We were just passing through town sandy from a day on the beach and wanted something different to take back to the hotel pool. This hit the spot!! The owner was very kind and takes pride in his food and his service. My hot dogs has the most fresh toppings I have ever had, the chili delicious and on top a yummy beef hot dog and hubs really enjoyed his Philly cheese steak & the fries pipping hot, fresh with a tasty zing of seasoning!! If I'm ever in the area again it's definitely a must on our list!!

Absolutely a must eat! I've had both the Italian beef and the Italian beef and bratwurst, and both were fresh, hot made to order, and fantastic! Skip the fast food and get some real deal grub. I will be back often. Oh, and the fries were some of the best I've had.

Sooooo good Chicago Roast beef- hot peppers and au Ju's - get the full bread dip too! juice ran down my arm to my elbow!

Edit (May, 2024): Now serving burgers. This place continues to impress. Hot dogs, Italian Beef are very good. The Reuben is amazing. This is a place I could eat at very often and usually do. The owner is a great guy, it shows that he wants to serve good food and please his customers.

The All-American and Kraut dogs are tasty and are a great value for the price. The owner is quite friendly and the wait time after you order is short. Best hot dogs in Rockport.

So nice to sit outside and enjoy the taste of Chicago! I’ve tried the plain Jane hot dog, Reuben and the Philly cheesesteak. I can’t even pick a favorite they were all so good! Plus, 10% off for teachers is always a great bonus!! Love this place!

I used to live in Chicago and have missed eating Chicago Dogs since the day I left. When I saw Taste of Chicago, I knew I had to give it a shot. It was amazing. The food brought me back to the days in the windy city and absolutely didn't disappoint. The food is not "fast food", they cook everything to order. The owners were EXTREMELY FRIENDLY and love Jesus! Who could ask for more? I am in the top 10% of Google restaurant reviewers and would not steer you wrong. Stop in and tell Rueben you are ready to taste some true Chicagoland food!

This gentleman knows how to make a genuine Chicago Hot Dog all the way down to the right kind of hot dog, bun and the correct condiments. He us very customer focused. Give this and other Chicago tasties.

Absolutely delicious. I'm from the Midwest, this place is so authentic. It's nice to have a place for hometown dogs. HOT and FRESH, EVERYTIME!

The staff at Taste of Chicago were quite welcoming even though we arrived near the end of their open hours. The location is a food truck with a built-on addition that has a ramp and an outdoor dining area with seats and tables. I ordered a Chili Cheese Dog and Chili Cheese Fries and we also ordered The Classic Reuben. From placing the order to receiving it was around 10-15 minutes for both orders. The food was great, just take note that if your order has chili to keep napkins at hand. I'll be looking to come back again when I'm free during their open hours. Quite a tasty deal for a good price!

My wife and I stopped by after a long day at the beach. We ordered 2 Chicago dogs and a spicy roast beef sandwich and it was so amazing. When you are in Rockport you have to stop in and try this place out, it is so authentic and fresh you will not disappointed. It is amazing!

Finally got a chance to try this place out and all I can say is delish! Absolutely loved the cheesesteak sandwich! We also got a chili cheese dog and chili cheese fries. Both were amazing! 😊
