Happy Cow Ice Cream Shop

About an 11 minute drive from Gunstock Mountain Resort. Fantastic ice cream! Over a four evening span, I went three evenings. I knew it was going to be great, when I saw the line to order. They write your order down on a small white board, then in less than 60 seconds your order appears. The flavors of ice cream are plentiful. The chocolate chip was excellent but the Almond Joy was fantastic! They also have soft-serv and sundaes. Prices are very reasonable.

Classic ice cream stand with many delicious choices, both regular ice cream and soft serve. Last night s'mores ice cream was amazing. Even if the line is out to the driveway, it takes more than 10 minutes to be waited on, and no matter how busy it gets, the staff is always smiling

I have been to nearly every ice cream shop in the Lakes Region, and this one is my favorite for both quality and price. I've been coming here for three years. Shibley's in Alton takes second place, but they are more on the expensive side. There's also Station 66 in Jaffrey, which serves a lot of the same flavors, but they are even more on the expensive side.

My favorite flavors are peppermint stick, maple walnut, peanut butter 180, coconut, and Boston blackout.

It's usually the owner who will serve you at the very beginning and end of the season. She's a nice lady. During the summer, however, it's mostly high School girls. Their customer service is about what you would expect. I have been served by girls ranging from indifferent to slightly friendly, and there were times that I wished I had not tipped. However, if the girls put in another 10% effort to be more cheerful and friendly, then this would undoubtedly be the best ice cream shop in NH.

We went to this ice cream shop one night for dessert, which was great considering many other Ice cream places were closed for the season or for whatever reason. The staff here was nice, and we both thought our ice creams were very good. There is a display showing the various cones which included a pinecone that they were out of... They got jokes here - lol
There are lots of oddly named ice cream flavors on the menu, but not to worry, the staff is knowledgeable and knows the products well.
I got the Monkey Around ice cream in a waffle cone. What's in it? Good stuff...
This place is recommended and there are lots of good dinner options in this area.

Happy Cow is my favorite place for ice cream in Laconia. The flavors are always in point, the servings huge, and the doggie ice cream cup is seriously adorable.

Don't just drive by if the line is long because the line moves fast, and it's worth the wait. There is a long list of flavors and sundaes. I'm a fan.

I love vanilla soft Swirl ice cream cones! back when I was a little girl in Newport V.T we had the dairy joy and I loved it !! Happy cow is THE BEST ICE CREAM anywhere!! She handed me the cone and I say I paid for a medium it is 😮I could not believe the size of the cones!! My granddaughter got dirty water hard serve and she was very pleased!!! Very good service and you get your money's worth an then some!!!!

Best ice cream in the Laconia area! So many different flavor options, and the staff is super friendly and happy to serve you. Some of the flavors have different names so if it is your first time, you may need to ask what a few of them are, but all in all a great little ice cream shop :)

I love visiting when I'm home on vacation! Lots of specials but also great New England classics. Even on a cold and rainy day there's a line. The owner is very involved in the community and is always giving back. Employees are very happy to work there and are efficient.
