. The entire crew of staffers and counselors are outstanding and care very deeply for the campers. In a world that is so busy, a week or two (or 4) at RIverview really helps reset and refocus on what is important to maturing adolescent girls. I am so thankful to have found and fell in love with Riverview for my daughter! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
