Very clean beach with a nice sand bar in the swimming area. Boat rentals were decently priced at $20 an hour and $10 for each additional hour, the price was for any style (single kayak, double kayak, paddle board, etc). Inside is a little beach store, bathrooms, and changing rooms.

Oh my goodness! This place was so fun. The water is very clear and the beach is kept clean. Paddle Boards were reasonably priced to rent. You know exactly where the swim area ends because there is immediate vegetation.

Beautiful clean beach. Great place to bring your family of any size. It's pricey if you want to do the "obstacles course" $17 per person(includes children).

Different options to have fun with family and friends. They also have lockers ($5) and decent restrooms and changing rooms. Clean beach, you can rent kayaks, double kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, umbrellas, and cabanas.
There are grills, picnic tables, a playground, a volleyball net, and an ATM. Not many options with shadow, so bring your own umbrellas, sunscreen, and bug repellent.
Food options:
Drinks, slush, burgers, hotdogs, soft serve ice cream, dippin dots, and candy.
They also sell overpriced dollar tree toys
Pet friendly, but you can’t take dogs to the sand or water. They offer trash bags for easy cleaning.

The whoa zone was cool, my kids age 8 & 10 LOVED it. It was $15/kid for 45 minutes but they were so thrilled it was totally worth it. There are 2 beaches, & gorgeous, soft sand. The only lifeguards present are on the whoa zone, not the beaches. You can kayak, non motor boat, paddle board... We drove around and found a great fishing spot from shore for the kids. They caught some sun fish & small mouth bass. No keepers. There are nice trails for hiking & a young explorer program for the kids every Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. & The program is TOTALLY FREE. music to this mommas ears! So a free explorer program & free entry if you have a recreation passport (available at the gate if you dont.) This is why MI is the best!

Love this beach and Holly recreation campground. The beach has a huge grass area and a huge sand area, there are little playgrounds, fun water activities (However you do have to pay for those) fishing, volleyball, BBQ pits, time of family fun!

First time at this beach....beautiful scenery all around. Huge sandy beach area, clean water. There are natural springs in the sand hence the muddy areas, but I thought they looked awesome. Not alot of shade here, bring your umbrella !! We'll be back soon.

Probably the cleanest beach I've ever been to in my entire life. I quit going to beaches years ago because of how gross they usually are but I'm really glad I went to this one a couple of weeks ago. Worth the money and the drive.

There are fish near the beach but they don't bother you.

Great beach!
I was disappointed that they were sold out of the all-day passes but you could just come for the day and only do the bouncing parts for the hour.
Regular beach area playground great facility!!

Great place for watersports, disc golf, and camping. At Heron Beach they have the Whoa Zone, which is an inflatable obstacle course on water. Tickets can be found cheaper through Groupon. They also allow you to rent kayaks, canoes, or paddle boards for $8 an hour. However, they only accept cash or checks, so remember that when preparing your trip. Overall great place with a nature trail that goes around the lake as well.

Great place to spend the day at the beach. Picnic tables, plenty of play structure's for kids & they have a floating activity center. You have to pay extra for it. They also have canoe, kayak & paddle boat rentals.
