The Farmer's Rail Hudson

This is a very cool restaurant in Hudson, OH. The meat is locally and humanely sourced. Prices are a little high, but the food is absolutely delicious. We ordered our food to go and sat at the bar to wait. The kitchen is open and you can basically watch your food being prepared. Everything was very clean. The fries were so so good. Hubby said the cheesesteak was the best he’d ever had. The plates were beautiful and the menus wrapped in leather were attention to detail that I appreciated. Wide variety of alcohol available. Very cool spot in a small town. Highly recommend.

Nice staff but the place was busy and the service was very quick and not thorough.

I have never been disappointed when I come here! My meal is always prepared, exactly as ordered. Delicious, generous portions.

We did a 5-course meal experience and it was amazing. The food included scallops, octopus, duck and aged beef everything was incredible and the wine it was paired with was delicious. A must try if you are a foodie or wine lover.

Had a wonder dinner 2 nights ago. I decided to sit at the bar since I was solo and was cheerfully greeted by Rachel. She whipped me up an amazing Berry Mojito. Then she took the time to walk me through the food menu and helped me select the Brussel sprouts and one of the famous burgers! Even up graded to truffle Parmesan fries, yum 😋 plus the manager stopped over to check on me!
I travel a lot so I love when I happen on a restaurant that has fabulous food and outstanding service! Thank you all at Farmer’s Rail.

Had a delicious brunch this past Sunday. I enjoyed a wonderful still rose of Grenache from southern France. Well priced items. Great service. Great atmosphere. The wine was crisp, refreshing, light bodied, had strawberry/lime/lemon/peach aromas on the nose with nice acidity and was harmonically paired with our fantastic selection of brunch items. My favorite was the cinnamon roll! ( I secretly have a sweet tooth )

this place is amazing. good service and both beautiful and delicious food. I got their dry aged steak and their strip steak. it was so delicious and tender. i don’t know much about steaks but i do know that this is the best steak i’ve had in my life! the fries and the brussel sprouts were delicious as well. i highly recommend coming here!

Absolutely the best bacon I’ve ever eaten in my life—not an exaggeration. The biscuits were good, too. Salads are delicious and huge. A half is plenty if you top it off with biscuits and bacon.

This company is absolutely amazing. From the fresh produce to the safe agricultural practices and award winning chef who has transformed the farm to table experience by allowing you to pick your “cut” and have it cooked right then and there.

Super service! Went back to the rail on 9/22/2023. Salmon is honestly the best I have ever had. And I just had Salmon in Dallas last night at the Crown Block restaurant which charged $52 for it. The cauliflower rice was very good too! Mixed drinks were also outstanding. And eating outside was a real treat.

Super cute spot!! Love the decor!! This is definitely a great addition to Hudson. They have so many great meat and food items, spices and other goodies!! Cheryl was very helpful with my selection of fine steaks, chops, short ribs and recommended the most delicious garlic herb butter!!
Can’t wait to check out the bar next time.

Great food, service, burbon selection!!!

Logan was a great bartender, and was good company on a tough day for me personally. The TFR burger is absolutely to die for. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Excellent.

Logan was such a fun bartender! My wife and I will definitely be back. He knew every cocktail we mentioned and they were bizarre choices! 10/10 inviting my family (only for him!)

The food was delicious 😋 but it was the fantastic service that really stood out for us . Thank you David C (the bartender that took care of our table) for the excellent service 😊

Update: the service and quality has really turned around since the opening. I think they struggled with employees and learning how to keep things going properly and well in the beginning. I finally tried the restaurant part of this but your shop. It was absolutely amazing. There’s salmon entrée was the best salmon meal I have ever eaten. I get salmon quite often all over at many different restaurants and this by far blew them all away. It had this amazing horseradish type sauce. I never would’ve paired a horseradish sauce with salmon. Usually I feel like it goes with beef, but it was perfect. It was coded and sesame. Seeds cooked exactly perfect not to raw not to dry and over cooked. It was paired with a cauliflower rice super healthy. I’ll definitely be back for that dish. I had their brussels sprouts appetizer which had a sweet-and-sour sauce on it and that too was delicious. My husband had the beef braised wonton rolls, the dipping sauce, and the rolls were to die for. Literally everything I ate was amazing. This is probably going to be one of our more frequently visited restaurants in the future. The only thing I had that was subpar was the mixed drinks that we got.

I really want to give this place five stars. I’ve tried it many times since they’ve opened. What I have found is that the quality control is not very good. Sometimes I buy chicken and it smells fresh and other times I buy chicken and it smells like it’s too old to eat. I don’t want to buy chicken to cook for dinner that night come home and have it smell like it’s rancid. They need to pay closer attention to their quality control and dates. What I do like about this place is that they carry local meats grown in Ohio and the atmosphere is wonderful. I just hope they get their quality control under hand.

First time here. Very busy which is always a good sign. Sat at the bar. Service was attentive, food was incredibly tasty and entire experience was so amazing I'm going to have to return time and time again.

Food, Atmosphere, drinks, staff, management all amazing ! We were too stuffed from the food so took cookies to go and they are out of this world delicious!
